- A:Answer Although this unit is an MP3 player first and foremost, there are 3rd party applications on the Android Market that will allow you to make calls or Texts right from the Galaxy Player. Please note a wireless connection will be required for these applications since the Galaxy Player does not offer any cell phone radios or features. -MrSamsung

Asked by Google/Android Fan.

Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Since the Galaxy Player is an Android device, it will not be compatible with iTunes out of the box. that said, there are apps on the Android Market that will allow you to download music to the device, like Google Music. You can also purchase and download MP3s directly to your PC from your favorite music websites, then transfer them to the Galaxy Player using the supplied USB cable. -MrSamsung

Q: QuestionAre the any filters available for this MP3?Thinking about getting this for our kids but want to make sure they can only get on age appropriate apps, etc
Asked by cheadings.
- A:Answer Although the Player will not offer a built in content filter (since Android does not offer this feature built-in), the main way to purchase and download apps, Google Play Store, will offer content filtering as well as Pin protection for downloading and installing apps. You can access these options by launching the Google Play Store app, then pressing the menu button. -MrSamsung

Q: QuestionWill all apps work on the Samsung? For example: Tango, Endomondo, Google Calendar? Someone please give me accurate information! Thank you so much in advance!
Asked by Google/Android Fan.
- A:Answer So far we can tell you that everything we have downloaded from the Android Market has worked (game and apps). It has Gingerbread as the OS and my Grandson and I have used Tango (from his Player to my Tab). Also has Google Calendar and Google Mail stock. There may be a few things out there that don't work on Gingerbread but so far we have not found them.
