I have had Samsung Blu ray players forever, and this is by far the best one yet. The others have all been garbage, breaking quickly even without excessive use. This one is fast, it remembers where you left off in a vid and it has lots of apps. That said, the biggest problem lies not only with this player, but with countless others, and that is the darn remote's layout. The HOME button, which takes the movie off and takes you to the main player's screen, is right above the play button, so if you're not actually looking down at the remote, you suddenly find yourself having to click back to the movie, which is frustrating. Honestly, it's like the designers never actually LIVE with their own design EVER before putting it out there for us to buy. Other than that, I like it a lot.

This is a great bluray player. I have 4 of them and each one has a 4 year full replacement warranty from bestbuy incase it should give out, trust me best buy does in fact honor their warranty for bluray players and AV Receivers however when it comes to tvs and cellphones/ tablets it's difficult to get a new replacement usually for those devices they want to give you a refurbished one which most people do not want and constantly complaint about which i dont blame them, i wouldn't want some one else's used goods when it comes to tech. Getting back to the review, if I have 4 of these bdh6500 bluray players in my home you know it's definitely a great product. I have 1 samsung smart tv that is paired with this bluray player and I was able to turn on a feature called BD Wise and man I was blown away! My older 2007 model samsung tvs don't have the bd wise feature nor does my sharp Aquos 650 series tv but I will be getting a samsung 78 inch HU9000 to go with my living room bluray player soon because it is also bd wise compatible and it also has the capability of being upgraded to a newer ONE CONNECT box for new content and features. once that BD wise is turned on it will play all your bluray movies and cartoons in the best picture quality possible. Dvds also work with the bd wise feature and plays them at their best resolutions and calibration set up. As long as the tv and bluray player are both bd wise compatible, your in good hands with samsung's perfectly calibrated set up. You won't want to go back to standard. Trust me the 120HZ or 240hz your tv has will look amazing and will really make it stand out. This bluray player played every movie i put in it which is excellent. The only 2 things I honestly don't like about this player and wish it had available but not a big deal just want to throw it out there, is 1. The buttons on the player don't light up so at night it could be a bit tricky to control the bluray player with out accidentally ejecting the disc or powering off the player and 2. You can't re arrange the main apps from the player. I use Netflix and youtube alot and I don't use Hulu or amazon prime or any other service so I wish I could put Netflix as my first app and youtube as my second app for easy access but regardless of that small issue, this player is still awesome, "VERY RELIABLE" and I would highly recommend it.

Bought this to replace my previous Samsung bluray player. It has great features such as built in WiFi for streaming, an optical audio output for my Bose system, and the picture quality is great. Even with an old LCD TV, I still see an improvement with the picture. I'm sure it will be even better when I upgrade to the 4K TV. It's also compact so it will fit anywhere. I highly recommend this bluray player as an upgrade. You won't be disappointed.

I had a high end Sony that was lost in a lightning strike. I had very good luck with that one, and was a little hesitant about switching to Samsung. They definitely make the best TV's, but could never come close to Sony's DVD players in the past. After purchasing this one, I guess times have changed! This Blu-Ray player is SUPER FAST! Even applications like Netflix takes 1/3 the time to open! Their new processor in this unit is very impressive, and I would recommend it to anyone! The only thing I miss is some kind of indicator light when the unit is off so you can at least tell the thing still has power. Definitely not a deal breaker though!

I was looking for a Blu-ray player with web browsing. I found this and more when I purchased the Samsung Smart Blu-Ray Player BD-H6500/ZA. The unit was easy to set up and the picture quality and l features are excellent. I love the fact that I can also play my regular DVD's, in addition to my music CD's on this unit as well. I would truly recommend this Blu-Ray Player to anyone..

I finally broke down and bought my first Blu-ray player. I did my research and decided to purchase this one. And, I have to say I just love my new Wi-Fi Blu-ray player. I am technically challenged however this Wi-Fi Blu-ray was easy to set up. I was online in no time at all and I didn't have to call my son for any support. :) I really enjoy being able to watch movies on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon. The first week I had it, I barely watched TV at all. With the costs of cable TV getting higher and higher I am strongly considering cancelling my cable service and turning in my DVR player. If you are a first time buyer for this type of product and are not tech savvy like me, this is a great choice!
