I love how clear cases are becoming more popular, showcasing the features of the phone, while still providing protection without feeling cheap or yellowing. Zagg has put together a protective case that does this, providing rigidity while working in magsafe and a kickstand. It’s hard for me to describe what the case is made out of. It’s rigid but doesn’t seem fragile. It’s not quite plastic but not quite rubber or silicone. Someone who knows materials may be able to speak better to this. Zagg claims it’s scratch resistant, which I love because hard plastic cases which were the standard for clear cases were prone to getting scratches over time and not looking good. To be less scratch resistant, manufacturers tried a softer polymer type clear case, that usually yellowed over time. Zagg is saying they fixed that too. The long term usage will test out both of these claims, but with many other manufactures’ claiming never yellow technology, I’d say there’s something to the latter. Zagg does have a claim that their newer line of cases is made with graphene. I spent a few minutes searching their website and youtube page to get more information. Most of what I found was just promotional CGI marketing. I’m genuinely curious how graphene is integrated and if there’s a measurable difference in how it protects the phone inside the case or if it’s just marketing. To get the 13ft drop protection claim, they had to make sure the case protects the phone, obviously. A few ways I noticed they did this was the snug fit of the phone inside the case along with support by creating a connecting piece of protection between the cameras and flash. While a lot of case makers are leaving the whole “camera shelf” open to fend for itself, Zagg took advantage of the blank space and reinforced it. If you look on the inside of the case, around the edges, you’ll see a black rubberized inserts that add a layer of protection to the corners and edges. I would imagine these act as shock absorbers in the event of a drop to disperse the kinetic energy and prevent damage. Also, the power, volume buttons, and action button are all covered while the camera control button remains open, likely due to the capacitive nature of the button, requiring touch for input. As for design, I wouldn’t say this is a thin case. It does add some dimension to the iPhone, but not so much that it can’t fit in the special side pocket of may carpenter jeans or hinder how I use it. This is a necessary tradeoff to get the layers of protection built into the case. There is some stippling on the side of the case that help with grip making it easy to pick up and hold. It is slightly aggressive so it can feel a bit prickly to the finger tips, but actually work great when using a natural grip to pick up and hold. You can see the magsafe ring on the back, indicating it will work with magsafe accessories, and it does. I will note, however, that I think the magsafe magnets could be a bit stronger. One feature you can’t forget is the kickstand. While very simple, it’s such an underrated feature to have. At work, I like to keep it in portrait mode, using the kickstand, so I can see notifications as they come through. At home, it goes into landscape as I catch up on video creators I enjoy watching. It’s easy to grab with a fingernail and pull out, even with freshly clipped finger nails. I didn’t have this on my previous case and I found myself using this more than I thought I would. The phone pushes out of the case from the top so if you want to give everything a wipe down, you can do so with ease. The case itself is a bit of a fingerprint magnet. They easily wipe away using your shirt or a microfiber cloth, but it doesn’t take long to come back. I do like to use my phone out of it’s case when I’m at home so hopefully this stands the test of time of cycling a phone in and out of it. Zagg has been around making products for the iPhone for a long time and they’re nearly synonymous with screen protectors. I’m not surprised to see such a high quality case coming from them. They’re also very known for their warranty. Don’t sleep on registering your case and being protected.

The minute I put this case on my shiny new iPhone 17 Pro Max, I was impressed. It instantly felt and looked like solid, good protection for my very expensive smartphone. I really like the stylish clear case with black accent borders. Looks great contrasting with my Cosmic Orange iPhone! The sides have a nice grippy feel and the buttons click just right--not too hard to push, but also not too easy to push where one would be accidentally clicking things on and off constantly. The cutout for the camera button is a lifesaver--with other cases, I was always accidentally pressing it and turning the camera on; with this case, the button is recessed just enough so that I no longer have those accidental presses. The front of the case has a nice raised lip (but that’s not too prominent), where you know your screen is protected when the phone is face down or may be dropped and lands face down. Same goes for the camera and flash cutouts on the back. The cutout for the USB-C plug-in is also good in that it can fit any of my several USB-C charge cords no problem (in the past I've had some cases where it would only fit the standard Apple branded ones and not other brands which may have slightly bigger ends that plug into the ports). The MagSafe ring also works perfectly with all my MagSafe compatible products, with a nice strong magnet. And I love love love the convenience of the built-in stand! I use it all the time throughout the day; it is stable in either landscape or portrait mode. If you are looking for good, affordable, stylish and reliable all-around protection with the convenience of a built-in kickstand, this is the case for you.

I recently received my new Zagg Santa Cruz Snap Case with Kickstand for my iPhone 17 Pro Max, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its quality and robust design. Zagg has built a loyal customer base over the years, renowned for its phone cases, screen protectors, and lens cases. The case is not flimsy at all; it has a solid build. The left side features buttons for the action button, volume up, and volume down. The bottom houses the microphone and speaker grill holes, as well as the charging port. The right side includes the power button and a cut-out for the Camera Control Button/Slider. On the back, there’s a MagSafe ring for attaching MagSafe accessories like wallets, battery packs, and stands. Proper camera and sensor cut-outs are also on the back that as designed on the new iPhone 17 Pro series. I’ve been using this case for a couple of weeks now, and I’ve enjoyed it much more than I anticipated. It feels even more sturdy than another brand I’ve used for the past few years. That case comes in two pieces to ensure sturdiness and protection. Oh, and I almost forgot, the back also features a kickstand, which is great for watching something on your phone in either portrait or landscape mode at your desk or in the kitchen if you enjoy following along with recipes. One feature I absolutely love is the little grip ridges or bumps all around the edges on the sides of the case. This is perfect for preventing your phone from slipping out of your hands. Great case to protect your investment.

I was a little skeptical at first; I worried this case might be too thick and add unnecessary bulk to my phone. But honestly, it’s not bad at all. Zagg really nailed the design here. It’s thoughtfully constructed, offers solid protection, and still manages to avoid feeling overly bulky. I have the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the clear/black combo looks fantastic with it. The orange really pops through the case, giving it a sleek, eye-catching look. One of the standout features is the kickstand. It’s surprisingly sturdy and holds my phone up effortlessly whether I’m FaceTiming or watching videos. It supports both horizontal and vertical orientations with zero wobble, super convenient! The raised front edge does a great job protecting the screen and screen protector—no more annoying corner chips on those glass protectors. The camera bump and surrounding area are also well-guarded, so if you’re worried about scratching or chipping that delicate coating, don’t be. This case has you covered. MagSafe compatibility is also on point. The magnets are strong and reliable, so accessories stay put without a hitch. The only potential downside is the added thickness. If you prioritize a super slim profile above all else, this might not be the case for you. But if you care more about protection and don’t mind a bit of extra heft, this case is absolutely worth checking out.

Zag makes some quality products so I didn’t hesitate to order this case for my new iPhone 17 Pro Max. I normally don’t go for clear cases because they eventually turn yellow or because I just prefer a darker finish. This case is well built and designed for the all of the buttons, including the camera control button. MagSafe works very well with this case and I like addition of the kickstand which allows multiple viewing angles. The outer perimeter of the case has some nice texture that adds to the “grippiness” of the phone. I’ve never felt like it was going to slip out of my hands, even when my hands were wet. The only negative I can say about this case, isn’t really a fault of Zach at all. I’m a bit OCD about things and it bothers me to look at the MagSafe print on the back of the case and see the Apple logo covered. It’s not about wanting to see the logo, it’s more about attention to detail. Again, this is no fault of Zagg because the MagSafe magnet has to fit a certain spot on the case in order to correctly attach and charge the device. This is a minor thing but I felt the need to mention it. This has been my daily case since I got it and I really like it. I just hope it doesn’t turn yellow like most clear cases do over time.

Now that Apple has decided to revert to Aluminum as the material of choice for even their highest-tier iPhone Pro Max, replacing almost indestructible Titanium of the past two years (and Stainless steel for a few years before that!) with the softest metal their cheaper phones were made from, its more important than ever to protect your digital companion with a good case that offers coverage and impact absorption. The Zagg Santa Cruz Snap is a nice protective case, answering the call well with full body coverage, a good lip of cover around the screen, and a nice design for dealing with the new protrusion on the back of the phone that Apple is calling the "plateau". There are a few design criticisms of this case, which I would deem perfect if an alternative model was announced to correct them: - Finish: If this came in a matte finish where it wasn't so shiny and slippery, it would look so good on the iPhone. The aesthetic of the Apple devices is always matte finish, I dont know why more cases aren't made to accommodate this. - Color: I love the dark grey finish on the sides and frame of the case, I only wish there was an entirely dark grey variant that replaced the clear elements with a (matte, as mentioned before) grey finish. Especially with Apple not releasing a grey/dark variant of the phone this year, only Silver, Dark Blue and Orange, it would be nice to be able to case style in this to "darken" the phone. - Design: I dont mind the exposed magnets or the contrast of the case so much, but I dont understand why the contrast created a frame around the "old" iPhone camera bump space. Why not bring that contrast frame around the entire new "plateau" area to highlight the new design. 90% of why people upgrade iPhones nowadays is to show off that they have the new one (either by color or design) as features have stayed relatively flat until this year, with the plateau showing a clear distinction on the Pro models of a deeply improved camera system. Highlighting this would have been a good idea, where this case ALMOST looks like it's trying to be a test phone case to mask the changes for someone hiding this new phone design before it's released. Maybe the manufacturer didnt fully know of the changes coming to the phone and their prototypes provided still showed a focus on the camera bump? It just keeps the case from looking as modern as it could and highlighting the change in the new phones. These design wants are subjective, so to each their own. Bottom line: This case protects well, is nice to carry and the kickstand is unobtrusive but really useful for watching videos or setting the phone down to monitor something while keeping hands free. Zagg is a protective leader and I trust their products to do a good job, even though I'd probably have made some different visual choices.

This Zagg iPhone case is an absolutely fantastic option to protect your iPhone 17 Pro Max. This is a crystal clear case featuring anti-yellowing technology, a kickstand, and 10 ft drop protection. The edges of the case are textured for good grip. There is a raised lip around the camera lenses to protect them when laying flat on a hard surface. The kickstand is not adjustable, but it's position is set for the most common viewing angle for both landscape and portrait viewing. The stand itself is thin, but sturdy. So I don't worry that the stand itself will break. But the phone can definitely be knocked over easily when bumped. The buttons and ports can all still be easily accessed with the case on, and the buttons still have a nice tactile click when pressed. The case is compatible with magnetic chargers and feels like it has a good strong magnet. I tried a few different magnetic chargers and all adhered very strongly to the case. Overall, I am very happy with this case. It offers nice protection, a kickstand, good grip, magnetic charger compatibility, and looks great. Easy recommendation.

Got this for my iPhone 17 Pro Max because I’m a tough guy who loves destroying his phone on a monthly basis. The case is super rugged and thick. It makes normal cases seem svelte by comparison. Most clear cases I’ve had over the years are either too slippery or add too much grip, making them get stuck on my pocket because I wear really tight pocket work pants. This one has some textured grip on the side that prevents me from dropping it but also allows it to slide freely in and out without getting stuck from friction, if that makes sense. The kickstand sits flush with the case when it’s retracted but pulls out easily. It is a thin metal bar but is very strong and sturdy, is infinitely adjustable, and stands the phone in both portrait and landscape mode. This is the other really cool feature with this case. Time will tell how the anti-yellowing works out. I am a filthy tradesman, so most of my cases get nasty. I can recommend this handily if you’re constantly dropping your phone and putting it into harm’s way like I do.

This is the third Zagg case I have owned. Case is still clear as promised by the manufacturer. Stand come in handy and it is quite useful. Color accent gives this case a better look compared to All clear cases that look cheap.

First time buying a Zagg phone case, all I can say is Wow, great design and phone protection! Must have!
