Love my new Q80
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This set has a great picture, and from first turning it on everything was smooth. The software walked me through all the set up very well. In addition, the Samsung TV Plus is like having a free basic cable package, so that was a surprise! I was watching in minutes... The screen is very clear and the colors are fantastic! The blacks are a bit non-contrast, so no detail in blacks or dark areas of screen in auto mode, but I read the reviews prior to purchase, and I am working that out so full detail of picture can be achieved in auto mode... I am using now in a manual mode and working to fine tune... Still a great Picture! The sound is a vast improvement over my 2013 65" Samsung! I was using a Bose 5.1 system with that one (which went into my bedroom). This new Q80 however, could almost be used without it, but since it's the new movie machine, I'll just have to turn up the volume on the older set... Although at first, I thought the remote was way too simplistic, I've found it to be very capable and intuitive to use. The more that I experiment with it, the more I learn , and the more I realize it's a bonus to have paired down the over-buttoned controls of the yester-years sets... Bravo to Samsung!

My Cheap Self couldn’t be Happier!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Happy Cheap Self! That’s me! I’m a single mom of 3 and I need a nice TV to go along with my midnight snacks!!! Yup! I’m in Love! Super happy! I returned another Samsung bcs my bro bought one like this and the picture is amazing from any angle! Remodeling my home, so was perfect timing! It is being used in the living room now, till the walls come tumbling down lol! Kids sit on breakfast table and can see without that dimming intrusion! Love it! For the price it’s perfect for a Cheapie like me! My sis spent $8K on the OLED, but This baby is super close for less than half the cost of OLED! Pairs perfectly with my Xbox n PS5 lol! Has 4 HDMI,s! Will move this to game room once house is completed and may buy another one for living room! Love it!!! Awesome for gaming!

Samsung does it again
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an owner of three Samsung TV’s all of which were Sony and LG previously...I have no hesitation to purchase a new Samsung in replacement of my 55” in my theater. This QLED did not disappoint. The structure of the unit appears to be well built to today’s standard and the anti-glare screen is a plus. Plenty of ports on the rear, and VESA mounting holes which offer plenty of depth, so you can have ease of mind that you can have enough threads to engage. You will need two to maneuver the TV and to mount it. The picture is fantastic. Take care to understand that the TV will produce a picture ONLY as good as the input provided. The ability of the internal processors to up-convert is very good, but remember as you head towards double the resolution of an inputted resolution that has only half of the data the final product will not be full 4K or HDR 10+. With inputs providing that data the picture is fantastic! To get the full capability remember to activate Input Signal Plus in the General settings on the TV. I use an external home theater receiver so I cannot review the sound quality, but I can say if you do not have the ability to use ARC or eARC there is an optical output to use. Remember if you plan to use optical into a receiver you are limited to 5.1 surround due to bandwidth. If you expect 7.1 or higher you then need components that can accept eARC from the HDMI connection. Menu navigation is smooth, and the remote is simple. The only knock on this TV is not the unit itself it is the availability of manuals. Everything is online. Whether it is from the internet on a laptop/desktop it is virtual on the TV itself. However; the smart TV is very smart. The software is capable of troubleshooting the TV itself and has the ability to self setup inputs...I feel like HAL 2000 will pop up on screen. I’ve said enough. Last statement...you can’t make chicken salad out of chicken crap...so don’t expect miracles if you provide input data that is chicken crap.

Elephant in the room. PS. Love elephants.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome picture. Still learning everything tv can do. Rich blacks & whites. For questions, I called Samsung. We are very old. They even remotely fixed one mistake I made & were so nice to us. Also must give a shout to the Geek squad who delivered tv timely & very expert in the set up. This TV has extremely well made center support so was able to do a table set up. We have 8 foot ceilings so not enough room above the fireplaced to do a wall mount. Very satisified with all. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Great value and performance in a large screen TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third Samsung and my second QLED. No learning curve required to understand remote, Tizen OS, and setup. This one is mounted in the basement home theater room, so essentially a dark environment. I compared many selections in my local BB with some able and patient assistance. There were only two real contenders: the LG 77” OLED and the Q80. The winning argument? The Q80 was about 40% cheaper and presented an almost imperceptible less visually appealing display. I like: The picture: vivid colors, dark blacks, and no pixelation. The audio is not bad at all, but the amps and speakers will soon be downstairs for the 9.1 experience. Bixby is even better than previous version, now the TV listens and understands me without pushing a microphone button Setup was a breeze! I don’t like: So far there is no Tablo app available. My wife and I like to time shift OTA broadcasts. Get on it Samsung and Tablo!

Great quality tv
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted a good TV for our kids game room. This TV at this size has such a good quality picture. We originally picked up an OLED but decided to go with this one, saved 2k, and I'm quite satisfied. The only thing I can complain about is that when I put the screensaver on it makes a low grade buzzing sound that to my ears drives me nuts haha

Love This TV, Sound Bar and Wall Mount
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this new Samsung TV! It has a great picture, all the smart tv features, was easy to set up and connect to my wifi and the 75" size is perfect for my room. I got the wall mount that tilts and swivels as well as the Samsung sound bar and installed everything myself with just one helper to lift the tv up to the bracket. I could not be more pleased with this product.

Be a baller on a budget
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a ton of research on these TV’s. Waited for the 75’s to go on sale. I have a lot of windows so the QLED was a no brained. & if you think the OLED SONY is a better TV then why are you here? Go spend the $4K + & buy it. At the $2-2500 range I compared the 7 series at another store. For the extra money, not even close!! The Q80 is 10x better. I also bought the samsung sound bar 60 version. It linked up as soon as I turned it on. (I had no idea) The remote control is simple and makes life easy for me. (My eyes are going) I’d rather look on the screen then stare at a little remote. Bought a wall mount from Amazon mounted with ease. Bottom line- you buy one Tv every 10yrs or so. If your not a baller and spend double the money on the OLED, the 7 series is good but (not great compared to this) then this is the best move.

Q: Questionwhat is difference between Q80 75" 2019 or the Q80 75" 2020 beside the stand speakers
Asked by oldman.
- A:Answer DO NOT BUY LAST YEAR'S 2019 Q80 MODEL. The new model is so much better. The LED panel for the newer Q80 in 2020 has a tremendously better controlled LED array. The blacks are much richer and has so much more contrast than the 2019 Q80 model. This new one is 50% more capable and is able to deliver blacks that are very rich and whites that are brighter and more crisp. So, I planned to buy a 2019 Q80, but I saw the 2020 at a Trade Show. There is a big, big difference. No way am I buying last year's model. I am waiting and going to buy the 2020 Q80 right when it comes out, or right when it comes to my local Best Buy -- where I don't have to ship it.

Q: QuestionWhat is QLED? What is TIZEN platform? WE are a Apple home for Iphone and computer. Is one Smart TV format more compatible ? How does this compare to OLED TV
Asked by marge.
- A:Answer Hi Marge! Samsung QLED TVs use Quantum dots which are inorganic, durable, stable and allow for excellent color and brightness, even in a bright environment.
