Rocketfish™ - 7-Outlet/2-USB Surge Protector with 8' 4K UltraHD, In-Wall Certified HDMI Cable - Black

Initially I was unsure of whether this was a good purchase or not. I now know to look at it as a sort of built-in protection plan for my T.V. & Surround Sound System as well as my Xbox One. Which are all of the products that I have powered through this Rocketfish 6-Plug Surge Protector. Had a severe storm the other day that caused the electricity to flicker from time-to-time. Everything except the 3 items listed above, flickered along with the house. My T.V. and Xbox One, I feel, were protected fully in case the power surged from the storm and could have potentially caused damage. Also I should mention that the HDMI Cable that came in the package was well worth it as well. It just looks like a piece of great technology and sturdy as heck!

This is a great power strip. Good quality. I bought to mount under my stand up desk and allow me to only have one power cord coming off the desk for all the stuff needing power on the desk. This also allows some extra USB charging ports also without needing to take up and additional power plug. The ONE negative is that the outlets are oriented in a way that makes it difficult to put the power bricks into it. If they were turned 90 degrees things would fit better. I had to add one of the 1' cord adapters to be able to plug that in. I bought this knowing that I wouldn't use the HDMI cable but the price was right at the time. The HDMI cable seems like a good quality cable.

so i bought 2 of these outlets and the 4k hdmi which was just a bonus, but so far the work great, even the 4k hdmi cables (2 ps4 pros and using their standard hdmi that came with it the screen would black out for a couple seconds which is annoying when gaming but these ones fixed that isssue). the only bad thing and i don't know why outlet manufactures don't do this is there's not enough space between the plugs to use every plug as most electronics dont come with the small plug and have weird sizes. the pics are whats plugged into this ver. of outlet (the 2 nintendo ones in pic wont fit next to each other) and the far more expensive one

This product is excellent to protect my TV and sound bar.

After using this product for a while I can tell you there are some usability issues. First of all: yes, it looks like a good quality product. It still works. Kudos to Rocketfish. But, I am not sure how the product designers placed the plugs too close. (See attached photo). Yes there are plugs of many shapes and sizes, and yes I understand you should not overload the plugs in the first place to create fire hazards, but not having the ability to load two slim plugs next to each other... (Rocketfish can contact me if they need a product tester before the products get mass produced.)

No problems with the hdmi cable, but the outlet source is very poor quality material i connect a little fan heater and the contact plastic melt around the pins , still working but expect more for the price.

First off, after researching 4k tvs, I've come to the conclusion that there are few differences between the 4k HDMI cables and the regular old HDMI cables that seem to be multiplying in my supply stash. Several experts say to just use your current cables, if you've purchased them in the last year or so. However, being a "better safe than sorry" guy, I went ahead and purchased this combo the same time I purchased my TV. If you are like me and you're spending a rather large sum of money (for me at least) on a quality tv, might as well spend another $40 on a good surge protector and cable. At regular price $79.00 I would have gone a different route, but I've owned several Insignia and Rocketfish items (Best Buy's private labels) and I've always been happy. Picture looks great and I feel better with a new surge protector protecting my investment. It's also a nice bonus being able to plug in usb items.

I was looking for a 7 outlet power strip with USB direct options. I definitely recommend but I am not sure I would have purchased had it not been on-sale - as I didn’t really need the HDMI cable. Pluses 5 foot cord and is wall mountable Has on/off switch and 2 little blue lights indicating “protected” and “grounded”. One AC outlet at the very end of the strip is set apart from the others in case you have a really large "brick". The 2 USB connections are at the other end and easily accessed and worked great on our IPhone and Samsung smartphones allowing us to get rid of 2 "bricks". 8 ft. HDMI cable is pretty sturdy and worked great connecting 4K blu-ray to 4K TV. 1-year warranty with $200,000 lifetime equipment warranty Minuses The plug into the wall is flat but cord to power strip comes out at a 45% angle so if not using on the bottom wall outlet it can kind of block access to other wall plug-in. Blue indicator lights can be a tad bright at night if used in an area where it can be seen. Currently using behind couch so not an issue.
