Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a new iPad Pro 9.7" (Verizon) to replace my iPad Air 2. Unfortunately, the Logitech Type+ case for the Air 2 doesn't fit quite right (camera is blocked, for example). With these iPads running over $600, I wanted a good, sturdy keyboard case. I chose the Zagg Rugged Book Pro for several reasons. First, an excellent backlit keyboard. Second, dedicated place to hold the Apple Pen. Third, durable and rugged construction which should help protect my new iPad Pro. Fourth, the design of the outer case gives a good gripping area, which means I am less likely to drop it. Many other keyboard cases are smooth finished and, while they look nice, easily slip out of your hands when carrying. I would have given this a "5" star rating except that the case is a bit bulkier and heavier than I prefer. Also, there is no automatic on/off when you open or close the keyboard case. I'll adjust to the larger, heavier keyboard case in time. If you need a very protective keyboard case, look seriously at the Zagg RuggedBook Pro.
