    Not for iPad Pro 9.7

This keyboard does not work with iPad Pro 9.7. When I put the iPad in the case, it fits fine, but the case will not seat correctly on the keyboard. This causes the keyboard and iPad to separate upon closing the unit, and if your not careful, sending it crashing to the floor, like some other reviewers stated. I own the 12 inch iPad Pro with this keyboard and its flawless. I called Zagg yesterday and they confirmed they do not have one iPad keyboard that fits both model iPads. I was told the dimensions are different between the two keyboards. The part numbers are different for Air 2 and Pro 9.7. There is a cheesy thin sticker on the box that says it fits both iPad Air 2 and Pro 9.7. The sticker is so thin, you can see through it where it says it only fits iPad Air 2. Was told by the BestBuy associate it would work, not his fault, he's going off what the product says. I ordered the correct Zagg keyboard straight from the manufactures website ($30 cheaper). Not sure who, if BestBuy or Zagg, re-purposed these keyboards and trying to sell them off as fitting the iPad Pro 9.7, but they do not work, and you risk your iPad Pro 9.7 by using this particular one marked as fitting both models.

Love the case. The connection process was very simple. It was one of the nicest cases Best Buy had in the store and was very affordable. I would buy this case again.

Poor quality for a Zagg product

I purchased this case / keyboard back when I got my iPad Pro 9.7 in November. BestBuy had them on sale for $49.99 each. Upon opening it I found the hinge was very stiff and it required me to hold the unit against a table and press the iPad into the hinge to open it. Within 2 months the plastic of the hinge started cracking and now it is broken enough that the iPad won't stay in the hinge. Also the plastic used to hold the iPad has cracked in several places. The only saving grace is that I didn't pay the $129.99 that BestBuy is getting today. Very low quality case for being a Zagg and last Zagg case I'll get.

    Great keyboard with minor issues

For the price, this keyboard offers quite a bit: full case for the iPad itself, which then attaches magnetically to a bluetooth keyboard. The case seems to amplify the speakers slightly as well, which is nice. Two minor issues, however: One, the case is a very tight fit. It doesn't *quite* go past screen, which may not protect it if it falls flat to the floor, screen first. Two, the angle adjuster for the screen when connected to the keyboard is very tight. So tight in fact that sometimes I feel I'm going to break the plastic. It's designed this way so the iPad will sit on the keyboard without moving back and forth while you type. But be aware and only adjust it with the iPad connected to the keyboard, and you'll be fine.

This keyboard is very good. It connected to the iPad very quickly, adds very little weight and holds a charge for many days. The spacing of the keys makes it very easy to type on. My only concern is a few keys have come off, luckily I saw them fall off and the keys easily snapped back in place and worked fine once snapped back on.

Not a Purchase I Would Make Again

I have purchased Zagg covers and protective screens for all family mobile devices since we purchased our first iPhone years ago. I have been an ardent and vocal fan of Zagg. I am also a heavy business traveler and rely on my Apple devices to keep me connected in flight, in meetings, in hotel rooms, and for personal use. Choosing Zagg has been a "given" whenever I upgraded devices. Up until now, this has been a non-negotiable requirement. It is hard for me to admit that this Zagg product was a significant mistake. When I purchased my most recent iPad, I immediately protected it with Zagg. I initially thought the two part folio design would be very helpful given the many ways I use my iPad. Installation was seamless...but the rest of my experience has been a continually rocky and disappointing downhill ride. PRO's: Easy installation. Extremely long battery life. Bluetooth stayed paired without interruption. Response time between keyboard and iPad was unnoticeable. The keyboard has a really good touch and feel (similar to my Mac keyboard making it very comfortable to switch between devices). CON's: The hinge was extremely stiff to open or close. It didn't get smoother or more compliant with use or over time. Worse still, the grip between the keyboard and the iPad cover is very unreliable regardless of how well seated or how much pressure is used to stick them together. These two design flaws are so significant that they fully negate any redeemable aspects of the folio. Bottomline Evaluation: In normal use, the two components of the folio cannot be enticed, compelled, or forced to stay together. Even under significantly favorable conditions, they manage to slip apart. For months, I have tried to make the best of the folio by utilizing other objects to help prop and protect the iPad while in use. In one memorable (and embarrassing) meeting, the Chief Technology Officer of an important client shared his disbelief this was a Zagg product. Now, even the warranty/guarantee has proven to be more difficult to utilize than the entire experience has been worth. I give up. I sincerely wish I hadn't persisted in my efforts to "make it work". I now have a damaged iPad, broken screen, and significant trust issues with Zagg to show for my devotion.

This keyboard was exactly what I had been looking for. It was lightweight and worked well for about 6 months. After that, the keys started to fall off the keyboard. I still use it at times but have to constantly look for a few of the keys that consistently fall off so I can snap them back on the keyboard.

I purchased one of these keyboard cases, and I was very disappointed at first. My iPad fit into it fine, but the iPad piece didn't fit into the keyboard piece nicely. After reading several reviews, I found that some of them didn't fit right. I took the first one back to Best Buy, and swapped it for another one. That one fit without issue! No forcing no wiggling around. When it fits, it fits. So if you get one that doesn't fit, go back and swap it out. I love the 3 positions/modes. Typing mode, video mode, and book mode. I use it in video mode with my coloring apps and love it! The keyboard is a very natural feel, although a little smaller (to be expected) than a regular keyboard. No issues with key placements at all. I would have given this 5 stars if I hadn't needed to take the first one back and exchange it.

I loved the one-piece design and I loved the feel of the keys. I loved the feel of the keys but 3 months after I purchased it, the magnets that hold the Ipad in the case started coming loose and then the actual case where the iPad fits into cracked and broke. Now it will not hold up the iPad. For the cost of this case, I am severly disappointed and there is nothing I can do about it. It has been too long to return it. God knows I wish I could!

Buyers Beware!!! This is not for an iPad 9.7 Pro!

    Posted .

I purchased this Slim Book back in October after waiting months for it to be available. First, it was being advertised on their website a couple of months prior to it being actually available (See questions at the top of the page). While it was advertised (but not available for purchase) it went on sale multiple times. How can it go on sale multiple times but not even be available for purchase??! Once I was finally able to order the product (and I even managed to catch it on sale), I received my Slim Book. I noticed that I was having issues with it not fully closing together but thought perhaps it was because I had the glass screen protector on my iPad 9.7 Pro and the screen was thick. I called Zagg to see if they had any other complaints of it not closing fully but they did not have any. However, they were awesome and offered to send me a thinner screen at no cost. Perfect! Once it arrived I put it on the screen and it made it better but still wouldn't fully close. After debating for quite some time, I decided to get in contact with Zagg. I remembered the box that my Zagg keyboard came in had a sticker that said the keyboard for "9.7" iPad Pro and iPad Air 2" that was placed over the label that showed the keyboard was for only for a iPad Air 2. (See attached picture) While speaking with the Zagg representative, I was informed that there are different Slim Books for the 9.7 Pro and the Air 2. The model number for the Air 2 is ID6ZF2-BB0. The model number for the iPad 9.7 us ID8ZF2-BB0. Alas, I finally found that I received the incorrect Slim Book from Best Buy. Even though Best Buy has advertised the correct model number online, I did NOT receive the right one. Luckily for me, ZAGG is going to rectify this for me rather than having to deal with Best Buy. In summary, I am extremely disappointed in Best Buy and will not be purchasing anything from them in the future. I thought my issue were with Zagg when it was actually Best Buy. The Zagg keyboard is nice but like I said before, I was having issues with it closing and actually coming off the hinges. I'm hoping my new keyboard (and correct one) will fix the issues I am having.

I was specifically looking for a solid case that included a keyboard, wasn't too bulky, but also provided protection...I read the reviews and ultimately went with this case. It was a great decision and the case has proven to be perfect for my needs! I use it both as a "reader" case without the keyboard and also as a modified computer when in meetings. Several of my co-workers now own this case after seeing how useful it is. I can now travel with just my iPad rather than always feeling the need to take my laptop!

This keyboard was my first choice after getting my IPad Pro for Christmas. I would give it 5 stars only it were reliable. The first one I purchased had the plastic break around the volume area. I was so impressed by the concept and design that I returned and bought another. The second had an issue with the hindge that would not allow the iPad to connect in place. I returned again and so far so good. Other reviews are consistent with my experience.

It may fit the iPad but it does not actually go with the iPad Pro 9.7 inch. The stereo speakers get covered up by the cover because it is not designed for it. Outside of that, the whole design of this case looks great but it not great at all. You can't set a good angle before it bends too far and 'breaks away,' gets very annoying. Keyboard worked alright but there are better cases out there to purchase and ones that are actually designed for the iPad Pro 9.7 inch.

The keyboard was terrific. I liked the weight of the unit and the slim feel, but the hinge to attachéd the keyboard to the ipad is very hard to put in place and grip. I switched it out for the magnetic grip unit.

Really liked the keyboard better than the Logitech, but I never felt comfortable with the part that held the iPad. If you overextended it, it would pop off; if you set it down on the non-hinge side, it could pop out. Too bad, really preferred their keyboard.

After less than 2 months, of opening and closing, the plastic holder that turns the tablet folded and broke(!). I understood that there'd be resistance and it would eventually break after wear and tear. But this happened way too soon. That resistance was actually the plastic (not metal, after all) holder being stuck and after forcefully turning, it broke. The magnet still holds the case together. I now use it as a cover. The keyboard and its capabilities still function. But as I type this, I type using tkeyboard and the case is placed on a stand. I'd recommend it simply because of how easy it is to connect, its indicators that are noticeable-- green for on, red for off or charging, and blue for Bluetooth connection. My mistake was buying it at full price.
