Great sound from small package. No sound bar to interfere with TV because TV sits on top of it. Even my wife is convinced that this was a great idea! Great sound & great value! I didn't have to break the bank!

I used to have a Bose system with a seperate bass module and it was great. This system reminds me of that sound, but in a more convenient package. As with any speaker, give them time to break in. For me, 8 hours of The Concert For The Rock'N Roll HOF cranked scratched that itch. The bass level is perfect. Voices stand out from background noise. It is perfect!

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my 78 year old dad. He had started using closed-captioning because he could no longer hear dialogue clearly. After hooking up the ZVOX 450 Soundbase, he can hear dialogue clearly and no longer needs closed-captioning. He loves it! Best $200 I ever spent. Highly recommend!

being a senior was having a problem with hearing some of the dialogue. sounded muffled, and had to occasionally turn on the closed caption to understand what was going on. decided to get a sound bar but didn't want to block the tv. Read reviews about zvox 450 sound base. purchased, and couldn't be happier with my decision.

This unit is perfect sitting under the 40" Samsung smart TV in my bedroom!! Great sound from this sound base....thanks to the Best Buy salesman that recommended it to me!!

Great soundbar. Best sound at the price with lots of clear volume and good bass in spite of not having a separate bass module. Easy to set up and sync remote controls. Blue tooth has good range to play music from your cell phone or tablet. All of this is true at the full retail price. Even better if you can catch it on sale as I did before Christmas.

Fits perfectly under TV and generates fantastic sound for the price.

Good audio especially for someone with hearing difficulties

This is my second ZVOX product. You will not find a better value out there for a soundbar/soundbase. Look at the other reviews. It's simply awesome.

Love this system. It does exactly what it should and my 50-inch tv sits on top of it.

This sound bar meets our needs perfectly. Provides clear sound for our flat screen television. We really like our Zvox!

I purchased for Accuvoice and it definitely helps understanding dialog. However, the overall sound is 'hollow' and even at other settings, base is weak.

Great value for the price. Sound for general viewing is excellent. I prefer without the AccuVoice as midrange is its sweet spot. Built-in Sub and sound-base construction were the big attraction. In a medium/large bedroom it's the perfect product - sits atop a dresser, so placing the TV on top is very convenient. Not a replacement for true home theatre, but excellent upgrade over TV speakers. Speech much more audible at lower volumes and much better overall sound. Sub was a bit boomy but adjusted down is just fine.

5 stars since I got it for dialogue. Senior with good hearing. My wife wants closed caption on, while I hate it. To test, we played the movie 27 dresses, with Katherine Heigel, on two TVs. Between the 20 and 30 minute mark, there is a nightclub scene. Background noise and subtle vocals. On our main TV, which has very good sound (60 inch Samsung rated above average sound by Consumer Reports). Placed on a stand, with rear facing speakers. Very difficult understanding the dialogue. We then went to the man cave/guest room, which has a 50 inch Samsung, with poor sound. On a stand, downward facing speakers. CR rated sound on this TV poor. Using the ZVOX accuvoice mode, we repeated the nightclub scene. Every word was crystal clear. I then played songs from my IPhone via Bluetooth. Easy connection. Bee Gees and Karen Carpenter. While it was a major improvement over the TV speakers, I would consider it average music from a speaker in this price range. Not sure if the music was better than from my 60 inch Samsung in the main room. Bottom line, I would buy it again and am recommending it to friends. My Uversse promo expires in 2 weeks, so I didn't program the remote to work the sound bar. I like the ZVOX remote. Easy to understand, works very well.

Just bought the Zvox 450 sound unheard. It is perfect. My hearing is challenged due to too many years of rock'n roll and spoiled by analog tube equipment. This bar is able to separate voice from background sound. Useful for sporting events. Ran a variety of races through it and was really impressed with sound separation. Everything was there and clear. Use something else for music, though, as this sounds too harsh. Never liked digital music production.
