It is very user friendly... you take take off your iPad at any time easily... connects via Bluetooth. And you can connect more than one device.. I actually connected my iPhone then I was able to use the keyboard to type on my phone.

No recommended if you want Rugged

The backlit keyboard is nice. I would gladly have traded the lighting for a more rugged case
