The outside of the mailbox comes off causing the bridge to not work. Lots of upkeep for sure. Also, have lost the ability to know when it is opened and mail placed in the box by the postman/woman.

Nice quality motion detectors

The are designed for extreme weather & are easy to setup and tie into my existing RING system. You can set it up so when it activates, you can have it notify any or all of your other RING devices to notify you and turn on the other cameras and floodlights. Good buy for my needs.

I asked the person who popped up on you website if I needed the bridge for this item and they said no. As it turned out I did need the bridge to make this work. So please make sure your employees know this. So the sensor has been installed and is work we’ll.

It is great to be notified when our mail has been delivered since we do not receive very much snail mail these days.

We first tried to use a regular Ring motion sensor for this purpose, but the addition of the built-in antenna is what this device needed. Works like a charm and super easy to install.

Especially with a mailbox that is 20 yards away and not with in sight from the house. That distance made it a little tricky to connect to the Ring Bridge. I had to connect while the 2 devices were close together, then install in the mailbox. That distance also drains the batteries quicker it seems. But still worth it.

- A:Answer Yes, that’s exactly what I did. I wasn’t comfortable with it on the door. I mounted it on the very back. It’s basically hidden and fully protected from the weather as it would be exposed to the weather upon opening the door. It works perfectly and activates every time upon opening the door. It senses the motion of the door opening.

- A:Answer It comes with a small paddle antenna that helps with distance. I’ve used one with no antenna for 20-25ft. With the it will probably get double that as the antenna connects with a cable and is mounted outside and facing towards your access points.

Q: QuestionI already have the doorbell as well as a flood light motion sensor. It says that I need a ring bridge base station to use this, can I not just add it as an additional device with my subscription?
