In my opinion AC/DC died when Bon Scott OD'ed. Sad, sad day for AC/DC lovers and even though they still Rock sadly it's never going to be the same without Bon. The song writing is just not the same as Livewire, Whole Lotta' Rosie (had to be written by someone who lived the lyrics, 42-39-56 you can say she got it all!!!), High Voltage, Highway to Hell, etc.... etc.... and I believe that a lot of his song writing style was still evident on the Back in Black album. I got to see them live three times is 1977 in about a 6 week period and it was some of the greatest live rock I ever witnessed (Angus' shorts popped open at the Salem VA show and he just safety pinned them back together and kept on rockin'.) Bon is gone and he won't be coming back, that said they still rock just not with the same brilliant song writing style as before. I support artists that I like by buying their albums. And I still support AC/DC and I always will even though their music has changed they still Rock N' Roll, for Bon's memory I hope they always will.

AC/DC probably will not reach the heights of Razors Edge again in terms of studio albums but that being said this release and it's predecessor Black Ice are solid catalog albums with some nice standout tracks. The first half of this album particularly is fantastic. Had this one in the car and introduced my son to AC/DC and for that alone this gets 5 stars. If I were rating without sentimental goggles? Probably 4 stars as I miss the adrenaline rockers ala Thunderstruck - but again this is a solid album - and with solid procution... they had a couple of albums (Ballbreaker and Stiff Upper Lip) that when I listen back they sound so dry that they kinda seem dated (probably the opposite of what they intended) this isn't 80s production but isn't overcompensating either.

AC/DC’s first album without their founding member is a crisp Brendan O’Brien-produced musical wrecking ball. A few of the rear tracks can’t turn over the ignition on their hooks, and typically, the Pearl Jam and Rage Against The Machine producer has taken a bit too much dirt out from under their fingernails and over-compressed everything so even the mellower cuts stab at your ears like a tattoo machine. But these are minor sins in what must be one of the best records you’ve already heard to be released this year. ‘Dogs Of War’ and the title track are vintage-era good. ‘Play Ball’ is an anthem that feels like it’s slightly cynically been written for that exact purpose – it’s already been picked up by US sports networks to fill in the foam-finger moments at baseball games.

Sadly, this album feels and sounds like leftover tracks from Black Ice (that's not a good thing). It is by far the weakest effort the band has ever released. You don't have to go back far in the catalog to find even the most mediocre songs on an album surpass the singles on this. There wasn't a track on Ballbreaker, for instance, which doesn't blow every song on Rock or Bust to pieces. The album is filled with uninspired guitar work in lieu of signature heavy catchy riffs and bland repetitive vocals with enough reverb to further diminish any punch from the sound. It's a sad sad day for AC/DC fans...who are probably one of the easiest groups to please. Airbourne sounds more AC/DC than the band that recorded these fizzling tracks.

If you're a fan of AC/DC, you'll enjoy this album. It's nothing new but it's clear AC/DC still are the rockers we love them to be. The album is relatively short clocking in at under 40 minutes; however, each track is solid. I can't say every track is a major hit but I gladly listen to the album with no skips. I have two favorites from this album and enjoy listening to some new AC/DC in the car. Glad the boys worked out the issues with their band mates and pulled this album together. Thank you AC/DC!

A great album overall with some instant classics but a few busts. AC/DC scores big with the title track Rock or Bust. Other top tracks are Rock the House, Sweet Candy and Play Ball. There are some more lame songs like Rock the Blues Away which lacks any blues and makes you hit the next track button right away. Fortunately there aren't a lot of songs like this on the album. The album finishes with an over the top slow and heavy classic Emission Control which is arguably as good as anything on Back in Black or For Those About to Rock! In you like AC/DC buy this album. You won't be disappointed.

HDMI Cable: Does Not Fit Nexus 7

I bought this HDMI cable because the product description on BestBuy.com clearly stated that it fits the Nexus 7 tablet. It does not. I tried to return the cable at my local Best Buy store and was told the store would not accept it because it had been sold by a third-party vendor via bestbuy.com. I checked the package in which the cable was shipped, and it contained no instructions governing product 'returns.' So I still have to figure out how to handle the return -- a lot of trouble for an $11 item that does not do what it was purported to do. All in all, not a good buying experience.

As a longtime AC/DC fan I was nervous about this new album. I was not a big fan of Black Ice and worried that another album would end their career on a bad note. Black Ice had 4 or 5 good (not great) songs and a bunch of filler. Rock or Bust is miles better! It's full of great riffs and lots of the "boogie" that we've come to love from Angus and friends. Malcolm is missed but his cousin actually does a solid job in his place. AC/DC fans should already have this but if don't, then buy it now.
