Samsung has done it this time!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been eyeballing this phone for a while now. 1) It's 5G 2) It's unlocked 3) it's under an excellent midrange phone with flagship feature. I haven't had a Samsung phone since the Galaxy S3. Yes, it's been that long and there was nothing that could replace that phone. Pixel 4a 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A52 5G. Both great phones both have almost the same internal hardware but the A52 has a slightly larger screen, a fast refresh rate, a microsd slot, an IP rating and a bigger battery. The downside so far is the camera. The A52 can't beat Google advance trickery. MP is not everything. Images on the A52 is softer and colors a bit on the cooler side. But I don't shoot with my phone. That's where my DSLR comes in. When paired with a glass screen protector, the in-glass finger printer reader is useless. It fails to read correctly every time. Even after setting it back up in the settings. The phone has a nice weight to it. The plastic back is a finger print magnet and at times can feel a bit slippery. Performance wise, it's good but not blazing fast like the SD888 or any prior SD chip. 6GB of ram is great for multitasking and the phone is able to put unused apps to sleep. I haven't notice any slow downs or stuttering. 128GB is plenty of storage for me. I usually backup my photos, if any, to google photos. 5G performance depends on your carrier. I have MintMobile as my carrier which uses the T-Mobile network. Outside speed test, I'm getting anywhere between 300-600Mbps down and about 40-60Mbps up. Indoor performance took a hit where I'm getting between 200-500Mbps. Your mileage will vary from building to building and if 5G is reliable in your area. You can disable 5G if your area does not have any. It'll save on battery life as well. I think one reviewer said there is not a way to turn off 5G. There is. The other reviewer probably didn't know the LTE is 4G LTE. Colors are accurate under normal mode, not vivid mode. The 120Hz screen is smooth but it does drain the battery. You can switch it to 60Hz. Battery life is great coming from a Pixel 3 owner. Under normally usage, I can go a whole day without charging. I have to get use to the Samsung UI3.1 interface. It's ok but it's not like the stock android experience that the Pixel phone has. Overall, a great midrange phone. Just hard to find during the chip storage. When I saw this in stock, I immediately placed an order at my local Best Buy. It's one of the better midrange phone out there.

Good phone
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good phone for a Samsung. It has a good camera and can handle most apps. Video and picture quality is good. I like the case options and it’s a cheaper buy than the a53 if you want a Samsung.

Good, but not the top
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I have only been playing with the camera, screen, internet, haven’t even put the SIM card in, want to see first if I like it enough or to return it ($45 charge). So far, it has been all good, but not the top - you are not getting S 21 or IPhone 13 - no, I compared this one with those - nope. Upgrading from an older J7, it’s a big step forward on the screen, camera, quicker response, etc. But the cons are - it is actually narrower than my old J7, and the screen is not 6.5 inch, as advertised, but rather around 6.2. The narrowness - I don’t like it. I measured IPhone 13 ProMax, and it is also not the official 6.67 across, but barely 6.5, but it is wider. My old J7 is truthfully 5.5, as listed. Seems like all manufacturers are now misleading on the sizes, by including the dead areas of the screen, not lit up. So, yes, very good mid range, fast, very good screen, camera and etc, no glitches encountered yet, other than unable Ng to transfer my old files - smart transfer by Samsung tells me there in not enough space on my old phone, but when I delete what it asks me to, it still shows up like the same amount of space is needed - that’s an app glitch, obviously. It’s worth the 400 I paid for it, not sure about 500. Yet if you want the top cameras, screen, size, etc, then go to up to something else. Battery seems very good.

Q: QuestionIt says you unlocked it and altered it to work on Verizon network. Does that just consist of the 5G and the LTE network? Its still a GSM phone or is it now cdma also, or not needed? Just want to make sure it will work fantastically on the Verizon network.
Asked by Kerry.
- A:Answer It will work on CDMA and GSM networks but the only caveat is that the 5G on the Samsung A52 5G does not support Verizon's UWB (Ultra Wide Band) for 5G. It will still use Verizon's 5G but if only Ultra Wide Band is available where you are then you won't get the best speeds. The different bands/standards are so confusing that you have to do a lot of research into them. If you buy a phone from your carrier it will support whatever bands they use.

Q: QuestionDoes the A52 work on any carrier, like boost mobile for example?
Asked by Will.
- A:Answer Yes, it should work with almost any carrier. The 5G aspect may not work with some carriers, but your standard LTE should work just fine!

Q: QuestionDoes the Galaxy A52 5G support wireless charging? I'm thinking of buying this phone and that is a feature that I would like
Asked by Newbie.
- A:Answer That is a great question! The galaxy A52 5G is not able to support wireless charging. Thank you for asking this question. ^Kayla

Q: QuestionWondering if I can still plug a head set into the phone and not be a wireless type. Does it have a head phone jack?
Asked by Capn.
- A:Answer Yes! This phone has a headphone jack (was just at Best Buy yesterday & checked out this phone) ... & just for info, also has a micro sd card slot. Many phones these days have neither.

Q: QuestionIs this phone compatible with Verizon
Asked by Cris.
- A:Answer Yes. I use Verizon and the Unlocked Model sold at Best Buy supports CDMA & GSM Providers. I own a Galaxy A52 5G Unlocked bought from Best Buy using Verizon Wireless 5G
Answered by thatw0p19eighty8
Q: QuestionSo, when I do research online about this model, it says it is NOT compatible with Verizon CDMA but the description says it has CDMA technology. Which is it?
Asked by RT.
- A:Answer This model sold at Best Buy is compatible with both GSM and CDMA Providers. There are other varients versions of this device, and you more than likely were reading about the international version which only supports GSM Providers. That version also doesn't support 5G. So you have to be careful when doing research, because getting all of the model varients and other competing with it such as Galaxy A32 and A72 all have different qualities depending on where in the world you are located and even how much your willing to spend.

Q: QuestionDoes the 5G work on T-Mobile?
Asked by josh.
- A:Answer Yes, I popped the SIM from my old phone into it and it worked right away. Good 5G speeds in certain areas. It's supposed to support their Band71 (4G and N71 5G). tmoband71.com
