Great phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the best phone I've owned. My previous androids were HTC and I'm so happy I made the switch to Samsung. The camera is fantastic, my cats whiskers look crystal clear in low light, the attached picture has been cropped and enlarged slightly. I have the wireless charging mat which is a fun gizmo but I'm glad that I got it for free, certainly not worth $60. The otterbox commuter case does work with the wireless mat, and the purple case looks very snazzy with the sapphire front of the phone. Call quality is excellent.

Excellent phone with one major problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone is excellent. All of the features of the phone work really well. The camera is fantastic. And I really enjoy using this state of the art, world class, top-of-the-line smart phone, with one exception. There is a setting called advanced calling 1.0. You need to turn this feature on which gives you both HD calling and video calling capability through Verizon. The sad part is that with this feature on the phone makes phone calls through the 4G LTE internet network and the service here on Long Island New York is not of a high enough quality to ensure interrupted phone calls. After going 10 years without dropped calls, I was back to a place where almost every other phone call people could not hear me or the phone call would fade out completely mimicking terrible cellular service. Turn off the advanced calling 1.0 feature and the cell phone will function like all other phones with clear phone conversation using the traditional means of cell towers to make the call. The sad part is due to the design of this phone, with the advanced calling 1.0 turned off although you will have clear phone calls you will not be able to have any data transfer during that phone call. That means forget looking something up on a map while speaking to a friend on the phone or doing any other Internet connectivity. So is it the problem in the design of the galaxy S6?, or is it Verizon's poor service for voice over Internet phone calls? Time will tell.

I bought an Otter Box carrying case for my S6
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Otter Box carrying case uses a belt clip and a side clip to hold the phone to the case. I think its doing an excellent job but twice I though the phone was securely attached to the case and it fell. No damage either time. The phone is protected when is on my belt or in my hand or loose. It is secures in a portable case that clicks to the portion that clips to my belt. It is a two part case that surrounds the phone It is a little differnt that the previous Otter box and is taking some time to get used to but it does the job and wasn't that expensive. The two pieces in the middle of the picture wrap the phone then the piece on the left holds them together and clips into to piece on the right.

Love phone but not the screen!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went almost 2 yrs with my previous Motorola smartphone without any problems. When I received my new Samsung S6 I was enamored. I absolutely enjoyed the phone for almost a month. No dropped calls, slim fit in my hands, operational speed is super fast, great pictures and video, and I could go on. But I don't believe a $600.00+ retail price phone with the Tzumi Proglass Galaxy S6 Tempered Glass Screen Protector in place should shatter the very first time it falls from hip high. I do have insurance but it hurts when you have to pay $149.00 deductible to have your new 29 day old smartphone replaced with a used "replacement" phone. Oh yes I am sick! Corning Gorilla Glass advertisement - "In lab tests, Gorilla Glass 4 withstood 1-meter drops onto rough surfaces 80% of the time. That’s up to 2x better than competitive glass designs." Maybe my beef should be with Corning?

Best smartphone I have Owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was due for an upgrade and was looking to get something I knew would last for awhile. After researching into newer smartphones I decided to go with the Galaxy S6. It had all the features I was looking for in a phone and I knew it would last me a while. Pros- fast processor (cannot beat an 8 core CPU), the cameras are amazing with great features for photo editing, Kids Mode for my 5 year old, most updated droid OS, wireless charging, screen is amazing with great HD display, easy to change running features and apps. Cons- Battery is good but not the best. If you get is phone research online ways to extend life you will find it helps a lot. The phone is not waterproof but to me this was not a big deal. The glass surrounding the phone makes it hard to hold at times so make sure you get a case and screen protector (I use Armorsuit screen protectors) Thoughts- great phone with all the features I was looking for. It maybe new and recently released but I found Samsung makes a great phone! This was my first Samsung phone but after playing it for awhile I think I am hooked on the Galaxy line.

Samsung Galaxy S6
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the phone for one month now. My previous phone was a Google Nexus 4. I miss a lot of things about my Nexus 4, like no bloatware. Hard getting used to it again after years without it. I like the fingerprint security. The settings are pretty easy to use and grouped together. My battery life has been good, unless I've been playing a lot of games, talking a lot and using a lot of data, I get more than 24 hours on a charge. I like to start each day with a fully charged phone so I don't often go into the next day without charging it. The 'selfie' camera takes decent pictures. Though I have the 32GB version, I still wish I could add memory. I missed that with my Nexus 4 also. I haven't often wished I could remove the battery so that isn't an issue. The memory issue is a problem - I hope they get that fixed soon. I haven't explored all of the features but I like the phone so far although that could be just because it was time for a new one.

Q: QuestionWhich is the better deal? Installment plan or $1.00 with a two yr. contract.I'm not familiar with Verizon. I have ATT and save 15.00 with no contract but their service isn't good enough for the places I need the phone to work. What extra charges are involved with a contract?
Asked by DK.
- A:Answer I think the $1 deal is a way better deal since it's exactly what it says - $1. I would add Geek Squad protection, though. Of course, that means you're really paying about $8 per month and that adds up over the course of a 2 year contract, but it's still cheaper than the installment plan. My phone had a manufacturer malfunction with the internal speaker and I stopped being able to use it for regular conversation after I'd had it for about 6 months. When Geek Squad couldn't fix the problem, I got a new upgraded phone free of charge and my contract didn't start over, so I can still upgrade in another year and a half if I want.

Q: QuestionWhen I pay the 200 dollars for a two year contract (Verizon white Samsung Galaxy 6) do I still have to pay monthly? first time buying a phone.
Asked by Ethan.
- A:Answer Yes. $200 is discounted price for this phone because you are buying it with new 2-year contract. If you stay on the contract you don't have to pay more for the phone itself but you will pay monthly for the service and it is not really cheap. If you decide to cancel contract before 2 years then you will pay the Cancellation fee which is several hundred dollars. From my experience is much better to buy phone for full price and use it with pre-paid service like Straight Talk. The monthly cost is about $50 for unlimited talk+text and 5Gb of data which is less than Verizon lowest offering. Straight Talk support "Bring Your Own Device" from AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. The best way to estimate the value is to calculate total cost you going to pay over 2 years. Take initial price of the phone and add 24 month of service of your choice. Then the difference will be obvious. I bought Verizon-compatible phone for full price and hooked it up with Straight Talk and it work perfectly.

Q: QuestionIf you buy the phone for $1, do you still have to pay an additional $24 a month for it?DO you still have to pay for the device monthly in addition to service fees for the month?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No you just pay the dollar but you are in the 2 year contract for the discounted price. Then you just pay your regular monthly bill and the upgrade fee which is usually 35 or 40 depend on your carrier

Q: Questionwhat difference from 4g to 4 g lte
Asked by 4g.
- A:Answer http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/4g-vs-lte/ Basically 4G stands for the 4th GENERATION of cellular technology. LTE is more or less made up by the carriers to sound fancier than it is. All 4 major carriers claims the have '4G LTE' data, yet Verizon is hitting 99% of the country with 50MBPS DL speed (for example), whereas Sprint is hitting 50% of the country with 5MBPS DL speeds. They both are claiming 4G LTE, but are vastly different in their approaches.

Q: Questionshould i go with the s5 or s6?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I'd say go for the s6. I went back and forth between the 2 for like 2 weeks and am so happy with the s6. I also read alot of reviews that the s5 started slowing down and having problems once you did the software update but the s6 already comes with it and is built to support it so again I'd say go with the s6.
