I have not had this very long, but so far I love it. The LED lighting is fantastic, and the interior space is working very well for my. I also like the space in the bottom freezer. The flex drawer is perfect for the way I want to use it, which is to keep beverages cold without taking up too much awkward space in the refrigerator. This is my first French door, and I love having the most often used items at eye level, rather than having to stoop down to find things as I did in my top freezer model. I had read enough reviews that complained about the ice maker not functioning properly, so I did decide to purchase the extended warranty to give me some peace of mind on that troublesome issue.

I picked this refrigerator because it was on sale and we thought it would be a nice upgrade from the current 2 french door style one we have. Well, we should have checked out the reviews. Apparently a lot of Samsung refrigerators have an issue with the ice-maker and we had the same issue posted by a lot of people who have Samsung refrigerators. The ice maker somehow leaks some water - we think its because the sensor doesnt know the ice tray is full and keeps pushing water into the unit and it leaks down the bottom and freezes in the tray. This also caused an issue with the cubed ice coming out as it would be crushed no matter what option you chose on the front panel. It freezes the ice-maker pullout solidly in and you cannot pull it out to see what the problem is without thawing the WHOLE fridge since the ice-maker is in the main fridge compartment. So we thawed it out (put a towel below the ice maker to catch dripping water) and was finally able to pull it out. After a week of troubleshooting it ourselves and researching on the web we decided to call bestbuy geeksquad and have them come out, the bestbuy geeksquad guy on the phone said oh we know about this issue having dealt with it a lot apparently he pre ordered the parts and they arrived in a few days. Our appt with the geeksquad repair tech was about 10 days from the date of our call so we just decided (after having it thawed out) to just turn the ice maker on for about 3 hours every other day to put some ice in for us to use. This worked since the bin couldnt get full and the sensor keep pumping water. I dont recommend doing it for more than 6 hours on as one time I forgot (next time I set a timer on my phone for 3 hours lol) and there was some ice build up on the bottom under the ice bin already. The geeksquad tech came and took about an hour to do all the work. He put some kind of sealant and replaced some of the parts with the new parts. This was about 2-3 weeks ago and so far the geeksquad repair has worked. Only time will tell if it ever reverts back to the ice maker faulty problems. Aside from this its a nice looking unit, led lights and bright and there are a lot of temp features to choose from for each compartment. The middle drawer is great for soft drink cans or bottles/beer/wine. I would also say the main compartment is kind of a weird design and doesnt have a lot of room for tall items IMO. I used to be able to put a large pot of chili, milk and some 2 liter soda bottles in my old french door style one without any issue, in this one I am having to move stuff around and adjusting things here and there to make things fit. So if the ice maker wasnt faulty would I still recommend this fridge, prob not. Having to move things around inside quite often to make room for taller items is a deal breaker for me. Ill make due since I own it now but Im not happy about it for sure. Oh well live and learn to read a lot of reviews on a specific model before you buy it. I included some pics of the ice that formed and I scraped out after our initial problem of it being frozen in place and this was when I left the ice maker on for 6 hours forgetting to turn it off again.

I love the fridge. Very spacious and while the shelving isn't the easiest to move around for tall items, it generally handles most things I throw at it. Note, I cook habitually from scratch. My biggest critique of the fridge would be from the install. The guys ripped off the protective shipping plastic and left little pieces of plastic trapped in the seams of the fridge. I find it extremely irritating that Best Buy promotes this type of workmanship. The pieces of plastic are almost impossible to get out due to their size. I spent a lot of money on the fridge and It looks kind of trashy when you get up close. When I questioned the guy about it he was like we have 20 more deliveries, I have to go. I really didn't want someone with this type of attitude touching the fridge any further. I should have complained right out of the gate to have Best Buy take care of this, as I'm still trying to get out the little plastic pieces trapped in the seams.

Customers are satisfied with the spaciousness, versatility, and design of the refrigerator. They appreciate the middle drawer and fingerprint-resistant feature. However, some customers have concerns about the ice maker not working properly, noise, limited space, warranty issues, and the refrigerator being expensive.
