My Dream Laptop.
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This laptop has everything that I've always wanted in a laptop. The stylus, numeric pad, touchscreen, excellent battery life, and the display. It's simply amazing and breathtaking. I couldn't believe my eyes when I open up the laptop and saw the display, all the colors were crisp, clear. and beautiful. Also as a college student, I love that it has a stylus so I can take quick notes and not to mention that you can also record while taking notes so you can go back and listen to your notes. I also love the battery life, I only need to charge it two times per day in compare to my previous laptop where I needed to charge it 5 times per day. Although this laptop is pricey, I recommend buying it when it is on sale or get an open box version. I bought this during the Black Friday sale and got the excellent open box price and it came with no flaws or scratches. Def try to save as much money as you can but this laptop was worth the money that I paid for. I love it and will keep on using it. I would say that a few cons are the low audio (but that can be easily fix in the settings) and that it is a fingerprint magnet. These things aren't a deal breaker but are minor annoyances.

Good laptop

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This laptop is awesome. It has everything I was looking for in a laptop. Only downfall is that I keep having issues with the wireless wifi internet connection and it's not due to my router. I did an exchange but the new one isn't any better. Maybe the bugs will be fixed soon and you have to constantly have to clean fingerprints but it's not a deal breaker. The display is amazing!

Beautifully Big, Bold, & Blue

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Battery life, Display, PenI purchased this laptop after my amazing experience using the Flex Alpha and have been loving it. The reason I prefer this over the Alpha is the bigger screen, S Pen, and USB-C charging. Otherwise, it has mostly the same features. I think battery life is perfect especially for a larger and brighter screen. The battery might last a little less than the 13' inch but that's understandable because of power requirements. Colour is a rich blue that I personally love compared to standard silver or black colors that most laptops have. Many people have issue's with it being a fingerprint magnet but I don't mind it because it's easier to clean. The QLED screen is amazing and I love using it for movies. This laptop is ideal for artists, students, and business professionals. It can also be used for light gaming but I haven't tried running any games on it yet. The sound is acceptable. The fan sometimes runs in the background when performing a large update or running multiple tasks. It doesn't really heat up compared to the 13' inch. S pen sensitivity is amazing and drawing has never felt so satisfying. If I was an artist I can imagine how satisfying it would be to use. Overall I would say it's an incredible laptop from Samsung. Make sure to update it as soon as you get it and it'll be working flawlessly. I recommend contacting Samsung and they will ship you a USB-C to HDMI port if you are looking to connect it to a monitor or TV because the listing says it is supposed to come with one.

Great screen for people on screens all day!
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Display, PenI bought this laptop for the screen. It is amazing and has an "outdoor" mode. You can actually see your computer when the sun is shinning or there is a light refracting off the screen. The touch screen is easy to use. The laptop does not weigh much for it's size. The keyboard is nice, but the wrist area and mousepad could be smaller so that your fingers can reach the keys while resting on a wrist rest. I have huge hands for a woman, and they do not reach the keyboard while posed on the wrist rest. I do love the built-in S-pen. It is fun to draw with it, and it helps with screenshots, annotating in zoom, and signing .pdf. The number pad is nice to have. It has been having issues with bluetooth, kicking my bluetooth mouse off, and saying the the S-pen is not connected. I will be taking it to The Geek Squad soon, when I have time. I am giving this 4 stars due to the reach needed for the keyboard, the bluetooth issues, and the weird way it works as a tablet. It is a little strange and difficult to use in tablet mode. The screen is large and heavy to use in tablet mode. I just use it as a laptop. The blue color is very pretty, but it does show dust and fingerprints more than a silver or white laptop or keyboard would. The speakers are better than the last laptop I had and located on the sides instead of the bottom. You do need earbuds to hear anything if you go outside.

Initially an OK start but great now
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5My initial few weeks with this laptop had its ups and down, I will cover this in pro’s and con below and my final conclusion: Pros - For the size (15.6) of the laptop amazingly light, similar weight to my wife’s 13 inch MBP - Screen is simply amazing, quality is great supports HDR and has an outside feature that makes the screen viewable in direct sunlight - Trackpad is excellent, smooth and accurate and also a wireless charger - S Pen is good but not great, works flawlessly, stored in body of laptop, but a bit to small to be comfortable for long uses - Keyboard is OK, typing is good, travel is OK but the function keys are flipped, rather than hitting F6 to increase the volume you need to hit Function F6 - Design 10/10 beautiful laptop with minimal bezel and a simple elegant industrial design - Fast and large SSD - Finger print scan fast and accurate - Batter life was up and down no consistently good after updates (12 hours+) - Micro SD support added 400GB SD, reads and writes with no issue Cons - Initially lots of driver issues, updates made Bluetooth and WiFi unreliable, but latest driver (3 days ago) has resolved those issues - Only 12GB DDR4 ram, would of been great to get 16 or 32 - Fan noise can get loud - Webcam is meh, not great in these times Conclusion Overall love the laptop, I also have a Lenovo X2 Extreme blown out specs, but prefer using the Samsung would highly recommend as long as you update the drivers and the bios

Good Laptop for School
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Design, Display, PenCons mentioned:Keyboard, MemoryThis is a solid laptop that runs smoothly. As a student taking college courses, it comes in very handy due to the included S-Pen. The keyboard keys are a little low, but it’s not really an issue for me personally. Display is very beautiful, colors are nice and vibrant. The laptop itself in terms of physical appearance is sleek and very attractive. I wouldn’t suggest this laptop if you are a gamer and the like, but if you are a student or a more general type user I think this laptop is very good for what it comes with at the price point. People are upset about the lowered RAM which is understandable, but I haven’t had any issues in performance so far when it comes to my own use. For reference, I have owned a MacBook Pro before that was quite pricier than this and I honestly prefer this so far—there’s just a lot more versatility. I should mention the battery is very good as well and lasts me the whole day. Of course if you watch a lot of videos it will lower the time, but I was able to get through a whole day with some streaming mixed in during my breaks. All in all, I do recommend this laptop!

Q: QuestionIs the RAM upgradeable on this model or is it soldered to the motherboard?

Q: QuestionWhat comes in a box? 15" model
Asked by YanaUnova.
- A:Answer A US power charger that has a USB-C plugin instead of the usual AC adapter comes in the box. You also get an S-pen removal tool with a couple extra tips, a USB-A to USB-C adapter and an eject tool for accessing the SDcard tray. The USA version of this laptop apparently doesn't come with the HDMI to USB-C adapter or the white wireless mouse like the Korean version does, which kinda made me sad. Still a beautiful 2 in 1 notebook.

Q: QuestionCan Flex SSD upgraded later or when you buy?
Asked by Bruce.
- A:Answer The NVME SSD can be upgraded after you purchase it by opening up the laptop. I'm going to upgrade my 15" Flex's SSD to a 2 TB SSD from the 512 GB SSD that came with it.

Q: QuestionDoes this (Flex 15.6) have 1 or 2 SSD slots? I see the Ion 15.6" GB has 2 SSD slots...
Asked by njweb.
- A:Answer It only has 1 SSD slot, the 15.6" version at least. I just got done upgrading the 512 GB SSD to a 2 TB SSD and it's an even better laptop now! I'd assume the 13" has the same amount of slots. The Ion must have a different motherboard. The Ion only has 1 of 2 RAM slots soldered in as well so you can stick in another RAM stick if you want to.

Q: QuestionDoes it have USB ports or just the thunderbolt ports?
Asked by Arianna.
- A:Answer This just has 2 Thunderbolt ports and 1 regular USB-C port and does not have any "standard" USB-A ports. It does come with 1 USB-A to USB-C adapter in the box when you buy it, so that helps. You will need to purchase more adapters or be mindful to get other devices or cables that use USB-C connectors in the future. USB-C is the new standard so more and more devices will be ditching the old "standard" USB-A ports especially to keep new laptops slim.

Q: QuestionCan you play the PC version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare on something like this?
Asked by garrison36.
- A:Answer You can but it will be at low graphics. This laptop does not have a dedicated GPU and uses the graphics built into the CPU. You can add an external GPU to boost performance but if your looking for a laptop for gaming this isn't really the one you would want.

Q: QuestionWhat are others getting for battery life? All updates installed (windows and Samsung Update), 50% screen brightness and "Better Battery" mode, only surfing the web I am getting 5 hours.
Asked by JM.
- A:Answer I don't have the device, but I have heard that if you go though the installation process for all of the initial updates it is supposed to perform better. You can try updating the operating system, BIOS and any apps from the Windows 10 store your have installed on your machine. This should improve the sound quality and some other things on it as well. I have heard people are getting around 10 or so hours, so hopefully that should help at least a bit. The advertised 20 hours for the 13 inch model and 19 hours for the 15 inch version are likely when they are idle since other manufacturers often do the same thing. Another thing you can try is turning off location services and Bluetooth in addition to decreasing the brightness of the screen. These features are known to consume battery life quickly, especially on touch screen laptops. Good luck.

Q: QuestionCan you download apps and play games like you can on the tab s6 tablet?
Asked by Doug.
- A:Answer Yes you can download apps and games but this runs Windows rather than Android. There is the Microsoft store and you can install anything else that you normally can on a Windows machine. This won't be able to play high end games as it has on board graphics but the same would apply to a tablet as well.
