I recently purchased a gaming desktop HP Omen 900 with Intel i7 7700 4.20ghz CPU, 32GB Ram, 1gb SSD, and most importantly a Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. All sounds amazing on paper but there needs to be an equally matched of a monitor to display it in all of its glory. I did an extensive research on which monitor to buy. My budget was between $500-$1000 for the right one. I saw this thing in person on display and fell in love with the 1800R viewing angel and depth of color. Wide screens truly do make a difference if you either are a gamer or like to multitask with multiple windows open at once to see on the 21:9 real estate. Acer X34 and Asus PG348Q 34" with IPS panels and G-Sync where on my list but priced slightly above my marker. So I decided to pull the trigger and purchase this monitor instead and I am so happy doing so but really wish that there was a version with G-Sync. Who uses FreeSync anyways? the purpose of that technology is to provide the best refresh rate mostly for gaming and I can tell you the best cards are by Nvidia and there are no current AMD cards on the market that will provide you solid 100fps playback at 1440p with FreeSync. Pros: 21:9 Ultra-Wide 100hz at 3440 x 1440p Quantum Dot Display Sleek design with wire hideaway in stand 2 X HDMI 2.0 inputs (shows as HDMI 1.4 in settings on screen but you can change it via onscreen menu to HDMI 2.0) Very good quality built in speakers Easy navigation joystick for onscreen adjustment and settings Cons: NO G-Sync for Nvidia graphics cards (however playback at 100hz in "fastest" mode was acceptable) No HDR (Not common yet but this panel was introduced at CES 2017 alongside other soon to be released HDR 144hz G-Sync monitors) I am happy with my monitor as it is great for every day usage as it provides excellent viewing angels and burst in your face colors. It has a clean design that would look great on any minimalist design desktop. Who would I recommend this monitor to? Anyone with a MAC computer looking to have it as a second display as it provides FreeSync that matches your AMD cards. Anyone looking to step in the ultra-wide 1440p domain with preimum quality display and looking to do casual gaming and or graphics design work. Who would I not recommend this monitor to? Anyone with a high end Nvidia graphics card that has the budget to get a G-Sync monitor around $1200 which you would be better off with Acer X34 or Asus PG348Q. I will personally keep this monitor until Acer releases its new X27 HDR 144hz G-Sync Quantum Dot display next quarter.

I cant brag enough about this monitor. It truly looks and works better than anything I ever owned. You pay for it looking at the price for sure but it is worth it.
