The phone is excellent. Camera is even better.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really am pleased with this phone. It is my first smart phone so I was a little skeptical, but it is very easy to use. The only disappointing thing is the wireless charger that was a part of the deal is worthless. The charging function keeps turning itself off. I attempted to charge the phone which was at 18% last night and left it on the wireless charger all night. It was only charged up to 31% after 8 hours. For whatever reason, it turns off and you need to keep taking it off the pad and placing it back on, so what's the point???

Great Picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to buy Glaxy S7, but when i saw th Note 5‘s screen is big and the picture quality came out really good I decided to get Note 5. Most of my families are using iphone, but when i show them how the picture come out from this phone, now they only want use my phone to take picture. the rest future of the phone is similar to other phone, but the picture quality really stand out than any other phone.

I appreciate the stylus.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I also like the fact that it was similar enough to the Galaxy S3 that I was able to pick up where I left off after synching.

Excellent phone, the best Android on the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface this review by saying I am a device and tech hound. I am coming from a perfectly good Galaxy S5 and choose to pay full price for an upgrade. It was worth every penny and don't regret the decision one bit. The first thing that grabs you about this phone is the awesome build quality of the phone. This is a first rate device no question. As good as anything the boys from Cupertino can put out. The phone is sleek and has a super high quality feeling in your hand. Not that the S5 was bad but this is like comparing a Toyota to Lexus in terms of materials and fit/finish. As an iPad Air 2 owner I can say this device has a feel just as premium if not more so. The stylus clicks into place with a satisfying sound as well and functions well even though I use an Otterbox. The wireless charging feature also works fine through the Otterbox. Performance, this thing is a beast. Eight cores, 4 GB of ram as much as my 3 year old HP Elitebook might I add. A screen resolution so crisp and clear the colors literally jump out at you. The ability to multi task and run several apps at once is incredible. It blows the doors off the S5 in every performance measure and packs a nice large screen in a relatively small package. I love the 5.7 inch screen size and is notably bigger than the 5.1 on my S5. I considered other 5.5 plus inch phones but kept coming back to the balance of performance and size of the Note 5. If you are on the fence between a small tablet or a large phone this phone is a good compromise. Camera performance is remarkable and the image stabilization is noticeable. Haven't gotten a chance to use the raw mode yet but this is another great feature putting it light years ahead of the competition. The best camera is the one you have on you. This might just be the best one period certainly as good as standard compact digital cameras under 200 dollars. Not as good as a larger sensor enthusiast grade compact or DSLR but impressive in its own right and better than many of the affordable entry level digital cameras today. Performance as phone is excellent too, who would have thought that is what a smart phone is first and foremost a phone. Texting is also a breeze with the built in Samsung messaging app. Speaker phone is appropriately loud as well. Lastly to address the 500 lb elephant in the room is the lack of an SD card and removable battery, I was one of the people morning the loss but thanks to excellent battery performance and the awesome build quality it can be overlooked. Plus with the new USB OTG flash drives you can easily save and back up/transfer information. Thus I was able to go with a pearl white 32 GB model which will be more than enough for me. I considered a wide variety of Android and even the iPhone 6 Plus but nothing came close to the balance of performance and value to what the new Note 5 offers. As of fall 2015 this is the phone that sets the standard and an awesome stylus to jot notes down is a bonus.

hands down winner over iphone 6s plus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this phone over a month now and i can not believe this phones capability. 1. Real 4k screen that is MUCH MORE crisp over 6s. 2. Battery life that lasts all day and i am glued to the phone playing 4k utube vids. I have a hard time trying to drain the battery all the way. I have to really force myself to use all battery in one day. I still have to charge at around 30% after all day use. 3. Amazing speed compared to 6s. This thing opens and closes running more than 10 apps with a breeze. I really dont think many phones can do that. 4. Camera is world class. I have a hard time justifying using my gopro to record at 4k when this phone only does better. 5. Wireless charging. Need i say more? Just put it on top of charging pad and forget. I dont have to deal with the annoying charging cables anymore. Many of my friends have iphone 6s and they are now considering switching. This phone does almost everything better and looks even more luxurious than the prev generations. make sure to get clear protectors since u wanna show off how gorgeous this phone looks. I did not want to hide how good this phone looks by using a bulky phone covers. overall, Good job Samsung! I dont know how u guys are gonna top this one!

Great phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the note 2 prior to this, so this was a great upgrade for me. Very fast and excellent camera quality. I was looking for speed, good camera, and screen size, and this phone fit the bill (plus it was on sale for $100 when I got it). The added features as compared to the note 2 are pretty good. My favorite features: - If your phone is locked and you take out the stylus, and you write a quick note on the screen and save. - unlock the phone using your finger print - get to camera quickly (double click on home screen) - takes really good quality pictures - selfie photoshot: you can hold the phone out in front of you and the phone will take the picture without you have to click anything Downsides: - no mircosd slot, so can't add memory - no removeable back (when my note 2 started acting up, the only way I could reset it was literally taking out the battery...not sure what my fallback would be for this phone if I ever needed to do a force shut down...) Summary: good phone for someone not looking for all the bells and whistles, just needs the phone to work fast, but does include some really nice features and perks that give it that little extra something something.

Q: QuestionDidn't Verizon rid of phone contracts?Although your website lists a contract price for a Verizon Wireless phone, Verizon announced that the company would end 2-year contracts starting today, August 13th. As a customer, I am confused; however, if 2-year contracts are still available through Best Buy, that would be great.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Good news for existing Verizon customers: You’ll still be able to get discounted phones for $100 or $200 by renewing a two-year service contract. Verizon clarified its policy in an email on Tuesday. As long as you stay with the current plan, you can upgrade at a discount. So if you were anticipating a new model from Apple or Samsung, you can wait until those phones come out.

Q: QuestionNote 5 antenna quality?I have the Note 3 and my husband has a different samsung phone. My husband always has better reception for calls and texting. I'd say half the time I can't text. Very frustrating. Can anyone tell me if that has improved with the newer Note?

Q: QuestionHow does the Samsung Galaxy Note5 compare to an iphone?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Size and feel are similar to the iPhone 6 plus. I've had both. I LOVED both! You absolutely cannot go wrong either way. I happen to lean more towards the android because of the freedom to customize with ring tones and widgets. The s pen is so much fun! I'm writing with it right now. Both devices have a premium feel and both have amazing displays. The speaker sounds better on the Note 5, but the camera and video are a little better on the iPhone 6 plus. Either choice is the right one!

Q: QuestionHow much will it cost if I am already a Verizon subscriberI have a galaxy s5 I bought a year and 2 months ago, and it's worn down. The price says 99.99 with subscription is it the same if I already subscribed?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I went for an upgrade 2 weeks ago. They are doing away with contracts, so what they are doing now is having us pay full price for the phone. Since nobody would pay $700 up front for a phone, they allow payments added to your bill. The bill is $20 less without being on a contract for whatever reason, and the phone adds $30. So my bill is $10 more a month. Up front, I had to pay taxes which was $70, but best buy gave a $250 gift card. I'm throwing a lot of numbers at you, so in summary : Payed nothing the day i bought the phone, walked away with $140 gift card (after taxes and a nice case), and my bill is $10 more a month. When the phone is payed off, bill will be $20 cheaper than it was before. Sorry for the novel.

Q: Question$200 Gift Card?I checked the BB site for Verizon phones, and I don't see the $200 gift card offer anymore. Is Best Buy still offering the gift card with the turn in of a working smartphone? It's 09/01/2015. Did the offer end in August? Thanks.

- A:Answer I got that deal on August 26th but the store told me it was till September 26th which is tomorrow but I believe it only goes till then in stores not online so go check it out in store by tomorrow

Q: QuestionHow does a contract work? For the 32GB it says its $49.99 with a contract, so do I still have to pay a monthly payment or anything? And if so, how much will it be?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, the contract locks you in for two years to a phone plan. There is a $40 upgrade fee but no monthly payment for the device.

Q: Questiondoes unactived phone means it's unlocked?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, unactivated simply means that there is no plan/contract on the phone, as in you didn't buy the phone and put a number on it. Unlocked means that it can be used on different carriers. So instead of buying a Verizon Note5 or a Sprint Note5, it would simply be a Note5 that you can put on whichever carrier you'd like. Hope that makes sense!
