Samsung - Galaxy S6 edge with 64GB Memory Cell Phone

This phone has re-ignited my interest in smart phones! Not only has it proven itself where my past phones failed but there are so many advanced features that I have yet to explore and discover. My favorite aspect of the phone is the camera using the PRO settings and the "vivid" palette. I have included a picture I took this afternoon. The vivid colors and crystal clear images still amazes me and I have stopped using my larger DSLR as a result. The only improvement I would recommend is longer battery life. By the end of a normal day I am running on empty.

My wife was up for a new phone, at least SHE was ready for one. We went and showed her all of the new phones. She was upgrading from a much larger phone and liked the feel, looks and overall design of this phone. She likes the speed of the device and loves how beautiful the screen is. She takes several pictures with it and they turn out great as well. Her only complaint is her carrier which has little to do with the product itself. It's a great device., but with limited accessories.

I'll preface my following review by stating that I'm on a plan from Sprint, and therefore my S6 Edge came with Sprint's software and apps. Purchased this on release day and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The phone is very fast, I can switch between apps quickly and with ease. The battery lasts about a day and a half before I need to recharge, which is great. The camera takes pretty good pictures, but I haven't really played with it much yet. The screen is beautiful, I don't think I've ever seen a better screen on anything before. My few gripes with it are as follows. The built-in speaker is not very loud. I may or may not be getting as good of a signal as my S4 did. It's hard to judge without seeing some actual numbers for signal strength, but I think I may be getting about a bar less on 4G. The phone straight out of the box is probably the slipperiest thing I've ever seen, a case is required just so it doesn't fall off the couch, my lap, the ottoman, etc. Like I said earlier, I'm thoroughly enjoying this phone and look forward to seeing what new apps come out to take advantage of the curved screen.

I purchased this Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge for it's display alone, and I was not disappointed. The subtle curves from edge to edge provide an elegant 3-D effect to the display, and the 577 ppi Super Amoled display is a thing of true beauty. Samsung did an amazing job on the color accuracy and saturation found in the S6 Edge's Quad HD display. Apart from the display, this phone absolutely flies through any task I throw at it due to Samsung's own 64-bit Exynos 7 Octa 7420 processor. The custom skins do, however, slow the phone down a bit, but not enough to keep me from using them. Both the 16 MP rear and 5 MP front-facing cameras take incredible photos and video. I have not found a smartphone camera setup that can beat it. The wireless and fast charging capabilities are also a welcome addition since the battery is not removable and has only an average battery life. There are also many great features found in the more simplistic version of Touchwiz that make using this phone a great experience. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone willing to spend the extra money for it!

Moving from an S5 to the S6 edge. Yes , no removable battery or micro SD card, but still did the switch. Figure with most carriers going to a lease, I would jump on this for $1 and be able to avoid leasing for two more years. Now the phone is fast and better clarity than the S5. One thing I do regret is getting the edge , wish I would have just gotten the S6. I always use a gorilla glass case for my phones since I am primarily on a motorcycle and like the idea of the heavy gorilla glass case. My S5 looks like the day I purchased it even though it has been dropped too many times to count! With the S6 Edge, all the cases feel like the screen is exposed the way it is rounded to contour to the phone. Hopefully, with the case I purchased and the gorilla glass screen protector I bought, this will also look like the day it was purchased two years from now!

I had previously come from a Nexus 5 which was a great phone in itself. I thought I would miss using stock Android and the ability to flash custom roms easily. However, this phone has enough new features and TouchWiz is unobtrusive enough that I don't miss my Nexus 5 at all. The phone is fast, has a great screen, the best camera of all smartphones, and once your have fingerprint unlock on a phone you can't go back. Add in wireless charging (Qi and PMA) and an IR blaster and what more could you want. Also, you can install the material design theme from the samsung store and if you use a custom launcher like Nova, it will keep the some elements of the dark theme and get rid of alot of the bright touchwiz colors. If you are on the fence about leaving stock android don't be.

Upgraded from an GS4 to this phone. Great speed, stylish, and the camera is fast and clear. Thin and very light. Charges very fast.

I love love love my Edge...however just today it has been giving me a little problem with freezing and I have had to do a hard shut down twice to get it unstuck. Hopefully this issue will resolve itself soon. It also tends to get extremely hot every now and then. Apart from those two technical issues I love it. It's a beautiful design, the camera is phenomenal, it's intuitive and I love that I can take a photo and share it while I'm using the phone! All in all a great phone - I"m hoping my glitches are just pertinent to this unit and if I have to change it out I won't have the same experience.
