- A:Answer You need an app called “Family Hub” downloaded to either your Apple or Samsung phone and this is where you can interact with the fridge and rest of the family. You will need a Samsung phone if you want to mirror the phone screen onto the fridge. I own this fridge model and an iPhone and it works perfectly. You don’t need a Samsung phone to enjoy the benefits of this beautiful fridge.

- A:Answer Yes, Samsung Smart appliances are Alexa "compatible" but really that just means that there is an Alexa skill that can connect through Samsung's SmartThings app. You cannot reach all of the features through Alexa. SmartThings also has the habit of discovering all of your other smart devices, even those that are already set up through their own apps connected to Alexa. So now those other devices are connected to two things that are connected to Alexa and like magic now you have two of EVERYTHING in Alexa.
