great camera, sharp images
||Posted .Not only is this camera great for a beginner but for all that likes WI-FI, instagram, etc. This camera is Wi-Fi only but has many features of the Samsung smart phone. It has great memory and is easy to transfer pictures through Wi-Fi and to thumb drives, etc. The camera also has a focal point of 21x and has so many features that I am still getting familiar with since the purchase a month ago. I bought the camera for a cross country trip and all 900 photos were excellent and exceptionally sharp and clear even the pictures taken from my car window. I can't say enough about this camera and I look forward to using it again and again. Samsung camera is pricey but it is a great camera.

The camera and the technology is extraordinary
||Posted .Overall, the camera takes great images and video and is very handy. The power-on time is slower than is could be but it's acceptable. I like the intreated features, wifi and e-mail access. That was not expected at all. As a professional, I use the Canon 5D Mark II and Mark III cameras so I don't expect this point & shoot to match them but the Samsung has features that rival and exceed many of the features of my full-frame professional cameras. Battery life is rather short so I purchased several more batteries for backup. The grip design is very ergonomic and comfortable. I had to purchase the leather case from another vendor because the camera came packed more like an iPhone than a camera. overall, it is a quality product and I expect that it will only get better a few models down the line.

Love at First Byte
||Posted .I am a semi-pro photographer and recently purchased the Samsung as a walkabout camera. It has been a blessing because it fits in my purse, has plenty of storage and takes great pictures and even better video. You can also edit your files before uploading them to a computer, YouTube or social network of your choice. There are several widgets included in the tablet portion of the body. I was even able to download royalty free music to add as background soundtracks!! The automatic color, clarity and zoom features are nice and you also have some preset (marco, beauty face, food, night, sport) and DSLR (manual, aperture & shutter priority) features to play with as well. I only wish that the battery lasted a bit longer in tablet mode. Be sure to use a tripod if you are taking video in zoom mode. It makes all the difference!

Nice beginner camera
||Posted .I had to decide changeable lens camera or point and shoot. I went with a point and shoot with many features with an operation system like a cell phone. It is larger then a typical pocket would comfortable hold, but cargo pants pockets it works great. Most features are reached through the screen and not on outside of camera. It is awkward to take a selfie, but can be done. However the options that come with the camera to handle different situation are numerous. It even has a landscape option. For the everyday person the picture quality is above average. I am happy with the purchase and still learning all the things I can do with it.

a feature filled camera
||Posted .I took my camera out in a motor boat and took a wonderful video of my nephew water skiing and of the beautiful sunset. There is a slight learning curve with this camera but if you are willing and able to give yourself time before heading out on that once in a life time vacation and you are looking for a small (not tiny) camera I would check this one out for sure. It has editing features and special effects to enhance photos.

Falls short of the quality I exspect from Samsung
||Posted .I truly wanted this to be a another great Samsung device or wouldn't have even tried a second one when I returned the first. First and foremost......WHERE IS THE GORILLA GLASS!!!! I have accidentally dropped my S4 several times and after checking for damage all was still right in the world. I was sitting on a step trying to find a fix to the issues that were bothering me about the camera, sat it on my lap and reached for a drink, and the phone slid from my lap dropping at the most a foot. As soon as it landed I feared the sharp click I heard might be the touch screen glass breaking, which it did. I thought for sure the screen should have been Gorilla Glass but after checking online found no reference to that being the case. After this the touch screen response diminished as well as camera freezes began. Good thing I paid for the accidental damage coverage or I would have been stuck with paying for the repair as well as owning the camera. The camera was going back even without this happening. Sunrises and sunsets are a real item for me. Sadly, as long as there is even a hint of the sun left visible it is surrounded by glowing pink artifacts. Moving the camera or angle can change the degree of brightness and size of the artifacts but even if the 8 spots turns to one small one it is not acceptable. And to make that happen the sun will no longer be where I desire. Needs object instead of open sky to pull in focus. Panorama capture does not tolerate the changes in light on the beginning and end of the day either. As you pan the skyline, which needs to be mostly textured to land and vegetation to even begin the panorama, the camera shifts the exposure automatically leaving vertical banding and shade bars on the capture. Again not acceptable. I have owned a Galaxy S4 for over a year now and love the camera on it. Doesn't seem right to me that to do either of those 2 actions I have to pull out the phone for a much less troubled result, at a lower resolution and zoom option. To be fair I have taken some spectacular photos with this camera. Jaw droppingly SPECTACULAR as I would share them with friends whose reaction was most rewarding. Battery life is OK but bestbuy does not carry a replacement battery or any other option in any of the stores I visited. Zoom is a pretty nice feature and reaches pretty far out to grab a good shot. WIFI connectivity also a great plus. Auto-focus during video zooming is terrible. The case should be of a different, less slick material I like so much about this camera that I will have to wait for the next version to see if these items have been taken care of.

Q: QuestionDo you need internet connection to use this camera?Do you need internet connection to use this camera?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You can definitely shoot pictures and videos with no internet connection. Since it doubles as a droid device, WiFi is necessary to access that aspect of the camera. With WiFi you can upload your photos and videos, download photo editing apps for manipulation of your shots, etc, but to simply take pictures and videos, no internet is required. The SD card can be placed in a computer, or you can USB the camera to a computer to get the pictures and video with no internet at all.

Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I can tell you that I have the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2. It takes awesome pictures! It has the capacity to zoom in on things. If it cost more than the Samsung galaxy, it's worth every penny. I would highly recommend the Galaxy Camera 2!

Q: Questionfor videos which is best camera or video cameraI want to take videos, is this camera as good as a video camera ?
Asked by Dick.
- A:Answer Thanks for your interest. The GC110 does have the ability to capture high quality video in lengths up to 20-25 minutes. The built-in microphone is very effective in recording voices within about a 10-foot range. Similarly, many camcorders are capable of capturing still images from video, but movies are the primary function and the design and features reflect that. So whether you choose the GC110 or a camcorder really depends on how you plan to use it, and whether the primary purpose is as a camera or a camcorder. It's also worth noting that the GC110 Galaxy Camera does offer the ability to download apps through the Google Play Store that can enhance both still images and video with a variety of special effects. - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionCan you see the screen in bright sunlight? Can you see what you are taking a picture of on the screen when in bright sunlight? My Kodak and my Nikon cameras died just over 1 year each so not even looking at those brands. Am using my phone (LG) now, but need a real camera because I cannot see anything on the screen in bright sunlight. I want to be sure any camera I get does not have the same problem.
Asked by Judy.
- A:Answer Surprisingly it does well in bright light. The screen is huge but fade is not a real problem

Q: QuestionDoes the camera have to be 4G compatible? From some reviews I've gotten the impression that the camera has to be connected to a 4G network, like a smart phone. Is that so? Or can you skip that and just be able to use the internet type things (Facebook, Twitter, email, Google Play Store) when you have wi-fi?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, this does not have to be connected to 4G, you can skip that and use it on wi-fi. You connect to the wi-fi like you would on your smartphone.
