Q: Not sure if this soundbar has Roku built in but does this work with a Roku TV?
A: Yes, will work with roku tv with HDMI. You can use it as a soundbar with the tv interface, or if your TV is older use the soundbar as the roku interface.
Q: Will the sound bar work when I watch regular tv?
A: Yes, you can. If your TV supports ARC on HDMI, you can use one HDMI cable for both video and audio. But if it doesn't, no problem, setup using HDMI to get video from the soundbar, and connect optical from your TV to the soundbar. Hope that helps.
Q: does the sound bar support ear phones/ of any type?
A: Not sure about any type of headphones, but for certain that blue tooth headphones will work.
Q: Will the remote turn my TV on/off and control volume?
A: The roku remote included with the bar controls my 3 year old samsung 8000 power on/off and the bar's volume control like a champ. Where previously I used the samsung remote for power, yamaha remote for their sound bar and roku stick remote for channels, that non-sense is now handled by one roku remote. The sound bar comes with optical and hdmi/arc cables for which i used the arc tv input, can't say if optical would work the same for volume control. gl
A: Yes, absolutely. I hooked my Roku sound bar up to a Samsung tv and I can control my tv volume and power the tv on and off with my Roku remote.
Q: Does this eliminate the need for a receiver?
A: It is a powered sound bar so yes. There is no need for a receiver. Additionally, you have to option to add powered rear speakers and a powered sub-woofer using a wireless connection.
Q: Does this support 4K streaming?
A: Yes, it does. Provided you have a 4K TV and fast internet speed. For example, Netflix suggests a speed of 25mbps for a smooth 4K streaming experience. If your internet speed isn't fast enough, the video stream is usually downscaled to 1080p or 720p.
A: I paired the sound bar remote to the TV. Go to settings, devices and select pair new device. Just follow the steps and it does it all for you.
