Would recommend
||Posted .I bought this cuz I no longer have cable, I went with reviews. I looked it up on Amazon, everyone loved it. So I bought it, from Best Buy.... Love it, happy I got it. Sooooooo many channels, I can add what I want. Price was good to. For someone like me who don't know how to hook this up, or was super easy. The Ruko actually walks us through it, highly recommend. Ya'll can add channels at ya'll want to, or delete channels as ya'll want to

You want THIS Roku if you have a 4K TV...
||Posted .This was on sale for $24.99 ($15 off), and the reviews were pretty good, so I went for it. I have to say that it's every bit as good as the overpriced Apple TV ($150 or more). It's snappy, very responsive remote / app, and awesome picture on my 50" Q60A Samsung 4K TV. I only wish it could be programmed to run my JBL sound bar when you hit the volume key on the side of the remote. I tried. It won't work. Other than that, it's a solid purchase at that price. Very happy...

Thumbs UP way UP
||Posted .Owned for 5 months when reviewed.Thumbs up for elimination for a Comcast Cable Box and the monthly rental fee ! Easy to set up and reliable once I was able to establish the correct positioning of the Roku box to establish a strong enough WiFi signal from my Xfinity home network. Also recommend spending the extrra $s for the Voice Remote feature. In my humble opinion, worth the extra $s

Q: QuestionI just bought a roku premier. Is this one better?
Asked by Chaz.
- A:Answer HI Chaz! Although the Premiere is an excellent choice, the newly released Roku Express 4K+ boasts dual-band Wi-Fi as well as an enhanced remote allowing you access to features such as voice search, power and volume control to your TV using your Roku Express 4K+ remote control.

Q: QuestionI'm looking at pricing and Wal Mart provides a fee for Streaming Device Setup - $79.00 to get expert help. Do I need someone to help me with set up or is it easy to do?
Asked by Wags.
- A:Answer It doesn't take much effort to set up a Roku (or a Fire TV player for that matter). The important thing it knowing your WiFi password to get it connected to your home network. Everything else required is explained in very simple steps. Just remember you need to create a Roku user account (free) before you try to set it up. You must link your new Roku to an existing user account during setup, and it isn't usable until you do. Go to https://www.roku.com/ to create your Roku user account. You do need to have a credit card to set up the account, but nothing is ever charged to it unless you purchase something using your Roku player. Caution: If anyone ever tries to tell you that you need to subscribe to a special Roku "premium" user account, or that you need to pay a fee to register your new Roku, you have contacted spammers and do not give them any information whatsoever. Don't even give them your name, or confirm anything they attempt to get from you. All they want to do is steal your money, and perhaps take over control of your Roku user account, which in turn would allow them to "break" your Roku and extort a fee to "fix" it.

Q: QuestionI have a Toshiba TV from 2003. I have been told that I should get Roku Express plus because it is for older TVs. Is this the same as Roku Express 4K+
Asked by Doc.
- A:Answer Hi, Doc! The Roku Express 4k+ is different from the Roku Express +. The Express + with composite connections was released in 2018 and has been discontinued. The Express 4k+ is one of the newest Roku® streaming players and can be connected to any TV with an HDMI® connection. If your Toshiba TV has an available HDMI connection you can use any of the Roku Streaming players with your TV. Q: QuestionDo I need to purchase an antenna for local channels?
Asked by Frankie.
- A:Answer Hi Frankie! Although an antenna is a perfect companion to a Roku player for picking up local channels in your area, there are plenty of ways to watch local content with your Roku player as well. Q: QuestionWould this be compatible with a tv that is not 4K?
Asked by Mel.
- A:Answer Hi, Mel! The Roku Express 4K+ is compatible with any tv that has an available HDMI connection. If you do not currently have a 4K TV the Roku Express 4K+ will still work on an HD TV and will output video at the HD TVs native resolution.

Q: QuestionHow does the Express 4K+ (2021) compare to the Ultra (2020)? I am intrigued by the "fast channel launch" of the Ultra. Does the Express 4K+ launch channels as fast as the Ultra?
Asked by Intrigued.
- A:Answer I have both players, but I've only had the Express 4K+ for a short while, and only used it when I traveled late last month. I can't give a definitive answer to compare the two, but the Express 4K+ (model 3940) certainly seems to be very close to the Ultra 4800 in performance. However, the 4800 and the 3940 have two completely different processing chips. The 4800 uses the ARM Cortex A55 and has 2 GB of operational memory, while the 3940 has a new Realtek 1315 processor and 1 GB of memory. I would probably still give the edge to the 4800, not only for the additional memory, but also for its Dolby Vision support. Roku doesn't offer any other player with DV support, although there are Roku TVs that support DV (Roku doesn't make the TVs themselves). Also don't forget that the 4800 has a wired network connection (also supports dual band WiFi), while the 3940 is WiFi only unless you purchase an additional USB-Ethernet adapter.

Q: QuestionQuestions about the Voice Remote with the Express 4K+ (2021): 1) Can the 5 buttons (Apple TV+, Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, and the Microphone for Voice) be reprogrammed? 2) Can IR and Wireless connections be used together? Reason: to control a soundbar
Asked by IsaG.
- A:Answer Hi, Ed! The buttons on the voice remote included with the Express 4K+ cannot be reprogrammed. However Roku offers the voice remote pro that has two personal shortcut buttons allowing you to program those buttons to Any voice command. The Roku Express 4K+ can recognize both wireless and IR remote signals.
