Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Rainier Snap with Kickstand for Apple iPhone 17 Pro, particularly its protective capabilities and comfortable grip that avoids excessive size. The kickstand's reliable performance and the case's overall build quality are also appreciated. However, some users have noted that the case adds some size to the phone.

Case assembly so so, ultimate protection though

Zagg offers some nice iPhone products and I’d recommend that one should consider first what drop protection is really needed to determine which of their cases is best for you. The Ranier Snap case offers significant drop protection as high as 22ft while Zagg’s Santa Cruz Snap case offers protection as high as 10ft. One primary difference is that the Ranier Snap case is a two piece case which must be snapped together. This sounds easy enough until one gets to the bottom of the phone where the charger port and speaker openings are. As we tried to get the two pieces to connect it looks like one is causing the speaker openings on the case to look smashed and if that is the case then you do not have the two pieces snapped into place completely. The notches for the two case pieces at the bottom of the phone are somewhat of a different design that those around the rest of the case so we just had to keep working at getting the bottom of the case to snap in place. Once we did the two speaker openings in the case were even and level. It just seems like the design shouldn’t be this hard to connect at the bottom. I imagine that some will return the case thinking that it is defectively made. Once assembled the case does offer quite a bit of protection with more of an elevated ridge around the phone screen and around the cameras on the back of the phone, along with corner bumpers to absorb impacts. Zagg notes that the case is fortified with graphene that is stated to be stronger than diamond and more elastic than rubber, yet up to 200 times stronger than steel. I like the integrated kickstand for extended viewing which works in either portrait or landscape mode. The gold kickstand and cream colored case complement the orange iPhone especially well. The magnetic case is also handy for using magnetic accessories and wireless chargers. This case has built in lanyard attach points and all of the button covers allow one to easily use the phone controls. There was one occurrence where I dropped my phone about three feet and there was no damage to the phone, yet I did notice that the two pieces of the case did come a little loose on one of the long sides in two places. I simply pushed the thinner portion of the case back into the other piece until I heard a snap and it has been fine since. I do wonder though if I’d have any issues with the case coming somewhat apart should a higher drop occur. Unless you need the ultimate protection of the Ranier Snap case I’d opt for the Santa Cruz Snap case as you still get the great lifetime case replacement should it break, but you don’t have to assemble the two case pieces and it is just easier to remove and reinstall the Santa Cruz Snap one piece case. Also, the Santa Cruz Snap case edges by the phone screen are still elevated for protection but not quite as pronounced so it has thinner profile. For those needing a significantly higher level of protection then the Ranier Snap case will likely be your better choice.

First ZAGG case and it is durable. Fits nice. When placed face down, the ledge protects the screen well, but ledge is also a bit slick on surfaces.
