Great TV for bedroom
Posted .Great TV I've owned it for about 9 months, no hiccups. Sound: not an audiophile but sounds great good bass & range. Picture: Amazing for 720p but still not 1080 but you get what you pay for. Interface: it's good, a little slow at times. I like connecting my Hard Drive straight to my tv and not having to go thru my PS3/XBOX/BluRay. It reads most formats (AVI, MP4, etc), it doesn't read MKV though which isn't a very common format but can suck when your trying to watch some TV shows. These are preferences definitely nothing against the TV. Flaws: 1- not enough HDMI ports, only has 2 once you hook up your cable box your left with one. I'm a gamer.... So you can see my gripe when I have a PS3/ Xbox / & blu ray player. 2. The USB port is in the back which is great if you have the TV on a stand if its wall mounted like mine it's a pain to connect things to the TV including HDMI cables. I'm sure I could run the cables thru the wall but I don't want to make more holes in my wall. Summary: great TV especially for the price, I have this in my room, I would not have it in my living room though, plus too small.

Price, Picture, Sound = A+
Posted .I'm a gamer and love watching sports and I wanted a new TV for my "Man cave"/office. Recently researched and for what I could afford (about 500ish) I thought a 37 inch LCD with 1080p and 60hz was gonna be my best option. Went into Best Buy, talked with an employee and he really opened my eyes to Plasma. Showed me this model. It was an all around winner. Yes I sacrifice resolution (1080p vs 720p) but for my Xbox 360 it doesn't make much of a difference. I gained not only screen size (37 vs 43) but also Hz (refresh rate 600hz vs 60 or 120). It also had a really sleek, beautiful profile, something I didn't expect from a plasma. Took it home, could hardly fit it in my car, threw it together and turned it on. Very easy set up, great remote with very responsive controls. I was not only amazed by the picture quality and smooth motion but also was very impressed by the sound. Its not surround sound quality but it was rich and didn't have that "Tinny" cheap sound. Only major draw back at this point is the amount of inputs on the back. Yes 2 HDMI but only one regular input. Not a problem for me but might be an issue with someone running HD cable box, surround sound and a gaming console. Over all I can't be happier with my purchase as I ended up with more bang for my buck and great quality from a solid brand. So if you're into watching sports or gaming and you don't have an enormous budget like me, consider this model, you'll be glad you did.

Great TV
|Posted .This is the second one we bought. Bought this one for a 50th wedding anniversary present for my in laws. Great clarity and deep blacks. I use a sound system so the speakers don't matter that much but the in laws only use the TV speakers. They are better than some I have heard and they fit their needs but I like better sound. Plasma is so much better than the LCD or LED in this price range.

Goodbye LCD-Hello Plasma!
Posted .I got this TV yesterday to replace the 42" LED 1080/120 Westinghouse #which was a piece of junk# I returned just 5 days later. I originally bought the Westinghouse 'cause I thought I was getting a good deal for a 1080/120 LED. #Sale price $449-but got an open item for$337 w/ tax#. But boy, was I wrong-it sounded like an "old radio" even with a sound bar! I was a bit hesitant at first to buy a 720p TV but after doing some research and knowing the name SAMSUNG-I went for it. I couldn't be happier with our new purchase. The 600hz refresh rate makes up for it. I must admit, the picture clarity, isn't as sharp as I thought it would be in comparison to our old LG 1080/120 hz LCD & this is the only reason I gave it a 4. We have Roku hooked up to it and it works, looks and sounds amazing. It sounds great just by itself -no fancy external audio needed. Note that the picture/audio might not be to your liking right out of the box, but w/ a few tweaks, this TV looks and sounds great! I know it's only been 24 hours since we took ths baby home but I'm so sold on this new TV. Did I tell you that it has this "Plug and Play" feature that made setup a breeze?!

A Great Gamer's Tv
Posted .I was researching for days for a good TV for my PS3 and Xbox 360 Slim. After countless days of research of models, types, and brands I decided to give this new Samsung version a model. Not much reviews to go through as it just released but I decided to give this a shot as it's Samsung and there very reliable. The picture is very good using component, but with Hdmi, well, it's outstanding. My video games look better then they have in years. The TV is easy to use and has many sound and video options to meet everyone's needs. I use it in my semi-dark bedroom and it does the job perfect. I have no regrets with buying this TV. Also for the price you can't beat. :) So my final thoughts are... Yes, this TV is well worth your money and is perfect for any console gamer and frequent movie watcher. :)

I love this TV

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This was my very first big TV purchase that was halfway decent. I know I was given roughly "5 years" on plasma but it still works well today and is very responsive. Also, it can play any codec that I run through it, something many new TVs are unable to do. Until this years purchase of a new, high-end 4K UHD TV, this TV was still my preferred and favorite tv. This TV produce excellent blacks and all colors, 720 or not, were pretty crisp and spot on. Makes for a great gaming TV and bedroom TV at the moment.

Best Value for your Dollar!
Posted .I was hesitant about buying a plasma, heard about the possible image burn in, short life span. I did some research online and found out the plasmas have a better lifespan than I thought, comparable to LCD. I bought a LED a couple years back and I loved it, great picture...but it seemed a lil...cartoony? LED doesnt get as deep a black as a plasma. The plasma looks more natural. I now think the plasma slightly edges out the LED overall. If your buying a tv under 50 inches, 720p is all you need. Dont get hung up on that, my 720p plasma I think looks better than my 1080p LED. Plasma tends to run at 600mhz, so no blur when watching sports, which I love. I also couldnt believe how much cheaper the plasma is compared to the LED. Almost half the cost, depending on the model. I got the warranty just in case, but so far, Im a happy buyer. Samsung is rock solid, I would buy this tv again.

Q: QuestionCan i hook up an external hardrive directly to the tv and play the videos?I know I can do it through a blue ray player or other things, but I was wondering if it can be connected straight to the tv and play different video files.
Asked by dave.
- A:Answer The PN43E450 will offer ConnectShare Movie, which will allow the TV to play mp3s, jpegs and some video formats from a USB device. In order to access content from a USB device, first connect the device to the USB port on the TV. Then set the device to Mass Storage mode (if this mode is offered. Usually only found on MP3 players, cell phones or cameras). If the device is compatible with the TV, it should allow for media playback (not all devices will be compatible). The device in question must meet all of the following requirements: 1. It must offer a Mass Storage Mode 2. It must be formatted in a FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS file system 3. It must not contain any DRM content. DRM content is not supported by the Samsung TVs Please refer to your device’s manual for more information on connecting it to another device. -MrSamsung

Q: Questiondoes this model have a game mode setting for playing xbox
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer As a matter of fact, the PN43E450 will offer the Game Mode setting. Game Mode bypasses some of the TVs processors to give you an almost direct feed from your game system. This will help in the time it takes the signal to travel from the game system to the panel, effectively reducing the time between when you press your action button to when you see the action displayed on the screen, making for more accurate responses. -MrSamsung

Q: Questiondoes this samsung plasma tv have an anti-screen burn technology?i want to purchase this tv but i am nervous about buying a plasma because of screen burning/ ghost images
Asked by boomy.
- A:Answer Great question! There are two different kinds of active burn in protection features on the Samsung Plasma TVs. The first one is PixelShift (PixelShift can be adjusted on or off and allows for intensity level adjustments). This feature will basically move all your pixels, uniformly, a predetermined amount of pixel spaces in order to prevent a pixel from being lit in a specific pixel space for too long. However, if ghosting does occur, you can use the other anti-burn in feature, called Scrolling, to help refresh the screen. The Scrolling feature will "scroll" a gradient of black and white across the screen to help eliminate the ghosting, if any, that has accumulated on your panel. Both of these features can be found in the Picture Options section of the TV's menu. -MrSamsung
