Heavy. Poor camera. Pass on this.

Quality1 out of 5Value1 out of 5Ease of Use1 out of 5I'm sorry, but I can't comprehend these five-star reviews. Let me put this phone into a digestible snippet for you: 1) It's very heavy! Like, more so than ANY other phone I've owned. So heavy that you can't even put this thing in your jeans or shorts without it dragging them down. (I carried this in the front pocket of my favorite sleep shorts and almost caused a disturbance at Publix.) 2) Contrast. OMG. They have turned up the contrast levels so much on this thing that it becomes impossible to ignore! Scrolling through FB, every image is just bursting out at you in a skewed Willy Wonka fashion. You can't even look at the news without each and every image blasting you in the face. 3) The camera. Speaking of contrast...if you prefer taking pictures and having them look NOTHING like they do in real life, then THIS is the phone for you! I took multiple side-by-side pics with this phone and my old Google Pixel 2XL and the difference was day and night (or, as this phone's camera would say, 'super bright yellow and blinding white.'" What, I assume, they were trying to do with this phone was "punch up" all your pictures so you can share them instantly without editing. Instead, every picture looks face and overly saturated (see attached pic).

Best phone I've ever owned

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Camera, Design, Photo qualityBeautiful bright display, excellent cameras for photos and video. It has a fun "Single take" feature that records a short video and snaps several photos as you pan your shot for about 15 seconds, then arranges the photos and short video clips in a collage that you can edit, keep, or delete as you wish. I wouldn't buy the phone just for this but it's a fun addition. The phone's processor is extremely powerful. Even with multiple apps open there is never a glitch or slow down. Everything is fast, smooth and reliable. I use my screen in 120hz mode and videos, animations, and scrolling are the smoothest I've seen on any screen anywhere. Expert reviews say 120hz drains battery faster but I get through a full day of use with power to spare. If you're a super heavy user you can switch to 60hz mode to save power. It's still great but not quite as buttery smooth. I'm not a gamer so I can't address that. Everything else I do on this phone is smooth and effortless. For example, Android Auto with my old Nexus 6P worked, but everything was laggy and sometimes glitchy. I thought it was Android Auto problem because 6P was a decent phone. Nope. Galaxy S20 runs it fast and solid with no glitches. My in-car experience is way better now. The more I live with this phone on a daily basis the more I like it. It is a great tool that enhances my experience no matter what I'm using it for. I agree the S20 line is very expensive, but if you don't need the huge screen on the plus or ultra (I actually like the smaller pocketable size better), the S20 cost is in line with other flagship phones and is a top quality product. Watch for sales and promotions. This unlocked version was $200 off for a short time so I snatched one. Btw I use this on T-Mobile and it works great for cellular and 4g LTE. There's no 5g in my area yet so I haven't tested that yet.

Lifelong iPhone user switched and LOVE IT!
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Far far superior phone and UI! I've used iPhones since the 2nd generation and up until now, I always believed iPhones were far superior and in the beginning they were, but... NOT ANYMORE! I know a lot of reviews said that the iPhones feel more substantial, but in my opinion, my S20 feels amazing to hold and I love the fact that it's lighter. Also, the UI with Android and Samsung One UI 2 is so much more advanced than iOS. Apple has stopped innovating and Samsung is picking up the slack and in a good way!

Good phone not so good value
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5If you want the latest and greatest from Samsung this is it. Although you will find cheaper phones with similar specs so if you're looking for bang for the buck look elsewhere. At least they took out the Bixby button. 120Hz screen refresh rate locked to 1080p is not a big deal for me but it should be included in 1440p because other manufacturers have it. Also, once you use a 120Hz screen everything else will seem slow. Battery life is good but nothing stellar. Overall a good phone which I can easily recommend over the S20+ and S20 Ultra unless you want a bigger screen and bigger battery. If you can find this phone on discount even better because $1000 is still too much for a phone.

Great Phone....depending on what your upgrade
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5So I love this phone. Its a great phone with awesome features, plus the pink is such a cool color. I upgraded from the S10 and if I hadn't gotten $600 for it I probably wouldn't have upgraded, but if you have an older phone say an S9 or S8 then I would highly recommend upgrading.

Excellent phone.
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I would have to give this a 4.8/5.0 only because I bought the unlocked version because they are supposed to work on all carriers but when I use it for att they won't let me use VoLTE or wifi calling which I need in my area since service isn't the best so I will be returning this phone and swapping It for the att model. Hopefully this is a good enough reason to wave the restocking fee.

S View Class and Perfect Size
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Love the s20 so much, it's really the perfect size for a phone. I upgraded from an galaxy s10e to the s20 and I couldn't be happier. I was a little worried because people said that the s20 was not so great, but that couldn't be further from the truth, great phone and awesome cases by Samsung. The S view flip cases are so much better this time around.

Q: QuestionCan I buy this unlocked S20 and use it on the Verizon network? (I do not want the Verizon S20 UW phone, because it only has 8GB of RAM and it does not have an SD card slot.) Will sacrifice any features by buying this unlocked version of the S20? Thanks!
Asked by sf.
- A:Answer yes, this unlocked phone will work on any network. I bought this phone about 2 months ago. I have att but my wife has Verizon (different work plans) and her sim card works in my phone no problems. Unlocked basically just means you get the phone as the manufacturer built it, with the stock manufacturer version of Android. Buying the carrier version is essentially the same except that they put their own slightly different version of Android on it (locking the radios to only work on a given provider as well as putting different apps on the phone right out of the box).
