Q: What are the differences between buying at Best Buy and buying at Verizon?
A: The customer service you get at best buy is far superior than at verizon and the geek squad protection plans are far better. I just bought a tablet and even though it's pre paid I still could get it insurance
A: The glass is fragile. The entire device is made of glass. It is highly recommended to get both a case and screen protector.
Q: How much internal memory is taken up by preloaded apps?
A: Only 10.7 GB. I have over 100 apps cause I use any app available with tons of photos and videos all saved to phone not a memory card and still have 27 GB unused.
Q: Where are the speakers? Front or rear facing? How many speakers? Stereo sound?
A: Not stereo - speaker holes are on bottom of phone next to charging port..
A: I have one with an otterbox defender and haven’t had that issue. My son has one with an otterbox commuter and a mophie case and hasn’t had that issue either. (We have the 8+)
A: Yes, I was already a Verizon customer. But my phone was due for an upgrade.
A: I asked the same question to a Verizon Rep whos answer was yes, but not so sure of the answer if I asked another rep. They can say anything they like, but I wouldn't be convinced until I see the bill.
A: Best Buy is taking $300 off the top. You can put $0 down or put something down, but the rep said I have to finance something, even as low as $20. I got the S8, put $400 and financed $20. I will pay off in my next bill. There's isn't a penalty to pay off early, but the rep advised to wait at least until the 14 day return period in case you want to return. This is better than a carrier direct deal, where they charge you full price on the payment plan and give you a bill credit. For those deal, when you pay off early, you lose the remaining monthly credits.
