The comfortable non-solid (loosely filled) cushion conforms to my lap. The tray has more than enough room for my 14-inch laptop. The non-porous smooth surface safely holds my smaller tray of food (spills have easily cleaned off).

This lap tray is great for home or travel. I can eat or work on it without things sliding off the edge. It comes in handy for long road trips.
