Q: QuestionIs this model the same as the un55hu6950?Is this model the same as the un55hu6950, but just the Best Buy store specific model? If not what are the differences?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I originally had the UN55HU6830F and returned it for the UN55HU6950F. The two major differences I found: 1) The 6830F uses really poor quality display panels made by AUO. These boxes will be labeled "VERSION KS02" on one end. The 6950F, on the other hand, uses a much higher quality display panel actually manufactured by Samsung. These boxes will be labeled "VERSION TS01". 2) The 6830F comes with a traditional remote control, where as the 6950F comes with an "upgraded" remote that has few buttons, but uses motion and voice to control the TV. The 6950F adds motion and voice control missing on the 6830F. There may be other differences, but these are the two I noticed immediately.

Q: Question4K Upscale qualityHi, Can you please let me know how the 4k upscale quality on this basic 4k TV ? With 60Hz of refresh rate how is the picture quality in fast motion ? I couldn't see any demo with non-4k content in bestbuy. Thanks!
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer So from my understanding the upscale is that it tries to get as close to 4K as possible and in my experience watching television on COX digital cable it looks amazing and I can tell a difference from the 1080P TV and my plasma I have, although I have never owned a LED so some could be attributed to that. I watched Star Wars on Blu Ray and was also really impressed. I am a big time video and audiophile so it take a lot to make me impressed and buy a new product. You won't be disappointed even though it seems as a "basic" 4K TV. The only reason this is cheaper is because the processors in this TV is different than the newer models. Just like computers, the tech gets faster and better always. However with TVs I believe this processor will be fine for the next 3-5 years and will not limit your experiencing true 4K content. As for the 60HZ refresh rate, the TV is rated with a 240HZ "CLEAR MOTION RATE" so some sort new thing Samsing is doing for refresh rate of frames. I guess a sort of digital refresh rate that the processor and screen work together to make your eye see a 240hz refresh rate even though the TV is marketed at 60hz Samsung gets 240hz with their new technology. I bought this TV for my fiancé and I watched some March Madness with it and Star Wars Pod racing on Blu ray and was trying to nit pick it and complain about the refresh rate but I really could not. This is the sole reason I have a plasma at home because of the 600hz refresh rate and I love video games , sports , and movies, but I am sold on the 4Ks and am hoping the O-LED will be more affordable in the future because of the wide range of deep colors. In conclusion you will not be disappointed in the "upscale" capability, nor will you regret watching sports or fast and the furious on this awesome TV. I always buy open box Samsung if I can and have never had an issue over 5 years with my plasma , now this one! Hope that helps!
