Good Enough
||Posted .I purchased this sound bar for about two weeks from me writing this review. It looks good in front of my Samsung 60in 4K. Pairs well when using Anynet so I stored the cool little remote that comes with it but occasionally pull it out to see if I can get a better sound setting. The system has a decent bass for the price and watts so I'm not sure what the other reviewers are referring to. You can up the bass to +6 from the default setting of 0 try it and maybe you can update your reviews. I'm used to a 5.1 surround sound so I cannot give this a 5 star because you miss that with this Samsung 4 series. Overall I like it and mostly love not having all the wires.

Great sound but Netflix compatibility issues?
Posted .Our set up: Wall mounted Sharp Smart TV, (bracket bought elsewhere, for less$) Rocketfish hanging brackets, $39.99 Product design: Good looking, slim profile, not a bulky beast Sound quality: I am not an audiophile, but I think it sounds like our Bose Wave and I love that I can connect to my phone via Bluetooth and have amazing sound. In the store, it sounded as good as any twice the price. The lyrics in songs were very clear as were words in movies. Ease of installation: Installed by our contractor, but I think it was easily installed. Ease of setting up as part of a whole system: Hmmm, this is where it gets tricky. This is installed at our vacation house, which we rent out when not there. We have a 6 month old Sharp Smart TV and all our other systems work well with the Time Warner Cable universal remote...However, we have not been able to figure out how to set it up audio on Netflix movies to provide sound through the sound bar. At this point, when we watch Netflix, we have to turn off the sound bar, turn up the sound on the TV remote (which is only needed with Netflix). It will be seen how much of a pain this is. I wrote up detailed instructions for use on a laminated card for renters, but the sound bar should be more universally compatible. We will look into this further and call Samsung support the next time we are there, but we saw a LOT of posts on help forums with the same challenge so we are not alone and Samsung needs to fix or provide detailed instructions. Bottom line, LOVE this but really want Samsung to make it more simple. If we had a Samsung Smart TV and not a Sharp, I wonder if it would play more nicely....it is a brand new TV and awesome, not will not be replaced anytime soon.

Always a satisfaction when it comes to Samsung.
||Posted .Probably not the best product out there. But for the price, the quality, the look and the sound. I'll give it 5 starts. Definetly a great little investment. This is how it looks under a 60".

Q: QuestionThe subwoofer is wireless so it requires no cable connectors, correct? Does the sound bar require cable connectors? Will I need a HDMI cable?
Asked by RS.
- A:Answer No you don't need an HDMI. It comes with a fiber optic cable. Look behind your TV and you will see a small square connection. That's the fiber optics connection. And yes the subwoofer is wireless. It wirelessly connects to the sound bar. Instructions are easy.

Q: QuestionWhat is S Mute?I recently purchased this sound bar and a harmony remote to consolidate all the remotes I have in my living room. I have the sound bar connected to my TV and cable box via HDMI ARC. Everything is working OK except for when I turn the TV, Apple TV, and sound bar when everything is off. The TV ARC comes up on the front screen of the sound bar then it says S Mute, and I can not get the sound to work without switching the TV to HDMI 1 (which is my cable box) then back to HDM2 (Apple TV). Is there a way to prevent or not have the S Mute screen come up?
Asked by Joe.
- A:Answer Reset everything I just went through something similar where the sound bar showed TV ARC and then S Mute. We couldn’t get the sound bar to work at all anymore and after being on a support call for a couple of hours we were told the bar is defective. But it wasn’t! Long story short, on another call to Samsung we figured that some setting in the TV got corrupted. So they did a manufacturers reset on the TV and a reset on the soundbar with all the HDMI cables unplugged. (To reset the soundbar turn it off and press and hold mute button on the soundbar remote until it turns back on). Then We plugged in the soundbar first into the HDMI ARC input of the TV and it worked! Then we plugged in one device (like cable box) at a time into the TV and set it up and made sure the soundbar still works each time. We will never know why it got corrupted in the first place. But this worked. BTW the S Mute is supposed to mean the soundbar is not plugged into the right HDMI input but it was. That’s how we knew the TV was at fault. It didn’t recognize it.

Q: QuestionSamsung 400 Series (2.1 / 300 watt) v. Samsung 500 Series (2.1 / 320 watt)?I am debating between these two soundbars for my Samsung J6300 75" TV. Currently, there is a $100 price difference between the these two series models. When I read the reviews, some state that they do not notice a huge difference in sound between just the TV speakers verses using the 400 series soundbar. I do not come across these type of comments in regards to the 500 series though. So, can 20 watts make that big of a difference? And what else is different between these two series models to justify a $100 price difference? Thank you!

- A:Answer I debated between the same two sound pars, and I have a 3D samsung TV. A best buy guy helped me out and said there wasn't MUCH difference. I would definitely go with the cheaper one! It works absolutely wonderfuL!

Q: QuestionWhat is the best method by which to connect the soundbar?I understand the subwoofer connects wirelessly. I am trying to understand the best way to connect the soundbar and have read different things: (1) SoundConnect lets you connect it wirelessly to a Samsung TV. (I have the 75" J6300). Is this correct?; (2) Connect via HDMI; (3) Connect via an optic cable; or (4) Connect via HDMI ARC which as I understand cuts off the internal TV speakers so if I want both the internal speakers and the soundbar on I should not choose this method. Does connecting via HDMI and/or the optic cable leave on both the internal speakers and the soundbar? What is the overall best way to connect the soundbar? Thanks!
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer HDMI-ARC is the best option for surround and volume control. Optical is the second best option, and analog is third. You would want to turn off the TV speakers if you send the audio to a receiver. Otherwise some echo or delay can occur. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S

Q: QuestionCan I play music from an iPhone through this sound bar?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer There are two ways to do this. One being connected a 3.5 mm headphone jack to the iphone and the other end into the soundbar. Or link your iphone via bluetooth to the bar
