    Solid, but slightly disappointing disc

Saint Asonia put out a respectable rock CD for their debut, and there are a number of good hard-rocking tracks, including "Blow Me Wide Open" and "Happy Tragedy"; lighter tracks like "Trying to Catch up with the World" and "Leaving Minnesota" are good contrasting tracks. My reasoning for labeling this as slightly disappointing is that many of the songs are relatively generic and I honestly may have had too high of expectations for a debut from this supergroup. The lyrics especially are extremely bland in some songs, especially "Dying Slowly." I still look forward to these gentlemen refining their sound as time goes by and I would HIGHLY recommend seeing them perform live; as for this disc, expect a good, basic rock sound, but do not necessarily expect it to stand out distinctly from many others in the genre.

As a fan of all the previous bands from all the members of Saint Asonia, I figured I'd be a fan of this album. And I was not let down. Though I was never a huge fan of Three Days Grace, I thought their best album was Life Starts Now. And this album ranks up with that one. There are some songs that have a bit of an edge to them, more than Three Days Grace ever had. Think more early Staind. If you like Adam's voice you will like this album. There are a few slower songs too. I prefer the heavier stuff, but there wasn't a song I pressed skip on.

What an incredible voice, and now he has a a band that pushes him to another level. This is a must buy CD!!! It is a rare recording that you can plug it in and let it rip... Kinda like MTV Unplugged Alice in Chains or Unplugged Nirvana, Saint Asonia is an incredible band, and are only getting started, every track on this CD, from the very poetic acoustic material to the head banging crank it up tracks... Every single one is great.

These 4 guys kill it on this CD. All star line up provides great songs that are heavy and catchy. I wasn't aware that Corey Lowery was the bassist until I cracked the case. This made me like it even more. Lowery is a great bass player and Saint Asonia adds yet another superb album to his resume. Great buy and a must to any hard rock CD collection.

I was stoked when I found out this album was by the old lead singer of 3 days grace!! But I wad let down by the fact u feel it's a album gull of whiney lyrics by someone who just went thru a breakup. Not a very good album at all unless someone just left you and u need someone to help you feel your own pain. Don't buy!!

Hard to call this a debut with the members in the band but a first from them together and I really like this cd. Been curious what Adam Gontier was going to do. Have enjoyed his signing with 3 days grace so this doesn't disappoint if your a fan of his music. I look forward to seeing them with Seether in another month.

Great first album with strong rock attitude. Group has its own fresh, angry, driving sound that reminds me of the style of Alter Bridge, Creed, and Second Soul. I'll follow the rise of this group in heavy metal genre that is great to exercise to or trade sadness for a drive to get back up. Enjoy this CD.

I heard this band on the radio while driving in Columbus and felt compelled to stop and buy the CD and I'm REALLY glad I did. Most of the tracks blast, especially "Let Me Live My Life", the best song I've heard in YEARS, especially since it's from a new band. Buy this CD, you won't be disappointed.
