What a great deal!
|Posted .We saved over $1000 on this refrigerator! It was perfectly fine with a couple of minor dents that get covered with our usual fridge items, coupons, pictures, report cards etc. Works perfectly. The only difficulty came with myself doing the waterline installation, I inadvertently hooked it up to a hot water line due to the jury rigged plumbing in our 120 year old house. Ooops!

|Posted .Pros mentioned:Capacity, Design, FeaturesCons mentioned:ShelvingThis fridge is sharp looking. From day one I used the bottom right panel as an additional refrigerator instead of a freezer. It is very convenient. The counter depth size looks good in my kitchen but be warned, it’s limiting in cubic feet. The features such as cool select and the door alarm are good for our needs. Also I’ve used the power cool after the door has been opened for long stretches - groceries and cleaning. That’s a great feature. After only a month I had a spill that dripped in the glass shelving and had to call Samsung. One hour later on the phone learned one row of shelves could not come out. This is an issue for me, as I am used to constantly cleaning the fridge and shelves. Perhaps I’d have chosen another model had I known. I still think they can be removed but I don’t want to risk breaking the plastic clips. Will keep trying to call Samsung for help and maybe can get an answer. Overall a pretty product which fit nicely and in my space .lots of extras... that was a big reason to buy it. Also it’s taller than most so measure your space before buying.

Ice maker with known issues & no fix!
|Posted .Paid too much for this fridge! Only had it 6 months and the ice maker has frozen to a halt and not producing ice. Upon researching the matter, this issue has been known to Samsung for several years now with no fix! That’s unacceptable! Waiting for my first service visit and to be strung along like many other customers have been. Don’t buy it!!

The PROBLEM IS small seeds accumulate between a small opening at the bottom of the drawers. I have found it impossible to take the drawers apart to remove them and I broke the drawer today trying. Have your salesman show you how to do it and then try it yourself before you purchase.

- A:Answer This may have been the model from the previous year. Consumer Reports gave the model a not so stellar rating and Samsung went back and re-did the version for this year. It now has one of the best ratings that CR gives for this product.

- A:Answer If it has an anit-fingerprint coating as Mr. Samsung says, it has to be one of the worst. I have to constantly wipe my kids fingerprints off of it. That said, it is a very minor annoyance to me as I absolutely love almost everything else about it.

- A:Answer The ice cubes are actually small, not large at all. They are, however, crescent, or half-moon shaped. You can turn on the crushed ice mode if you want to crush them. Noting will make them pop out looking like a star or turtle, though.
