I am writing this review as I am typing on this zagg rugged messenger keyboard with my iPad. I bought it in person at my local bestbuy. I got this keyboard because i thought it was the best value for a keyboard that has excellent protection not sacrificing quality. This keyboard works good, easy to type on, and function keys are a plus. It fits snug into the iPad 10.2 inch (7th gen). It’s a Bluetooth keyboard, i wish zagg made a good smart connector keyboard for less than $100 for the budget iPad 10.2 (7th gen), but that’s the compromise you make unless you get a premium smart connector keyboard for $140+ whether its from apple or another brand. There is no typing lag with the bluetooth, unless I’m running heavy applications and multiple apps, then there is a slight lag. The other odd thing I experience with this keyboard is there are times when you turn the keyboard on, there’s no issue; but when I go to turn the keyboard off using the power button, the keyboard will power back on by itself. Not a dealbreaker, but it can be annoying trying to fight the keyboard when I want to turn it off. You get 7 backlight colors, each of those colors you can adjust the brightness. You get 5 viewing angles. You can detach the iPad from the keyboard. Here’s 2 things with the magnets: (1) wish i could use it in a reading mode, you cant tuck away the keyboard because the magnets are not that strong to hold it in a reading mode. The keyboard comes with a protective case, so you would have to completely detach the keyboard from the protective case if you want to use it in a reading mode or regular mode. This is a personal thing, but I rather would have the keyboard attached and tucked away than have to completely remove it and put it off to the side if I wanted to use it in tablet mode. (2) But the magnets are very strong when you have the keyboard closed, so you will have solid protection if you drop it, and the keyboard pretty much wont open accidentally. The magnet that attaches the keyboard to the iPad is strong. And the magnet for the 5 viewing angles are strong. You can use it on your lap. but the iPad might fall while on your lap in the lower angles compared to the more upright angles. For weight reference. My 7th gen 10.2 inch iPad is 1 lb 2 oz without any case. The detachable case added makes it 1lb 9oz. And with the keyboard and the detachable case it is 2 lb 12 oz. I’ve only used this for a week so far for about 30 min a day, and haven’t had to charge it yet. There is a battery indicator, but the lights only indicate if it’s above 50%, 25%, or low. Overall, I think this is a great durable keyboard case that doesn’t compromise quality for the price like that of premium keyboards.

I tried a Bluetooth keyboard a year or so ago. Didn’t use it long. Then my iPad was knocked off a table and the case it was in failed to protect the screen. It shattered. Got a new iPad and wanted a case that would really product it. I’ve used ZAGG screen protectors for some time and like their quality, so decided to get this case for both protection and to try the keyboard again. Good choice. I haven’t tested the protection ability of the case, and hope I never do, but it just feels like it can take a fall and protect the iPad without any problems. And was very pleasantly surprised by the keyboard. I almost never use my desktop anymore as the keyboard makes my iPad a true mini computer! I do almost everything on the iPad now, as the keyboard makes typing thing vastly easier than using the screen. The only drawback is it’s comparatively heavy. But that’s not an issue for me. I recommend this!

I would say over all it's a good keyboard case, but the magnet on the case does not always hold the ipad open in place the way it should. It could use a stronger magnet to help hold the case when it's opened up. The keyboard seems to work very well so far and it holds it's charge a long time. I light the backlit keys and the action on the keys is also nice. The case holds the ipad in place when it's closed and stays secure. The Apple Pencil fits in the loop on the back of the case, but the case does tend to slip when you open it if the pencil is in the loop.

This Zagg case for my Apple ipad 10.2 is perfect. It has magnetic hold for the ipad and an attached keyboard. It is sturdy and closes nicely for great protection and it is a stand to use

I purchased this case/keyboard for my new 10.2" iPad. I was initially draw to it by the price. I have purchased other ZAGG products and always thought they were well made. The keyboard is great, it pairs with your Bluetooth quite easily and functions as it should. The iPad case is seperate from the keyboard and is magnetic so it is no problem to detach or reattach to the keyboard. The only con, and it isn't really a problem, is that the case isn't as easy to prop up as some other styles when using the keyboard. I think this is a best buy for the money.

Would recommend. Very versatile and sturdy but a bit heavy at times. Yet it is very close to what I was looking for. Keyboard works great!

This case is extremely durable and works perfectly with the iPad. One drawback is that it is a little heavier than expected. This could be a positive feature as it will definitely protect the iPad. You won't be disappointed.

This case takes no prisoners!! Solidly constructed, though a bit heavy with tablet. Quick pairing, and tablet rests securely in case with quick removal/attachment. The backlit keyboard is bright enough to compensate for my hunt-and-peck typing. on a firm surface, tablet is effective in laptop mode, but if you are using case while in bed, for example, tablet would be better off removed.

Nice set up very pleased with build has heavy weight but is very good protection for I Pad. Keyboard interfaced very easy. No issues. Vry sold

I absolutely love my Zagg keyboard. I love that I can change the colors and it protects my iPad 7th generation at the same time as allowing me to use it as a stand also. The lights are my favorite and I love how easy it is to type on it. Highly recommend to all!

This case / keyboard works perfectly with my iPad Pro 10.2 The keyboard has a very long battery life. I like how you can just pull the iPad out and use it as a tablet without the keyboard hanging off of it.

Easy to use and the colie keyboard makes it enjoyable to use at night.

I like this case and it is very solid for the purpose of protection. It is slightly difficult to stand up. Every time I want to stand it up, I have to think about how to do it. You also have to fiddle with the angle. However, it is good value and overall I am glad I bought this one because protection from drops is so important.

My Keyboard Folio Case was tough for the average person to just know how to set up with my IPAD, so I requested the help of our IT guy at my place of employment. It seems to be working well for me, so far. It’s built tough and I like how it wraps good and snug around my IPad, keeping it out of harms way.

I purchased the keyboard to go along with our new iPad. We gave the iPad to a family member who is older in age. Being back lighted really helps her as she's old, her eyes don't just focus the same. Because of the innovative design and rugged frame this keyboard case delivers satisfaction every time. One of the little pee n poo dropped it off a ladder and it bounced. I thought for sure it was done however it didn't get a mark. High quality keyboard case. Defiantly recommend
