This is low end?!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased to replace a 5 year old Vizio 4K set that was considered low end then. Was used for gaming at the time, later for TV. This Samsung actually feels like a smartish TV for once. Usually regular TV with apps to stream. This has a Samsung network of sorts. All I know is I turn on the TV, and Bob Ross comes on. Say what you want about technology, I get Bob Ross. Hooked up a speaker via HDMI and automatically turns on when the TV does. The remote for the TV controls everything actually, so cuts down the mess. I played the Last of Us 2 on a PS4 pro, and I.... Had a moment. Seems like our phones, TVs have hit a sweet spot with performance.

Great TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im a Samsung guy, from refrigerator to phones to display devices. My previous tv was a Samsung T4081F purchased in 2007, was 1080p and worked flawlessly. Had to upgrade for gaming and 4K movies for the family. Figured this tv got high reviews and was priced well for me. Setup was simple and the picture quality is great. Sound is fair but almost all tvs need a sound bar upgrade it seems. This is one reason the prices are lower on tvs. Setting up the TV was simple and took about 10 min to remove from box, install legs, hook up input devices, and power on. Reading other reviews were pretty spot on. Here's where I think this tv lacks. First off is the remote, not much going on here, small, frail looking, personally don't care for the layout. I tried using "SmartThings" app and it works but not very well. Using a S10+ and a S20 5G. Volume and direction pad work intermittently. Next is the glare from outside light sources. In my opinion, this is the worst part of the tv for myself. I had to draw all of the shades and turn off all of the lights for the picture to be at its best. Eye level viewing and straight on viewing cant hide the glare if its between a 80* to 280* give or take angle of view (yes I measured it) using direct viewing angle straight on as 180* point of reference. Light bulb sources we between 3' to 5' higher than top of tv and are soft light LED bulbs facing both upward and against the wall that can be switched both on or both off. Windows created light bounce off of walls and really drowns out the picture. My last tv was edge lit LED glass and could be viewed at almost any angle with all of the lights on or windows open. The menu layout is another issue for me. Yes its minor but I have to cycle through other apps and features just to get to system settings. The on-tv menu and power button is one button!! Why?! It is based on a tap or hold down. Heres a bit info thats not product related but gaming tips. If you plan on using a non-PS4 Pro or non-Xbox One X, your picture won't be clear in regards to motion. Your still menus will look great. For example, Modern Warfare - your menus look sharp, crisp, and vibrant. But looking at the lobby teams (animated soldiers walking) and in game play will look dull and fuzzy. No settings can be made to have it look sharp and clean. Using the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X will immediately solve that issue, with minimal adjustments to your tv or in game visual settings. Movies on stream, bluray, and 4k disc look great. I dont have any other tvs to compare to at this level or current decade. I do have 4 Samsung 4K monitors and it does come close. 43" tv vs 28"-34" monitors is a nice upgrade. PC gaming is still better on the monitors however. Hope this helps! Next stimulus check will go towards a different brand TV to compare to. Ill update if there's anything worth mentioning. Pictured is the remote from my 2007 tv, middle is a replacement I bought in 2015, and the series 8 is on the right. Placed on a 1" grid rack for sizing.

Great cheap upgrade from a 2014 Samsung SmartTV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First the price tag is unbeatable- $350 plus the warranty plan- worth it! I had to upgrade because Hamilton was going to stream on DisneyPlus and my current tv (2014 Samsung 40 in SmartTV cost $600 plus) was having so many problems including disconnecting from the Wifi modem 5 times per 4 hrs, or would freeze in picture and I would have to turn it off and turn it on. It was outside its warranty so overall it was time to say goodbye. This new TV cost half as much, is 3 inches larger (43 inch) and has DisneyPlus ready to stream. I’ve had this TV for 15 days and so far it’s been a wonderful upgrade. The only issue I have is the apps setup is not as user friendly as my old tv- so the settings are still a guess. Also the remote is awkward and can be easily lost because it’s much smaller. Overall- very pleased with this purchase and hopefully will learn more soon. Thanks Best Buy!!

Crystal TV review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall good quality TV with beautiful picture. I found the set up a little changing and getting the remote with work with the cable box (I3 Broadband) wasn't easy. The remote control doesn't have numbers on it which means you have to use the TV guide to select the channels Also getting the apps I want to work took some time. A little frustrating that you have to go online to get the user manual. I wall mounted the TV with an existing mount with no problem.

Nice TV, complicated set up.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV itself is great - fantastic sound and picture. Few complaints: 1 - the power cord is extremely short. My wall outlet is fairly close to the TV and I barely was able to plug it in. Would not reach the extra 3” to the surge protector on the floor so had to plug directly into wall. 2 - took me 4 trips to the hardware store to find the correct bolts/screws for the back of the TV where the mounting bracket screws in. The hole sizes on the back of the TV are not standard. They turned out to be M8 - 1.25x25mm. This should have been in the instruction manual somewhere. Very frustrating it was not. 3 - I consider myself tech savvy, but the TV set up was very confusing. First it wanted me to download some app, which then was even more confusing. After pressing a bunch of buttons on the remote I managed to bypass the app set up and set up the TV normally. No idea what buttons I even pushed.
