I have been curious about SSD for a while now. I usually see them as 256/512 GB. I have a desktop that has a hybrid SSD HD with a small SSD storage allotment. Personally, I did not notice much of an improvement on that system from four years ago. I installed this drive into my gaming rig replacing a standard SATA Drive. I cloned it with Acronos without any problem. I disconnected my old drive and fired up the box. It did seem to boot up faster, but truth be told I did not pay much attention to the first time. I had always heard that you should put the operating system on the SSD and use the standard HD as a “storage drive” for data and rarely used programs. I assume that was due to the smaller SSD drives. With the 1TB to use I kept only my most frequently used programs and games on the SSD and of course the Win 10 operating system. I moved all the video’s, music and junk over to the standard HD (I kept my original HD intact, just in case). Upon firing up the box after a little bit of housekeeping, I noticed a substantial decrease in the booting time, also by the time I got past the password screen everything was ready to go in less than 30 seconds, very impressive. Details: No cables included, no directions, compatible with 2.5 7mm Sata drives in laptops, desktops and PlayStation. Very happy with the performance, should have done this years ago. The Samsung 860 QVO 1 Tb is worth buying, you will be so happy you did.

This drive is just as fast as the EVO lineup. It’s not as reliable but it’s a lot cheaper. The drive is a good choice if you want to save some money but you also want storage capacity with the speed of an SSD. I had issues installing this on a Dell Inspiron 24. Dell’s UEFI boot wouldn’t recognize the drive after cloning it. Maybe I did something wrong but at the end and after long hours of troubleshooting I ended up disabling the UEFI boot and installing a fresh copy of Windows 10. I wasn’t able to use the data migration software but at the end the drive performed as expected from a Samsung SSD.

Picked this up to get a faster performance from the PlayStation Pro . Definitely a great choice for speeding up those long load times . Pretty solid performance overall noticeably faster from the original hard drive . I was getting frequent error codes as I picked up the Pro from a Rent-A-Center so I could only imagine how many miles it had on it before I put a bunch on it . Still going nice and strong and haven’t gotten error codes like before . Fast performance and really easy to install . Just get a external drive and load the PlayStation software on it and your on the way to a new life in the pro. After using this I’m not going back to hdd so I did grab another drive but got the EVO since it was on sale at the times and had to go ahead and get it so if I need to swap it’s already to go
