Great tablet for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as an upgrade to my Tab 2 7 inch. Grabbed it when they cut the price due to the release of the Tab 3. Weren't any real big updates to the 3 so I figured why not save the money. Hoping it will replace my laptop for my day to day internet usage. So far it's been perfect. The battery life has been great and it's much less bulky than my laptop. It's very thin which for my hands was not good. Added a silicone case to it to add some girth and that made it easier to grip. Like most tablets there's no usb but there's an add on plug available that adds that for using an external device if needed. Almost all my electronics are Samsung from phone right through this tablet and every one of them performs exceptionally. The android platform means it performs exactly the way my Note phone does so it creates uniformity. Between the 3 the phone has been great, signal virtually anywhere and easy access to internet for quick reference. The Tab 7inch is what I carry for day to day travel. You can access Netflix so waiting for the wife at appointments goes by in a flash and the screen is perfect for game playing like Candy Crush. (You know you play that!) The 10 inch is great for day to day and transports easy on vacation for long term travel. They all run on the same platform so nothing changes except the size. Couldn't ask for anything better. In the future I'd like to see Samsung add an onboard micro usb and expansion up to 64gb through the micro sd expansion. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an easy to use tablet that will go the distance. Quality made and performs perfectly. Price is no higher than any low end laptop available and exceeds apple in performance in my opinion, for half the price as well. Couple this with an external hard drive and an external cd drive and it will do just about anything a laptop will do and you don't have to lug the heavy drive weight around making portability a piece of cake.

Good, Not Great Tablet!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet is probably the best value for its $329 price. If you can are able and willing to spend an extra $120 I would recommend the Galaxy Note. The screen resolution is great but not Retina or Super HD. Really The Galaxy Tab 2 is just a super-sized version of the Galaxy S III. I would have liked to see some more capabilities and features than the phone. Overall a great tablet for the price and I would recommend it!

Great Tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my tablet for a couple months now and love it. I can easily do quick internet searches when needed instead of firing up my desktop or trying to see what I need on a much smaller smartphone screen. I can leisurely surf, play a game, read a book, check email, view and work with my notes and files on Evernote, Springpad, etc., the same as on my desktop, but comfortably from my recliner after a long day at work. I recently visited an older friend who is retired, and although she's not very comfortable with tech stuff, after playing around with my tablet for awhile, she decided she just had to have one. She bought her tablet that same weekend, paid full price, but when it went on sale a week later she got money back with Best Buy's price match guaranty (as did I when I purchased mine). She's had her tablet for about a month now and is still thrilled with it. I also like that the Samsung tablet has an expansion slot for an SD card for added storage unlike the iPad. It just plain offers so much more for the price and is a great product in my opinion. And the people at Best Buy will help you set it up if you're a tech novice, or help you any way they can. They're very helpful and are not paid commission. I really like that.

Great tablet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tablet last month and fell in love with the brightness and crispness of the colors. I went in to purchase the Toshiba Excite but loved how the Samsung Tab 2 responded. In comparison to the Note, I thought the Tab 2 was a better choice for me since the Note had too many functions that I didn't need. The cost of the Tab 2 was reasonable and affordable. I was concerned that the dual core wasn't going to respond as quickly as a quad core tablet like the Note and Excite, but it holds its own and is quick. I am very happy with my purchase. For me, this was a good choice because it is for personal use only. I can easily take it with me on vacation or to a friend's home.

Decent tablet for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung quality for a decent price. Tablet shipped with Android Jellybean version 4.1.1. Has a good solid feel and the dual speakers are nice. They are located on the front so no problems hearing them if the tab is in a case. Handles everything I throw at it without lag, pretty speedy overall. Touchscreen is responsive with no double taps required. Cameras are just average but work decently. No flash though. Works well with Skype which is a plus. Honestly it's a tablet not a camera. Wi-Fi is solid no connection drops anywhere I've connected to. My only minor gripe with the tablet itself is that the screen resolution could be better. It uses a 1280 x 800 PLS display and small text can look fuzzy. Not extreme but you do notice it. No issues with video quality though, looks nice and clear. Web pages are decent too as long as the text size isn't too small. If so, just zoom in a bit. Make no mistake though, the screen is NOT as nice as the iPad. However the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is about 100 bucks cheaper. You get what you pay for. Another item to note is "app quality". This has nothing to do with the Sammy tab and everything to do with Android apps in general. There are hundreds of thousands of apps available through Google Play market. Some are not optimized for tablet size viewing and can look strange. As much as I'm not an Apple fan, I have to admit that my Wife's iPad doesn't have the app issue. Every app looks right on the device. This is a decent, solid entry level 10" tablet from a "major" manufacturer at a more then competitive price. If you can live with the above small issues, I'd say go for it. I don't regret buying mine and it's serving it's purpose well.

IPad killer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The more I use it the more I like it. Had the 7" model first, didn't like it that well. This is the case where size does matter and in this case bigger is better. The 10.1 in screen allows websites to viewed in their normal version, some websites default to the mobile version because Android is used on phones but you can usually scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the classic or regular version of the website. Sound is very good for speakers on a tablet. The screen is bright and very nice. For price and features it blows the Apple products away. More FREE apps, more features, bigger screen (I pad is only 9.7") All in all I quite enjoy using it and highly recommend it. Had the Zagg screen protector installed on it, spendy but warrantied. Also bought the Belkin leather case, it was quite pricey but it was the one I liked the best (which of course was the most expensive).

Replacement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't have anything bad to say about the tablet. I like Samsung products so I decided to purchase it. I had a Toshiba Thrive Tablet, the screen broke and although it was under warranty, they wanted to charge me almost 200.00 to repair it. So, I decided to buy the Samsung, Best Buy told me I would not have that problem with them. I feel really good about that. I don't want to purchase apps but other than that, I like it a lot.

Q: QuestionWhy should I buy the Samsung instead of the I-pad?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Simple answer... all Apple products are missing a "byte", just look at the logo :-) Seriously, the Samsung Tablet series has a faster dual-core processor, and expandable memory by adding up to a 32gb MicroSD card. The apps available for the Android users are far more greater and do not require the use of the problem plagued Itunes. More apps are free, and more apps are available.

Q: QuestionDo it have 2 years contract ??
Asked by mmusyawir.
- A:Answer No contract at all. The Samsung tablets do not have cellular (3g/4g) connections. Best choice is to add a mobile hotspot from your carrier of choice and then connect with the wi-fi to the tablet. This keeps you from being stuck with a carrier because of your tablet purchase choice.
