This attachment turned out to be very useful not only to slice veggies but also to grate cheese. Easy to install and wash. I always hand wash and the blades are still very sharp after using it for few months. It is a little bulky, especially for storage.

the slicer/shredder works great especially for shredding cheese. the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is since it's not stainless steal, you have to dry the inserts immediately after washing or they rust.

My KitchenAid stand mixer really became a work horse after adding the rotor slicer/shredder attachment to it. I can create massive salads with ease. My only concerns that kept me from giving the attachment an excellent rating is that the shaft bushing scores the shaft and the blades and cones become dull relatively quickly and need replacement. I've already purchased another attachment due to the above issues.
