It seems like a natural precaution in order to protect the surface of the new phone. It works well so far, I cannot distinguish that there are any performance issues as far as swiping or operating the touchscreen. Knock on wood, I haven't dropped the phone yet so I don't know how well it will protect the screen. But so far it has worked very well.

Great Addition to my phone

My last ZAGG was the plastic/rubber material that worked well but eventually warped and peeled over time. This is my first time using a glass protector from ZAGG and its incredible. The glass doesn't hinder the touch capability and its just like touching the actual phone. It's also easy to clean and maintain with a microfiber cloth.

Great protector based on my past experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used the Zagg protectors on my other iPhones and iPads after trying the cheap brands, which always started to peel off shortly after I applied them. The Zagg seem to adhere much better and provide great protection. We've never had a broken screen, though I'd say we're easy on our phones and also always make sure we have good protective cases for them as well. Pricey, but I make sure to always buy them on sale when I can.
