I love the case for my ipad mini 2, it is very sturdy and fits well. The keyboard works great and definetly feel like i have a mini macbook now!

I would have given this ZAGG a 5-star except for the weak hinge. I have had 3 previous Zagg keyboards--2 folio and 1 slim book and now have tried this one. Within a year the hinge breaks or the holes break out which holds the iPad. Sometimes when I open this Rugged Book the iPad part of the case comes out of the hinge. It is definitely something Zagg should look into. Other than that I would recommend it fully!! Battery life is great and I love the feel of the keys! Backlit feature is nice as well but the hinge needs attention. Don't know if it is too stiff or just not heavy enough to handle the opening and closing of the unit in which it is supposed to do. iPad will go to sleep when the unit is closed. I would recommend it as long as the buyer is willing to replace it within a year.

I received the IPad mini 2 as a gift and I wanted to love it, but I found the size was too large to hold and type at the same time, and it just felt awkward to use. So it ended up in a drawer, and I went back to using my Samsung Galaxy when I needed a portable device. Then I happened upon the Zagg Rugged Book Keyboard, what a life changer, it turned my clumsy tablet into a multi-functional device for typing, surfing the net, videos, and for following a recipe in the kitchen. As for the hinge, no problem yet ,but I do recommend opening it slow and gentle. Now if they could make one that looks more feminine- it would be perfect.

If you want a keyboard this is a great model, protective for traveling.. and ZAAG warranty is good.

these keyboards work GREAT, but if you use it allot, you may not be happy with the hinge, they seem to last around a year before replacing, I would suggest the warranty for a couple dollars more!

I’m hard on my stuff ( dropped occasionally), so this case works for me. Decent keyboard. Only criticism is that my first one had such a tough cover hinge that it broke, but I had a Geek plan and it was covered 100%. New one is fine.

Great heavy duty keyboard case with excellent extra protection. Wonderful feel of the keyboard!! Zagg did good on this except the hinge weakens after several months of use. Needs to be tightened now and then.

Excellent case and keyboard. The pad disconnects from the keyboard for easier use. Had one issue, it cracked my original Gorilla Glass. have replaced the glass and so far no cracks.

I bought the Zagg iPad mini case to replace a Brookstone case for which the keyboard had failed. The Zagg case was one of the few with a built-in keyboard. While it is probably overkill for home use, I'm not concerned about protection of my iPad with this case. As in other reviews, I do have some concerns about the hinge. Be sure to grab the case and iPad firmly and open the case slowly. I sometimes use a stylus, and it would be nice if the Zagg case had a place to store it.

It is perfect for my iPad mini. Love the lights in the keyboard. Protects it very well.

It’s good for device protection. However, sometimes it’s a little hard to open.

This was the only case they had with a keyboard. I tried it for a short time but it was too bulky to fit in my purse plus it kept snapping apart. I returned it because t was too expensive. Still looking for one to fit my old mini IPad.

I've had this iPad case for a little more than three months and so far it has worked great. Charge the keyboard up when I received it and haven't charged it since. Haven't had any problems with the hinge as suggested in other reviews, so far so good. A little expensive but worth it.

This is a great keyboard. The wife loves it. Only problem is it went out after a year. This was the second one that went out after about a year. Get the replacement warranty!!

This thing is full of positives. The backlit keyboard is best yet and I’ve owned many for all my iPads. This thing protects like no other. I can’t think of a negative thing to say about this item.

I purchased this as a substitute to go with my iPad when I didn’t have enough funds for a new laptop . I was able to type and save notes and it was easy to put in my backpack or purse

I purchased this rugged iPad cover with keyboard and it is working out great! It is easy to use and holds its charge. Bluetooth communication is seamless. I highly recommend.

Rugged cover is sturdy and protects device. Bluetooth connectivity can still be spotty though.
