Q: What's the difference between JU, JS & KS series?
A: The J or K represents the model year. The K series is the new 2016 model. The U vs S, is Samsung's indicator of UHD and their higher end SUHD models.
Q: Can this TV be wall mounted?
A: Yes this set can be wall mounted. It weighs considerable less than previous 65 inch models. See the attached photo of the mounted TV that I took immediately after I ran the hidden wiring and placed on to the mount. Regarding the hidden wiring, this set uses a connection system that Samsung calls "One Connect". It is a small unit that you run all of your, non-power, wires through so that you actually only have one wire going to the set. This simplified the fishing of the wires (only one instead of 4 - 6, and if I add another component I just hook it up to the One Connect box and done!
Q: Can the width of the legs be adjusted so that they are closer together?
A: Yes they can. I almost didn't buy this wonderful set because the feet were too wide, but a Samsung rep showed me alternate slots closer to the middle. In that position the width between the feet is just under 40"
Q: do you need 4k service to get the picture that you see at demonstration?
A: Yes you do. Their is always Netflix that offer 4k movies and shows but Costs a little extra
Q: Does this TV have optical output to connect with Sony soundbar?
A: Yes, it has optical, hdmi, and Bluetooth that'll work with other brands.
Q: How far do you need to sit away from screen to have optimal viewing?
A: We sit about 6-8 feet back and have no visual issues at all. With 4K, you can sit much closer that you normally would with standard HD. The higher pixel count allows this.
