Not too impressed by this Bluetooth Adapter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installing it on Windows 7 was relativity easy. However, it requires multiple drivers and some are only available on the net and are hard to find. I got this device to use Motorola Bluetooth Buds with my computer. It did not work so well. It takes too long to pair. The signal drops off and on and I can tell its the Bluetooth device because I can hear that disconnect sound and when it reconnects, the reconnection prompt shows up in the task bar. The $20 price tag seems a little high for what seems to be no more than a generic Bluetooth dongle. My advice - skip it.

Great networking, much faster than my old BT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using the adapter in my HP 385 photo printer. I used to have an older BT adapter, but lost it somewhere. Thank goodness! This new adapter transfers the data so the printer can work so much faster. The smaller form factor may mean that it can get lost more easily, but it also means that it is much more portable than the older BT adapter. In the image, it will store nicely in the space where the photo paper emerges, without the fear of it going inside the printer. All in all I highly recommend it!

Works just as intended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed Bluetooth support for a laptop that I just bought from Best Buy. Although it was a beautiful laptop with amazing specs, it was lacking Bluetooth so I picked up this Rocketfish Bluetooth Adapter. Let me just say first and foremost... I cannot stress this enough... DO NOT PLUG IN THE ADAPTER FIRST AND DO NOT INSTALL THE DRIVERS THAT ARE INCLUDED ON THE DISC THAT COMES WITH THE ADAPTER, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE USING A 64-BIT VERSION OF WINDOWS 7! The drivers on it are pretty outdated and you can get the full package with up to date drivers from the Rocketfish site rocketfishproducts dot com. The drivers also include absolutely everything you need to enjoy the latest Bluetooth technology it has to offer. Go to Service & Support then Drivers & Downloads and finally enter RF-MRBTAD into the search box which will take you to the drivers for this adapter which will work with ALL versions of Windows. Once I got it installed and set up on my laptop, I connected my iPhone 4S to it and it paired successfully on my 64-bit Windows 7! It streamed audio being played from the phone to the adapter via AirPlay and can even control my music using stop, play, skip, previous, repeat, etc from the laptop itself using media player buttons! Next I tested a PS3 controller and it also paired successfully! I can play games using the controller with no problems! It's a bit of work to get it up and running at first due to the outdated CD included but in the end it's worth it to have the adapter fully working as it's supposed to. I've included two pictures to this review to show that it indeed works as intended. Hopefully this review helps you out!

Does what it should
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great solution for those of us that do not like wires between us and our devices. I purchased two of them, one for my desktop and one for my laptop. I followed the instructions for use with my desktop and it did not work. I went to the Rocketfish website for help. I found an updated driver at Broadcom. Once the updated driver was installed, the installation went easily. I repeated the process with my laptop and downloaded the driver right away and it worked. I like the fact that I can listen to music from my desktop or laptop and not have wires interfering with me. I can work on my desktop or laptop, listen to music, get up, go do laundry, etc. and the music goes with me! Installation would have been easier had the instructions included directions and a website location to install the latest drivers. The setup complexity is the only reason I did not give the device 5 stars

Good Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purcased this product with the hopes of replacing the bluetooth adapter for my Logitech MX Anywhere Mouse, it stoped working after a few months of use. This product does not work for this particular Logitech mouse, so it never worked for what I intended to use it for, I have since purchased a new bluetooth adapter directly from Logitech and resolved my issue. However I now use the Rocketfish Bluetooth adapter on my Sony TV's usb port to play picture slideshow's and video's instantly and it works great! I also use it to send these same file types from my mobile phone to my laptop. It is very easy to do and super fast! I am overall satisfied with this product

Easy install, but be warned.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this adapter to use a bluetooth speaker with my PC. The install was simple and straightforward. After that I was able to connect both my phone, and the speaker with no problems. Unfortunately thats when things got tough. To be able to use the external speaker I had to find how to change the default device. That was buried under 3 different sub-tabs. And searching in windows help was frankly no help. And if you're thinking about using this to transfer files to you're phone using bluetooth forget it. If you've got a cable to connect your phone you're better off doing that. Transfer times are unbearable. Range of wireless signal is decent I can set up the speaker about 25 feet from my pc, and partially blocked by a wall and still get the signal to go through no problem. I guess it simply comes down to what you plan on using the device for.

Simple to install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my second Bluetooth adapter. The first one would not install. This one installed promptly and worked immediately. Very small form factor, so I can travel with it in the USP port.

Q: Questionis there any unit compatible with a Macintosh computer?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Actually, this adapter works just fine with a Mac...I grabbed one to help my Dad connect a Creative D200 Bluetooth Speaker he bought without even looking at the package for OS compatibility. Once we got it to his place, I was dismayed to find it didn't list Mac as an OS. However, I popped it in anyway and it came right up and installed itself and paired with his speaker just fine. This was on a 24 inch iMac with OSX.

Q: QuestionI have not be able to pair a plantronics explorer 395 bluetooth headsetI am using Window 7 Home 64 bit with RF-MRBTAD. The headset shows as a device but will not connect.

- A:Answer I think your problem is in your RocketFish Micro Bluetooth Adaptor. I returned mine. It see's devices but can't connect to any of them. After I returned mine I bought two Azio Micro Bluetooth Adaptors plus shipping for $21.43. Both work perfectly with all my bluetooth devices. Just like they should.

Q: Questionattach device to non-blutooth radioi have a dewalt worksite radio with usb plug. No I don't think the radio is Bluetooth enabled hence I wouldn't need this product. would this be a simple plug the adapter in and then use my itouch to play music through the dewalt speakers?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, that still would not work. Your DeWalt radio would still have to be a Bluetooth-enabled device for the audio to come from your iTouch and through your DeWalt radio.

Q: QuestionRocketfish Bluetooth Micro Adapter RF-MRBTAD not working with Windows 8I see for another question rocketfish staff responded saying this adapter is compatible with Windows 8. But it is not. The USB Adapter pack says its compatible with Windows 7 and best buy store person told me they would have usually come with updated driver for Windows 8. But I am not able to find updated driver for Windows 8. Also, the CD that comes with this adapter out of the box doesn't support Windows 8. It needs a driver update. Can some rocketfish staff provide proper answer after doing some checking instead of providing vague answer without doing any research?
Asked by nbr953.
- A:Answer I experienced this same issue, but I found a solution! WINDOWS 8: 1. Plug the adapter into your USB port 2. Go to http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php 3. Click the "Download Now" button 4. Follow the instructions to download the driver updates 5, Go to the "search" function on your right-hand-side Windows 8 Menu, choose the settings tab to search your settings, type in "Add Bluetooth Device" and click on the matching search result 6. Any compatible Bluetooth device on 'Pairing Mode' will now be discoverable 7. Enjoy

Q: QuestionBluetooth sees Logitech device but does not connectI bought an Acer One and had to get a Rocketfish Micro for bluetooth, it can see the logitech bluetooth adapter (for my speakers) but can't connect. The logitech doesn't have any driver on the web so there is nothing to install. I can connect with other devices like my Ipad and phone so definitely a laptop/rocketfish problem. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer If the computer has a built in bluetooth adapter you shouldn't need the Rocketfish. If you still need the Rocketfish adapter you will need to disable and uninstall any existing software. Try uninstalling the RF-MRBTAD adapter and drivers. After rebooting the computer and reinsert the adapter letting the computer to pick drivers to install for it. The you will need to save the Broadcom software (http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php) to your computer and install it which will give additional functionality over the built-in software.

Q: Questionlost connection periodicallyI have 3 rocketfish Bluetooth keyboards and 3 Bluetooth mouse connected to a Win 7 Pro machines. Sometimes it works fine, but other times I cannot wakeup the machine with any of the Bluetooth devices. I have to unplug/plug the adapter to make them connect again. I have installed the driver from boardcom and there is no built in Bluetooth adapter. I have turned off the sleep/hipernate mode but the connection is still not permanent. Thank you for the advice.
Asked by Nelson.
- A:Answer After doing some research, this is a either a Windows issue or an issue with your particular computer. There seem to be a variety of reasons that this happens. You may be unable to use Bluetooth devices to resume operation from certain power management states (such as "suspend" or "hibernate"). In some low-power states, the wireless receiver may be unable to receive information from the Bluetooth devices. To resolve this issue , follow these steps: Open the Keyboard control panel item. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Properties. Click the Change Settings button Note This step requires Administrator access Click the Power Management tab, and then verify that the Allow this device to wake the computer is enabled. Click OK, and then click OK again. Note If your computer does not support Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), the earlier steps may not be available. In this case, you have press the power button to wake the computer. If you cannot resume computer operation by using any of these methods, you may have experienced a system problem.
