Q: QuestionCurrently have a JennAir that is a downdraft model. This slide-in range is installed under a window and therefore there is not a hood over it. Will this be a problem with the Samsung Slide-In Electric Range not having a hood?

- A:Answer Hi SBird! This range has 2 types of automatic shut-off. The first is the timer feature that can be set ahead of time to automatically turn off the oven at the designated time. The other is for safety; if you leave the oven door open for more than 2 minutes when the oven is on, all heating elements will shut off automatically. ^Jecca

Q: QuestionWe have noticed that the main control panel locks up by itself and the only fix is to shut power off via the breaker panel and then turning back on. So far it has happened three times, easy fix but looks like a defect. Any permanent fix? Replace or get

- A:Answer We had to return it, the problem got worse and worse . We’d only had it for 3 weeks , it began actually shutting off while baking. We really had to beg because it was 5 days past the 14 day return . Definitely defective! We then got a GE instead and it’s not as sleek but excellent performance. Appreciate the help Best Buy gave us with our predicament.
