I love my ROG Ally. I already game on PC so im use to having to fiddle with settings to get my games performing as i like. I haven't found a game it cant play yet. There are a couple querks with it so 4 stars.

The ZAGG Glass+ Defense for the ASUS ROG Ally does a decent job of protecting the screen from scratches and minor drops. It’s pretty easy to apply without bubbles, and it fits the screen well. However, I noticed that it can make the touch sensitivity a little less responsive, which is a bit frustrating during gaming. Also, the edges don’t seem to stick as well as the center, so I’m worried about dust getting underneath over time. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than nothing if you want some extra protection for your device.

I went with this device over the SteamDeck because (at least at the time of purchase) it had the more powerful specs. I do think that made the purchase worth it because I've had few issues with it running the games I wanna play (was able to handle the Oblivion Remastered game, though not at highest graphics resolution). So long as you aren't a visual purist, this thing should be able to handle any modern game out there so long as the game itself isn't buggy (cough cough Starfield...). The biggest concern I have is just that you are essentially buying just a Windows computer in handheld form with very minimal UI to support an easy play experience. The device didn't even come with any operating / set up instructions at the time, so there was a bit of a learning curve to figure it out (as I was mostly used to console interfaces before and hadn't ever done PC gaming). Once you figure it out though, it gets easier. But there are still things that annoy me about trying to play games on a handheld PC. Since ASUS has partnered more with Xbox for their newer devices, I've seen some improvements trickle through to this device that have made things slightly better, but still not great. However, I don't regret the purchase as my priority is just being able to play my games wherever and whenever I want. You also have the ability to buy the adapter and hook it up to a TV to mimic traditional console, so it does offer a traditional console like experience if you want that too. Really great option for someone who likes gaming, doesn't wanna commit to a single console, and doesn't wanna invest in the full PC gaming setup.

My unit is the ROG Ally with the AMD Z1 Extreme CPU. Setting up and upgrading the SSD from 512 GB to 1 TB was easy. All the games work great. Using the unit docked with a TV is the best. The only caveat is the battery life. It only lasts less than two hours without a charger connected. Most of the time I use the handheld connected to a charger outside or with a dock station at home. The 1080-unit screen resolution is great. I can tell since using the ROG Ally, I have not used my console for gaming. The reason is I can play games like Elden Ring at home and on the go.

It covers the screen of my ROG Ally x very well. No scratches, comes with a microfiber cloth, and some tools to help with putting the screen on. Overall, a good purchase.

Purchased for Ally X, the install adapter will Not fit the X, but install was easy without it. Comes with all the cleaning goodness, haven’t had any impacts, so can’t vouch for that. lol. Screen clarity is as good as without.

I love ZAGG screen protectors and have them on all my devices. I have yet to have a broken screen and I am a clumsy person. They're the best in the industry. Once lined up and applied, this protector looked seamless and you couldn't even tell it had any protector on it - which is the best kind. For your expensive devices, it is the best thing to make you feel safe leaving the house with your cool new toy. A++++

Purchased this a few months ago and loved it. Didn’t expect to like it so much that I upgraded to the Xbox Rig ally X.

Works great plays as good as my 3060 desktop when playing remnant 2 on 15w but with 8gb on the gpu

I have had fun with my Asus ROG. I am a truck driver so I connect to it with my mobile hotspot and I never get any lag. Graphics are amazing. Battery life is terrible though.
