Great companion to DSLR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compact, light weight, and width audio quality that exceeds any of my current DSLR inputs. I use this with my Panasonic G7 and my Nikon D7200 by plugging an external mic into the input or by using the built in mic on the H1n. Syncing in post is straight forward. Also great for recording ambient sounds. In my mind this is a must have for any videographer.

Good but with Frustration

Audio recording was ok but felt a lot of problems with this purchase: (1) it does not come with SD card, so you need spend money to buy one SD card; (2) it does not come with data cable, so you need buy another data cable; (3) the instruction and manual is not clear and a lot of errors or misrepresentation, for example, the driver does not work; the bundled free software does not work (6.2gb space). Called Zoom people, and they told me that the device does not need 'driver" in order to transfer the files...but what I followed on the manual did not work... I do not know why they did not provide SD card and cable, without those, basically you can't use it. They designed have SD port, cable port and earphone port, but none of those come with the device...the point is, when you open it, then you found you can't use it until you drive to store to buy other parts...it is a defect product.
