This unit has big buttons that light up are easy to find/use in the dark, It lights up once you press a key. The Home/Away icons get mixed up at first till you learn their locations. This new pad has a sticker that lists what they are, my old pad from 14 months ago did not have this, so it seems I'm not the only one. It has a speaker that advised when the modes change and sounds off with the loud alarm on the main box. I charged the battery on my first pad and it lasted just over a year. I bought this to keep in my bedroom for convenience.

Ring alarm is a great value. Keypads are East to install. Battery life is impressive and easy to recharge.

Long lasting battery and works well with the alarm system. I have not had to charge it yet
