Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the positive keyboard quality, ease of use, and protective qualities of the Rugged Book Go Keyboard Folio Case. Many appreciate its ability to safeguard their iPad and find it easy to set up and use. However, some users report issues with the durability of the stand and hinges, and a few find the case to be somewhat heavy or bulky. The battery life is also generally well-received.

Initially I loved this cover and keyboard combination and the convenience of being able to detach the keyboard. However within 2 months one of the hinges on plastic piece that props up the iPad broke. One month later the second hinge broke, so now I have no way to prop the iPad up.

I puchased this 6 months ago and one of the rear clips that hold the screen up snapped in half. Super glue wouldn't fix it so now I have to buy another one.

Strong and useful cover until the stand fell apart. Keyboard is pretty useless, as it disconnects randomly as you are typing.

I had a version for a previous model ipad, although it might be a bit bulky and at times the whole combination could be a bit heavy, as a case it is a good option specially since the keyboard can be removed if you dont need it. I still dont know a good battery life estimate of the keyboard by experience, but if its as good as other versions for previous ipad models, its a pretty long battery life.

Excellent case. The functionality is exceptional. The weight of the case is a little bit heavy but manageable. The ability to come apart is an extra added bonus. The battery life of the case has been good thus far. Will have to see after time and use. Other than that would recommend to individual who are rough on their equipment and still looking for functionality.

Overall a wonderful product, well built, functions properly and without much hassle. I love the fact that the keyboard is magnetically detachable from the main tablet, and even though I’ve never dropped it, the construction looks both solid and shock-absorbing and will likely protect the ipad well from most day to day accidents.

The best & worst product I’ve bought in 2020

When I first bought it for my iPad Pro 11, it was fabulous, until the magnet started coming loose on the hinge. Really??? Who designs that? No clamp or hook to keep it attached? Poor design. Then I dropped it, and the keyboard gradually lost it, eventually failing completely. I bought another one because I loved the solid feel it gave, the protection, and the way the keyboard feels when typing. No, I really, truly was addicted to it. Till the 2nd keyboard failed on its own. Totally. All this in the first 7 weeks on owning the iPad. I spent $37 on a clunky, unattached Logitech keyboard, the same Bluetooth model I had used for 4-5 years with a variety of phones & various iPads. It works great!! So I carry my fabulous iPad Pro 11 with the $150 Zagg keyboard, cover with Kickstand — AND the clunky, always works perfectly Logitech K-480 keyboard that I use with my iPhone and iPad. The whole thing looks dumb, but it’s protected and works perfectly.

Love this! Very sturdy and versatile case! It’s a bit on the heavy side but not a deal breaker. Bought it for my 2020 iPad Pro and it’s like having a mini laptop. I really like the fact I can separate the keyboard and just move the top part of the case around when following a recipe on Pinterest or doing laundry. The keyboard is easy to use and the keys are easy to press with no delays. Has great features like clicking the Control key twice to speak text (same as Function key on Mac) if you don’t feel like typing. Added bonus, the keyboard works even when separate from the top portion of the case! I am extremely happy with this product and highly recommend it!

The Keyboard works great. The hinges for the stand break. This was the forth case to be replaced. The plastic, and design of the stand causes the hinges to break with very few cycles.

This is my second one. I was forced to get it as my first one broke within 8 months ... The part that props the iPad up. I am not rough on my iPad at all, so it was obviously a defect. I tried for several months to contact Zagg for the one year warranty via telephone and online, which was a joke. I absolutely love the keyboard, and due to Covid finding anything else To look at to replace wasn’t happening so I snagged the last one of these in the store. Hoping it lasts longer

Like these cases for the ability to pair multiple Bluetooth devices (2) and switch between them with a button on the keyboard. Also like that the screen can be separate from the keyboard to allow for more workspace. Also, the charge time on the keyboard is great! Charge maybe once a month. The hinges do not hold up more than a year under daily use. I’ve replaced 7 of the 15 I’ve purchased, not good odds.

Cheap plastics! Does not protect iPad. The corner of my screen still cracked and it was by the keyboard magnet. The kickstand plastic will crack by the hinges. Purchased two, same issues with both.

Protects the flimsy IPad Pro 11. Just sneezing on the Pro can crack the screen, and if you use it in transit very dangerous. This does the job and gives a good keyboard interface, still allows the pencil to be charged and connected.

I was in love with this case and keyboard from the moment I opened it. It was AMAZING!! The keyboard worked perfectly and stayed charged for a surprisingly long time. My issue with this case is the hinge for the stand on the iPad case itself. After about 2-3 weeks, the hinge broke and the stand would no longer support the iPad for more than a few moments before it would slowly slide closed. I never dropped it or hit it on anything. I might have just gotten a defective one and the rest are great, but mine did not even last a month.

Spend the extra money, get the magic keyboard. This is bulky, heavy, and having to use the kickstand is a mild annoyance. You’ll need a mouse if you’re used to using the touch pad.
