Samsung - ATIV Book 4 15.6" Laptop - 6GB Memory - 750GB Hard Drive - Mineral Ash Black

I love my new laptop. I'm a college student and it does everything I need it to do. It has a great look with a grade A performance. There seems to always be an update available, so I find myself constantly updating. Overall I'm satisfied with this product. I found windows 8 to be very east to navigate after a few days.

I bought this laptop on my last visit to USA. The laptop stopped working just in two weeks. - At first the screen started to fluctuate (http://i39.tinypic.com/2lx8psg.jpg). Initially it would work fine after a restart. Then suddenly the screen went off completely. Now the laptop starts but the screen won't. - I tried to contact Best buy by email, with all the details, they did not give me any proper response. They replied that its beyond their expertise. - My first time with Samsung and I am highly dissatisfied. Would prefer MAc or Toshiba from the next time onwards. - When I went to Bestbuy store, the guy told me, that the laptop Samsung laptops come with international warranty. When I ordered one online, that was not the case - Would recommend European customers to avoid buying stuff from best buy and to be careful about warranties.

I got this computer for school and so far its pretty good. It starts up quickly and the video and sound is good. The mouse-pad is a bit tricky; it does this thing when you slid you finger from the left or right edge to the center it switches to other open programs. Could be useful but for me its aggravating at times. There's also a way to scroll using the mouse-pad but you have to use two fingers at a time and it really doesn't scroll very well, can be lag with the scroll. I never use it any more and have switched to the arrow keys. You can disable the many mouse-pad features though. One downside is Windows 8 which is just plain confusing. After awhile you get use to it but finding certain features can be a hassle. The start menu comes with a lot of apps that I personally found useless and then there's the whole, make a Microsoft account just to access some of them like Skype. Better off getting Skype for the desktop because the Skype app is stupid. Despite all my nit picking this is a good computer for the price.

I purchased this laptop as a replacement/backup for my previous Samsung laptop, this one at half the price, while the main one went into repair. As someone who makes a living on a computer, running my own business, I can't go a day without one. I had no problems getting it set up and running, getting myself back to work. I rather wonder why I spent twice as much on the other one (granted, faster). It's quite similar, and after about a month of using it, I have no complaints. Okay, one complaint, although that is not about the laptop, but about the software installed on it, Windows 8. I have yet to find a living, breathing human being who prefers Windows 8. The kind salesperson showed me how to override it to the earlier version, and that is what I now use, although W8 keeps trying to creep back onto my screen. Other than that, this is a terrific backup laptop.

This is a very nice laptop. Display is bright and battery life is good. Three USB ports let you use a mouse and a wired printer with one more port left over for a thumb drive. Brushed aluminum finish is very nice but you'll need to keep it wiped down. It shows fingerprints. Very lightweight. No DVD ROM. No NUMLOCK indicator. Mouse Pad is very touchy. I prefer an external mouse. You will too. Windows 8 is taking some getting used to. It has a very attractive interface but it's like playing hide and seek to find your programs. Video card is acceptable for business but you cannot play games using flash player. It stutters.

I love this laptop. It is wonderful for the price and gets done everything that I use it for when it comes to my school work. It is an excellent player for youtube videos and runs smoothly. The only things that can get on a users nerves is problems from windows 8 here and there. Sometimes it may cause the mouse to not move for a second or slow a program here or there but other than that it is wonderful. The screen size is great and not too big. And this laptop is lightweight so no worries about carrying around a bulky laptop. Also one downside is there is not cd drive and it does not have a back lit keyboard but other than those it is still a great computer. Also the samsung side sync option is nice when having to do important things and not wanting to have to look away from the screen to check your phone.

We wanted just a basic laptop computer for emails and internet. Really didn't want one of the new touch screens and we were happy to find this computer with a reasonable price. The sales person did not pressure us to buy "up" or additional items. We saw what we wanted and were in and out of the store quickly. Has done exactly what we need it to do.....even though I am SURE it can do much, much more!

I am a Apple user but since joining a new company I am required to use Windows. I have not used a Windows based Laptop since XP. Starting up this new Samsung Ativ 4 with windows 8 was a breeze. I actually really enjoying working on this laptop. I will say that having touchscreen would probably be pretty cool but I didn't want to spend the money and I always set up my computers with 1-2 additional monitors so I was skeptical of weather it would be useful or a burden. Another great feature of this laptop is the side sync. I love that my phones screen pops up on the laptop screen so I can text make calls or do whatever without having to touch my phone. Great Feature! Basically my review sums this Laptop to being a great work/business Laptop. I would recommend it to anyone.
