Great TV for the price (and, yes, it has HDR10)
|Posted .For the price we paid....$479...it's a great TV. The picture is crisp and clear and, if you look around the internet for proper settings, the picture won't be 'too dark'...even while in game mode. And the delay isn't horrible for gamers (I believe it's 22ms.) I can play CoD: WW2 just fine on it with an Xbox One S. This TV isn't listed as supporting HDR10, but it has it. I'm honestly not sure if you have to update the software first (as it took me a while to find out how to get everything correct) and by that time I had already done an update, but here are the steps to enable HDR10: Settings>General>External device manager>HDMI UHD Color and then turn it on for all the HDMI ports. This took a bit of searching for me to figure out so hopefully this will help someone shave some time. This TV isn't their top grade television so don't expect their most spectacular display. Having said that the display is beautiful and, while the HDR10 isn't as 'fleshed out' as on the upper end models, it does add a good bit of contrast to regular 4K viewing (and gaming.)

Samsung - 50" Class (49.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p TV
|Posted .We were replacing one exactly like this that we had purchased elswhere. Unfortunately it died and cost to repair was more than what we paid for this one. This time we bought an extended warranty and made sure that we bought it at Best Buy where they are able to look up our records and tell us if we bought it there and when.

Exactly the TV I wanted
|Posted .After spending much time shopping in store and online as well as reading reviews, I decided on the 50” Samsung 4K Ultra HD TV. Very easy setup and short learning curve. This is exactly the tv I was hoping to get in my quest to cut the cable. Outstanding value for the money!

You get what you pay for...
|Posted .After first buying a lower priced 4k HDR tv, I returned it and purchased the one I had seen that was double the price. Being an artist, I knew what the first purchase was missing...the levels of contrast (i.e., triple black) that produced a picture quality I had never witnessed on a tv before. Am I happy...you should see the smile on my face!

Excellent picture and interface
|Posted .I have always bought Samsung. I love the updated interface and it's apps load blazingly fast since I have it directly connected to my router. The picture is great, especially paired with my Blu-ray DVD player which is the best way to see how good your display really is. Lastly I really like the design of the remote. It's simple and intuitive.

Q: QuestionWhat does 2160 p mean and is it better than 1080p?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer 1080p means 1080 lines (vertical resolution) and usually means a display which is 1920 pixels wide by 1080 tall. 2160 is double that, and is called "4K" - where the 4000 is now the horizontal resolution instead of the vertical one. Specifically, 2160p is an alternative name for 4K UHD, a resolution supported by UHDTV products and which offers four times the definition of 1080p. The number 2160 stands for a display resolution which has 2160 pixels along the shortest side, while the letter p stands for progressive scan or non-interlaced. In a progressive image, the lines of resolution of the image go from the top of the screen to the bottom. 4K is the direction displays and TVs are headed, but it is still early and there is not much 4K material out there. Hope this helps.
