Awesome right of box
|Posted .So it has been time to replace my Panasonic 42” plasma which works perfect. Paid $2k for it in 2006. I have been watching black fridays for last 2yrs.. Yes i am picky n thrifty. So black friday 2018 i ordered the Samsung curved 7100, got it set it up and was underwhelmed plus white lines on football fields were more green than white, so maybe i got a bad one or not, though the clarity was not to my liking either and since plasmas are pretty dang good tv’s and my home theatre upconverts to 4k i needed better. So back it went. As it is you cannot really tell how good a tv is in the showroom since they all play super hi quality digital recordings and look the same. No matter price they all are pretty much same picture. So hard to tell. My brother has a Sony and i love it since they use a different panel, no degradation from an angle and very good lighting, crisp picture. So i watched pricing on Sony’s but they don’t discount more than 100-200$. Watched all thru Christmas, playoffs and superbowl. So Presidents day comes and the Samsung comes down $300. and the Sony goes up $100 lol go figure both 2018 models. Sony is a great tv but just trying to be a primo brand even though there market share has shrunk considerbly in the last 2 decades. So i go to my 2nd choice the Samsung Q6 65”. Now a week later and i still love it, Great price and perfect out of the box no fine tuning needed, love the dynamic, standard, natural, cinema brightness settings. Also watch a YouTube video on my phone and poof it is on my tv with one touch. Although i did want a 75” i just could not understand or justify the 1000$ jump in price for 10” bigger screen it comes to 100$ an inch or you can buy 2 65” for just 300$ more than one 75”. Bottom line the Q6 is awesome all the way around price, picture, clarity imho.

Fantastic TV!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I bought this TV a little over a month ago. It was open-box at about $1000. So I saved about $70. It was in perfect condition. This is the best TV I've ever had. The images are crisp and super realistic. The blues and blacks are deep and give great contrast. Even the audio is substantial enough for movies or sports that you don't necessarily need to get an accompanying soundbar or connect it to an audio system. The 65" is definitely was big enough for our average-sized living room. We put it on a 60" TV stand, and you will need something close to that to support the widely placed feet (about 43" apart), and for it not to look strange (i.e. top-heavy) being such a wide TV. Otherwise, it can be installed on the wall. The smart features are great. You can access any of the apps you have subscribed to, such as HBOGO or Netflix, and also go to the internet to sites such as YouTube. Overall, we've been very pleased and satisfied with the TV, and it will probably be our primary TV for several years to come. It has replaced my 55" Samsung that I bought in 2012 and is still alive and well, but resides in another room in the house. I have faith in Samsung TVs in general, and I believe this TV will last for quite a while. It appears to have no problems at all. This level of Samsung TV is a step up into the higher-class level of Samsung's TV line without completely breaking the bank.

Great TV for a great price!!!!
|Posted .Love this TV, only reason it gets a 4 is because Samsung cheated the Q6 out of the Power box and the cut out the others have for the Wall mount and I was forced to cut a hole and install an outlet to hide wires. Wish I had Q8 money but I am truly happy with this TV, the picture is great. Dont mind the light glare, that's a bright light shining on us finishing the work. Although the Q7 and up have better anti glare screens, this Q6 isnt bad at all.

Good TV but with its flaws
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This Qled Samsung has a bright and vibrant picture with a nice 120hz refresh rate. The blacks seems nice and dark, whites are very bright (almost too bright). HDR on Netflix is amazing! Samsung operating system is easy to use and awesome. Detects any input and switches automatically. The negatives No native DTS audio support. Plugging any USB drive and playing videos encoded with DTS audio is not support. You will not get any sound! One easy way around this is using a Plex server and using the Plex app with the TV. Some motion scenes seems to have stutter and sort of jitter. I've tried playing with the motion settings with no real resolve. Just have to deal with it in certain scenes and instances. Overall a good TV.

Amazing picture
|Posted .I got a steal on a perfect condition open box and this tv is amazing. The picture quality is just incredible. It's even better than the Samsung 55" from two years ago that it replaced. The only thing I don't like is the small remote that Samsung uses nowadays with no number buttons. I guess I could talk to it to change channels but I'm just not into that, call me old school I guess... Other than that though this tv is top notch. I'd highly recommend it

Love my Samsung 65" QLED TV
|Posted .Lightening struck a tree in my front yard and zapped my Samsung 50" TV, an avid football fan, I used this opportunity to buy a new bigger and better TV! I researched CNET, Consumer Reports, visited Walmart, Costco, BJ's etc....before deciding on the Samsung 65 QLED... I LOVE IT! When my BFF visited last week, I had on the Ryder Cup and she could not believe the picture quality....and neither could I! AWESOME TV!

Q: QuestionWhats the diffrence of Q6, Q7, or Q8? Which tv is the better tv?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Samsung QLED televisions in 2018 go from Q6 (intro) to Q9 (highest model). Main differences: Q8 &Q9 have the full array of backlighting and 60 watt audio speakers whereas Q6 & Q7 only have edge lit LED back lit display and 40 watt speakers. Q6 is only model around 1000 nits of brightness whereas Q7-Q9 have 1500-2000 nits of brightness (extremely bright). Lastly, the local dimming areas grow in number from Q6 to Q9...since Q9 has hundreds of dimming areas enhancing blacks, bright objects don’t have a halo effect across dark landscapes. All models are 4K image quality but those are the main tech diffs other than price point!

Q: QuestionWhat is the distance (width) between the stand or legs. Want to make sure it will fit on corner tv stand
Asked by Flint.
- A:Answer I’m looking at purchasing the Samsung 65 inch 4K UHD tv. (UN65NU6900). I want to make sure it will fit on my tv stand that is 50 inches wide. How wide is the distance between the stand legs on the tv?
Answered by Rob19
Q: Questionhow far apart are the legs on 65 inch 4k Qled HDR Q6 series, need to know what size table for TV to set on.
Asked by kofeman.
- A:Answer From the outside edge of one leg to the outside edge of the other is 43". Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionHow long of a tv stand will I need to cover the television legs? Will my 48.5 inch long entertainment stand cover stand width?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The legs are 42” apart and almost 12” wide, so yes if your stand is 48.5 “ long it will fit fine.

Q: QuestionMany articles state 2018 Samsung Qled will have variable refresh rate. Is this true of this model? I can’t even find anything on Samsung’s website
Asked by Jason.
- A:Answer The actual hardware refresh rate on this TV is 120Hz, and Samsung uses their own software to “smooth out” and sort of scale up motion. They then deceptively call it “Motion Rate 240”, but this is NOT 240Hz. Remember to always look for the “Hz”. Be warned with this TV, that the motion is choppy and falls out of sync with the sound. I’ve already been burned by this- $2000 on a TV that is annoyingly distracting to watch. Hopefully Samsung fixes this before other people get burned too.

Q: QuestionWhat is the width between the prongs/stands. I am wondering if this tv will be able to be set on my current tv stand. All my previous tvs have had a middle prong
Asked by slwhity.
- A:Answer Outside of prongs or feet of TV Stand is 43" across on the bottom.. Our cabinet is 52" across top and had plenty of room. TV extends out about 2.5" on each side of cabinet. And I am answering question referencing the 65" Samsung QLED TV.
