GREAT for productivity!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my home office. I don't game much anymore and haven't tried this monitor for this yet. Though, my teenage son is drooling over the opportunity! I've been using the monitor now for about a month and the experience has been wonderful I work with a lot of large spreadsheets consisting of a lot of columns. Excel is AMAZING with a monitor this wide. I also do a lot of multitasking and keep a lot of applications open throughout the day. I am able to see a lot of things going on at once when I don't have the screen filled with a spreadsheet. I would recommend getting a good monitor arm. First, you must have a pretty deep desk as the monitor legs will take up quite a bit of desk space. Because the monitor is large and 1080 resolution, your font is not small, which allows you to push the monitor back a good way and still be able to see it well. A monitor arm will give you much more space and allows the monitor to hoover over the desk. I put a lot of research into finding an arm strong enough to hold up a monitor that weighs nearly 30 pounds without the stand. I was able to purchase the Loctek D7L Heavy-duty Monitor Arm. It is rated up to 33 pounds and does a good job of keeping this monitor supported. It was the cheapest monitor arm I could find that would support the weight. I find the monitor to be a premium device. Some argue that a higher resolution would be better. However, I still prefer the 1080 resolution for work productivity so that I am not straining my eyes looking at small text all day. The text isn't huge either...it's just right in my opinion. This monitor is simply impressive. It makes time spent at the computer very enjoyable....especially if you like to multitask.

Best Monitor for Web Developers!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a website developer so I have (had) a lot of monitors on my desk. But this new Samsung monitor allowed me to get rid of 3 monitors and just use this one in their place - less wires. At first I was hesitant to buy this huge monitor because of the price but I gotta say, I have NO REGRETS! I absolutely LOVE working again. I can hold 4 different websites on the screen at once on this big monitor and then I use my small monitor to do my website edits. I highly recommend this product!!!!

Excellent Monitor For Dev Work
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure, I just got this monitor today and have used only for a few hours, but I’m already in love with it. Unlike most of the reviews, I purchased this monitor for work purposes (as opposed to gaming). I’m a software engineer and since I work from home, I wanted something equally functional and aesthetically pleasing. This monitor definitely delivers on both fronts. I primarily work on a 2019 MacBook Pro 13” and this monitor worked right out of the box. Initially the text was quite large, but after going to the Display settings on the MacBook and scaling it down I was easily able to get the resolution and real estate I was used to with my former dual monitor setup. I couldn’t find much information on compatibility, so hopefully this eases concerns for fellow Mac users that are interested in an ultrawide for non-gaming purposes. Also, it should be noted that the monitor itself without the stand is around 26lbs, so if you’re looking to get a monitor arm your options are a bit limited in the $250 below range. I purchased the AVLT-DM40-1 (rated up to 33lbs) for about $140 and it is holding up nicely. All in all this is an enormous upgrade over my previous setup and I’m extremely happy.

Small - Thin - Wide screen monitor.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first curved monitor. I used this with a HP pavilion laptop. It seems that the laptop can not go as wide in the settings to display it correctly. It will display in zoomed mode only. I tested this on a Nintendo switch and was surprised that it was able to fit the screen automatically. However it did have a foggy image to it. No to bad at all so it’s not going to be to much of a distraction. But if your looking for image Quality you will find it and be annoyed by it. I have yet to test this on my new pc so this image thing might be caused by the Nintendo switch itself. It’s unclear right now as my ox is not here yet. I like it but the only few things that really just tick me off about it is the cords there’s to many cords this comes with. I have them all plugged in to the monitor but there not in use. Only the power and the speaker port are being used right now. Anyway the cherry that makes me hate it is the was the ports were made. Unless you plug everything your going to plug into it straight out of the box your going to find yourself in frustration when you want to plug more stuff in later as the plugs are upside down under the screen. And the cord arrangement needs to be reopened to store your newly added cords. It comes with a small mounting plate but I wouldn’t mount this on the wall at all. At this price anyway. It would of been nice if it came with a installed camera but I like that it didn’t in the end. I added my own. I tried using a yeti mic on this screen nothing happen. My mix never detected it was plugged into anything and obs didn’t detect it as well. So for further testing I’m waiting on my ox to get here. It does have a few marks on the screen but are not very noticeable unless your really looking for these. It should have a light in the back but I can never see that while using it so I won’t be reviewing that at all here. The stand kinda takes most of the space under the screen. I think they need to design a newer stand for it but it is solid for now. As long as you don’t move it a lot I think it should be fine. Other than that I would say keep your box. If you move you’ll need a box that fits this.

The ultimate monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE this monitor! I purchased two of these for our home office that hubby and I share. When I hook up my laptop to it I have the potential of using the equivalent of four monitors...what! My productivity has increased tremendously. And when I really want to focus on something (especially creative designs) I can scale my windows to be larger and still have two monitors. I highly recommend these if you have the space. I was worried at first that it would be too large but that fear went away as soon as I sat in front of it to work. I know it is designed for gaming and I do not game but it definitely has upscale my home office.

Fantastic Monitor. Very Immersive!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this monitor. I tried 3 27" msi's to game on and it got old. Too wide and the bezels between the screen was ok. I then went to a 32" 1440p monitor. It is and still is fantastic, but i wanted something more to emerge inside my games. This monitor is great! It is 1080p, but it doesn't take as much to put the fps. I have a 2080 super can i get around 130 fps. Not all games support it, but a lot do. Destiny 2, Hitman, Avengers, Far Cry 5. The settings are easy to navigate too with the little thumb stick on the bottom.

Great gaming monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a fantastic gaming monitor. The large 49” super wide curved screen gives you a sense of being totally emerged while gaming. I have my monitor mounted on a Loctek Heavy Duty mount to give me a better ergonomic eye-level while gaming so I’m not super close to the monitor and adds additional desk space. Overall, it’s a great gaming monitor.

Great replacement for 3 monitors
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been eyeing on this earlier this year. Pulled the trigger 3 months later after an extensive research and comparison of different brands. You can connect 2 video sources for 60hz each or just a single one for 120hz. Theough it is expensive, I am very satisfied with this purchase and have been using the ultrawide view and acreen/window partitioning.

Q: QuestionWill a newer MacBook Pro (2016) drive this monitor with a Thunderbolt3 to DisplayPort adapter? My system report shows an Intel Iris Graphics 540 1536 MB graphics card.
Asked by Mark.
- A:Answer I am using a MacBook Pro (2018) with the monitor and my only concern is that the screen resolution is not that great. I have tried HDMI and DisplayPort cables - no difference. I am looking for a software solution to help improve the resolution- but no luck as of yet.

Q: QuestionCan we do split screen on this monitor, two excel sheet comparison, display two applications side by side independently
Asked by Anand.
- A:Answer You can have several full spreadsheets open at once. Truly a great productivity tool. I can have a word file, Outlook open, a spreadsheet and a browser open and not have to move a thing to see each of them.

Q: QuestionCan this play minesweeper on 4k quality?
Asked by Minesweeperlegend23.
- A:Answer No, not technically. Full HD is commonly defined as 1920x1080 and 4K is commonly defined as twice that in both horizontal and vertical. This monitor is 3850x1080. This is equivalent to 2 Full HD monitors side by side, and really designed for that purpose so you don't have to split across 2 monitors. To be considered 4K, it would also need double the resolution in the vertical, so 3840x2160 instead of 3840x1080. You could play Minesweeper on one half at Full HD and something else on the other half also at Full HD.

Q: QuestionHow are multiple/split screens created on this monitor? is it via software or would I need to have 2 or 3 HDMI port output from desktop & insert both in the monitor?
Asked by Vishal.
- A:Answer Hi, When I purchased the monitor I was having problems with setting up multiple screens. I thought that the monitor would have came with a screen splitting app, which it did not. I contacted Samsung and was able to get their app called Easy Setting Box. Here is the link they provided me: https://displaysolutions.samsung.com/support/resources/product-support/easy+setting+box I hope this helps!

Q: QuestionI purchased this monitor to use in my tax practice. The monitor worked great until I installed a new computer with Windows 10. Now, I cannot get my tax forms to display correctly when I am reviewing returns. Any suggestions??
Asked by ase750.
- A:Answer Did you install the software from Samsung’s website to allow different inputs/display areas? Are you using the same display font scale: small 100%; medium 125%; large 150%; in the personalization settings? Did Windows 10 change the display resolution or aspect ration to 4:3 or 16:9? Your question is very generic, but those are the first things I’d try.

Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer Yes, it comes with the required hardware to mount via VESA 100 x 100. It's just over 26 pounds though, so make sure you get a mount to support that.
