Customers frequently mention the 24" Front Control Built-In Dishwasher's quiet operation and excellent cleaning performance as significant advantages. Many also appreciate its ease of use and the affordable price point. However, some customers have reported concerns about the dishwasher's longevity and long cycle times. A few also noted issues with occasional unpleasant odors and missing or mismatched parts.
I am very pleased with this dishwasher , my kitchen is attached to the family room , so having a quiet unit is of utmost importance to me. Dishes come nice and clean , and you abosutely can not even hear it running. It's easy to use & even let's you know when the dishes are done. I highly recommend it.

This dishwasher is fairly quiet and has the buttons and heating vent on the front of the door, as opposed to the top. (From other reviews and searches, apparently having the buttons at the top of the door is not good, as the steam from the heat vent ends up warping and damaging the buttons pretty quickly.) I like the stainless steel interior, which I'm hoping repels mold/mildew and stinky smells. Only gripe is that it does not tell you the actual amount of minutes left in the process, but it does show which phase you are in.

Our Bosch dishwasher of 12 years died a couple of months ago. I really like the brand but only a handful of repairmen service Bosch and the parts are hard to come by. So I did an EXTENSIVE research of dishwasher brands and reviews. I originally decided to go with Kitchenaid because they get such great reviews. They are more expensive but everyone says they make the best dishwasher, along side Bosch.....but I didn't want to deal with the repairman/parts issue. I considered the Maytag but the one in our price range got pretty bad reviews. Both of these brands are made in the USA which is important to us too. After plowing through more reviews than probably necessary I came to a conclusion. Most of the dishwashers in the $400-$800 have very similar complaints and number of stars so why spend an extra few hundred dollars when the reviews are so similar. We ordered this Sumsung dishwash because it was the lowest priced with the most stars. We got it on sale for @$429. Free delivery, we installed. Here's the clincher....we bought the extended 5 year parts and labor warranty for an extra $70. I am very comfortable with this added insurance. Now, about the dishwasher itself. It works great. It looks sleek and modern to go with our kitchen remodel. It is nice and quiet. And let this be on the record.....I have know idea why people dishes are not coming out dry! This was my biggest concern. My dishes have consistently been come out dry. If a cup is a little concave on the bottom then there might be a little water there, but boo hoo. That's a first world problem. If you use the sanitize mode they will come out very dry. I experimented, skeptically, with the regular modes and the dishes all come out dry so I'm not sure why others are having this problem. One thing to point out....we keep our water heater set at a very high temp. People with kids might not want to do this because of scalding issues, but we like to take a lot of bathes so we set it high to accommodate that need. Maybe this makes the water in the dishwasher super hot and precipitates the drying process. No pun intended. So far, so good. And we have our 5 year warranty just in case.
